I've bought chromis, Coraline algae and live foods from here before. Nice set up. They don't rent PAR meters which was why I haven't bought corals yet, but I'm planning on getting some from here. The photos attached are from October 4th, 2023. Do not rely on my photos for prices I'm just posting to show what they had that day.I'm in the works of trading in some freshwater fish for store credit to go towards these guppies.

My son and I had an amazing experience here. The customer service and knowledge of the employees is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and you are definitely getting quality here. The fish are so well taken care of. We definitely will return for future aquarium needs!

On Saturday 1/6/24 my husband and I drove from Sherman to visit this Plano store. It was one of two stores recommended by a store local to our area. We needed to buy live rock and get information on saltwater tanks.We walked in and saw three people. One young female was attending tanks, she was holding a fishnet. She smiled at us but never spoke or offered assistance. The other two people in the store were engaged in a conversation about dogs. We assumed the female in the conversation was a customer as her back was to us. The man saw us but never spoke or offered assistance or the customary, when you’re already with a customer, “I’ll be right with you”. We walked around in the same room these three people were in for about five minutes, admiring the fish and corals. After so much time went by, and still no assistance to help, my husband asked where the other store was that had been recommended. We Googled it and found it was less than two miles away. We decided to leave and go to the other store, since we couldn’t get a greeting or an offering of help in this store. As we headed to the door the man said “oh have you been helped?” I responded No!! (Who was gonna help us? None of them offered to, and we never saw anyone else) then he said “what were you needing? I responded “we’re good” and continued to the door. At the time he decided to engage us, the female he had been having the conversation with turned slightly and I noticed she was holding what appeared to be a fishnet, which suggested she wasn’t a customer after all but an employee!!! So we visited a small local business…not local to us…but not a national chain either and received no greeting, no help!!!We then drove to the next store. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and welcomed with the biggest and most genuine smile!!! We had every question we had answered with expert knowledge and care. We purchased 75 pounds of live rock and when we left we felt like we were appreciated.Going forward, when we can’t find what we need locally we will always do business with the second store.

I have been meaning to check out this place for a while so I decided to stop and I'm so glad I did. This place has some amazing tanks and great fish and corals that's very healthy and reasonable price. This will become my go to place for corals now. Also the staff is very educated on corals. I recommend this place.

When I went here I just went here to find a tank but turns out I bought a crawfish, he is amazingly healthy and I'm coming here again to buy him a girlfriend so I can breed them. I recommend this place so much! Like it has both salt and freshwater fish!As a crayfish breeder, I love this place soooooo much! 💙💙💙💙

Beautiful collection of fresh and salt water fish, not a lot of aquatic plants but nice and healthy collection. I can tell that they take good care of their fish 🐟.Customer service is excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.Special thanks to Christine and wilis.Good job guys.

This place is awesome. Had a plumbing question and they didn't have the part but directed me to where it was and drew me a map on a piece of a board that was near by. My kids loved it. Will definitely be back.

Willis and the staff at Aquatic Design are wonderful. Very helpful, very knowledgable and quite practical. The store is nice and clean, they take pride in their place and they have a very nice selection of livestock, rock, and equipment. Great prices on water as well. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

I wouldn't recommend them anymore, they used to be good, but now everytime I go in, their salt fish are riddled with ich. I bought one recently because it looked as if they were clear, it died overnight, and now I have 2 more fighting ich. Fortunately they are hardy and will hopefully pull through, but I do not reccomend them anymore.

Shops like this should be peppered all over tx. While looking for pet stores in the city this finally came across maps as a suggestion. Tired of skimming through petco locations do so this was like fresh air. They didn't have what I was searching for though.

Super cool place! They have a TON of selection from fish to sea anemones and more! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't buy anything, as i was just pricing things out, but they answered all the random questions i had and i will DEFINITELY be back to get all my aquarium needs!

This is a awesome little store with a decent selection of fresh water and a great selection of salt water fish, the man working helped me out and I was very greatful after having been to 4 different stores looking for a certain type of fish and they had it. I will be returning.

Used to be one of my favorite shops for aquarium supplies. Every few months I'll pop in for a few min just to see what's on offer. I can't tell if it's the hobby in decline or just supplier issues. It's not what it used to be. Staff are nice and eager to help most of the time. Price for animals is higher than average. Selection is ok but not worth the trip anymore.

I went to this shop in hopes to find a new selection of reef fish and corals, which most of the fish either had scratches, ripped fins, or some weird fungal growth. They have a great variety of corals but it’s too bad a lot are bleaching or dying in general. To top off this horrid experience one of the employees completely ignored my questions and told me to ask another coworker (he was cleaning algae but come on). The other coworkers were just fine, Christina was very helpful, but considering the fact the owner would let another coworker act as such without noticing is beyond me. Most likely will not be going back unless they take care of their stock better and fire the very unpleasant young worker. I wish I got his name to make an official complaint to the owner but just from my first experience I doubt the owner hasn’t already noticed his behavior, which is why I will not be going back anytime soon.

I had a very good experience with this place and found each staff member that I encountered to be very helpful. The store manager spent nearly an hour with me, patiently explaining the nitrogen cycle of a fish tank and he even gave me a demonstration on how to vacuum the substrate. (I already have a tank and was inquiring as to how to properly cycle it, so his patience was not just to make a big sale.) When I went back in a couple of days later, there was another gentleman there, who was also very helpful. They are low key and not pushy at all. While no one ever ran up to greet me and I was never bombarded with people asking if I needed assistance, all I had to do was ask, or in one case look like I needed help, and I was helped immediately.

At first, I had a difficult time finding something suitable for my tank, but the staff was very diligent in making sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. The store owner even took time out of his schedule to offer suggestions and assistance.
