From the second we walked in and were greeted until we stumbled our way to the car with full bellies, we were very content with this little restaurant. The owners are very nice and serve up some amazing food. We got two trio platters and a pretzel with bier cheese and everything was absolutely amazing. My wife’s favor thing was the potato salad. She said it’s the best she’s had in the US (besides her mom’s) since she was 7 y.o.I highly recommend the curry worst and the beef worst. My wife said the chicken schnitzel and potato salad are must haves.Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Found this little friendly German food stand with the friendliest staff. The location can be a bit of a drive, but well worth it. We ordered the Chicken schintzel sandwich with red cabbage, it was good! The crust was a schnitzel crust that was delicious and the red cabbage was seasoned just right. We also of course had the Pork schintzel with German potato salad and cheese spatlez. The schintzel was very good, tender and the crust was great. The potato salad was really good and the cheese spatlez also. Finally, we just had to try the Apple strudel which was nice and warm, and not too sweet. Over all we will definitely return.$$

I heard about this place a while back but have waiting until I could bring my folks to try it. We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and we were the only people there. Unfortunately they only had a few pork schnitzel left but that just told me that they must have been busy during lunch and that their food is super fresh. My daughter and I both had chicken schnitzel sandwiches and my folks had a pork schnitzel sandwich and pork schnitzel plate. I tried some of the pork and even though both were delicious, the chicken ranked just a tad bit higher in my opinion. So I was thankful they only had a few pork schnitzel left otherwise I wouldn’t know how delicious the chicken was. I also ordered a side of German potato salad and wanted to see if it was like the German potato salad I grew up with and it was! Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and flavorful. And the owners were so friendly and welcoming. We will DEFINITELY be back!

This was my first time visiting the TSH and it exceeded my expectations. The food austhentic, fresh and very good. The customer service was top notch and the grounds were very cute with pictic tables and big oak trees. I will definitely be returning. We ordered the pork schnitzel on a pretzel and a brat on a homemade sourdough bun with cucumber salad, red cabbage and an apple strudel. Everything was excellent!

I’ve been on the hunt for authentic German food and this is the place! The owners are super friendly and have German heritage.This was my first visit and had the Weisswurst with sauerkraut. It’s got the same consistency as what you’d find at a German Christmas Market! That’s a rarity in the US. I’m excited to try the rest of the menu.Currently they are renovating to allow indoor seating for climate control. Don’t let that deter you for enjoying the delicious food. I’m looking forward to when it’s complete!This was a great pit stop after a fun gravel ride in the area and I can’t wait for our next visit!

Great little food truck! They have covered and uncovered seating areas, all outdoor so that you can bring your pup. I got the pork schnitzel plate with the cucumber salad and spaetzle and the Berry streusel for dessert. The schnitzel was tender and well seasoned with just enough sauce on top. The spaetzle was fluffy and delicious. The streusel was good, but I wish the whipped cream were a little thicker, but of course, that's a personal preference. All in all, excellent experience, and we'll be back.UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW:The pretzel and beer cheese are so good! I usually don't eat either but the pretzel has the right amount of salt and denseness that you're looking for. The cheese is served hot and had that "bier" authenticity that a lot of pub cheese lacks. Everything we've had (we come back often) is consistently yummy, hot and fresh!

Love this place, such a fun open environment for outside lunch. Food was great so be sure to save room for dessert because it will not disappoint. Love having German locally and being able to support such a great new business in this area. The owner Tom and his staff were very friendly and I enjoyed visiting and getting to know them. We’re just visiting the area for work and this place was definitely a 10! The food was delicious! Service was very fast. Such a relaxing and comfortable area to eat! Got the sausage trio with curry sausage, bratwurst, & countrywurst. (Not worth $19.00) Curry was sliced sausage that was drowned in what tasted like a vinegar based bbq sauce. The two brats were good. Sauerkraut was extremely salty! & for dessert we got 2 apple strudel. It was a very thin dough 2”X4”X1” around small diced apple chunks. No filling, no walnuts, if you try to pick it up by hand all the apple chunks just fall out. There was a tiny amount of powdered sugar & a seperate dusting of cinnamon on top that overwhelmed all the other flavors. No whipped cream like in the other review photos. (Not worth $4.50 each)Wife got chicken schnitzel sandwich. Chicken was dry & breading had no seasoning/flavor. She said only flavor was provided by tomato, lettuce & aioli. Cucumber salad was good.Order taker & delivering staff were very polite & welcoming.Eating German in the Texas Hill Country ought to be fairly easy. The Tiny Schnitzel Haus was a great disappointment!I should have taken more photos before I ate the food & threw away what I could not stand to eat. Spending $50 on 2 meals in this day a person can’t afford to trash the whole thing.

So happy we decided to give this place a try! Everything was outstanding! My husband and I shared the sausage plate and the schnitzel plate with sauerkraut, red cabbage, and cucumber salad. We also ordered a pretzel (fresh homemade) and fries for our two littles. The owners greeted us and took the time to talk about everything on their menu. My only regret is we couldn’t try all of it! We were stuffed and talking about coming back again before we finished our food! You seriously have to give this place a try!
