I hadn't been there since they remodeled, but I went to see Haley to get our Panamanian Parrot's talons trimmed (if y'all don't know Haley, she's amazing!). While I waited for her to do her thing, I met the super sweet owner and did a little shopping. The store looks great and the prices were really good too! I went in for a talon trim and left with a ton of toys and treats for our Doodle Bird lol

I got my Quaker parrot there and he’s amazing. They are very knowledgeable about what’s best for each bird. I take my parrot back every month to get his wings and nails clipped. We also board him there. They take great care of him. And the owner Mary is the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. She’s very hands on and can tell me what’s going on with my bird in a matter of seconds. Needless to say I recommend About Birds to everyone I know.

This store was very nice. They had a bunch of parrots, and although there was a lot of birds they were very well taken care of. This is where we got our wonderful parrot, Mango. While Mango was with Mary he was well fed and taken care of, mary was very nice and helpful, and she was happy to answer all of our questions. If anyone wants to know where to get a bird, I would definitely recommend Mary.

These people have been absolute life savers. We were out of town and our pet sitter fell through, they helped make sure our bird was taken care of and truly went above and beyond. They will be the only people I get my bird supplies from from now on.

Wanted to try a new place out and brought my Maacaw, horrible job was done. Nails were barely cut and wings looks horrible. I was charged $43. I understand my bird isn’t the easiest to work with but if that’s the case just let me know and I could have taken him somewhere else. I always take him to a parrots cove and they always do an excellent job despite my bird not being the best to work with. Not ever coming here again. Don’t bring your big birds here

The birds here would start screeching much but it's nothing unbearable, its quite normal for a bird store. They have alot of different types of birds surprisingly, according to what I was told, you can buy the birds ranging from $200 to $4000 I believe but the expensive ones are mainly only the few mcaws and huge parrots they have there. My visit was great and I definitely think anyone looking for bird breeders and cheap prices should check out this place. Thanks for the Quaker parrot I love it so much and so does my family

We got our first diamond dove here (Smoky) and we love him to pieces! Though his cage was a little dirty when we got him, he has remained the healthiest bird (even through the sickness of another dove that we bought from somewhere else). Thank y'all so much for an amazing animal!

Just inherited an Amazon parrot. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting what we needed. They offer grooming and boarding services at very reasonable rates. This will be our go to resource for caring for our new bird. I have great confidence in their ability to keep him happy and healthy.

Amazing place. The owner, Mary, is always willing to impart her knowledge on birds and help you as a parrot owner. I inherited my parrot ( Amazon) and I'm very new to it all - so needless to say I asked hundreds of questions and she answered them all and provided resources. It is a great place to board your parrot as well, I have had no issues and my parrot is always well taken care of - I will definitely be a continued customer.

Mary is the sweetest and most knowledgeable person when it comes to parrots. She's helped me bring in two feathered kids of my own, and keeps them well groomed. She has the most variety of healthy bird food for amazing prices, and has always helped me when I've had problems raising my birds. Her store is a godsend to parrot owners. If you have a bird, please do them a favor and come into this store for a visit. ☺

They are so amazing...Hayley is just the sweetest. She gave us so much information and tips even knowing we wouldn’t be able to do business with them. She was so patient and sweet and you can tell they truly love and cate for their birds. Their store maybe smaller than a lot of other places but they have a huge heart. I would def. recommend this store.

used to use ABC birds by the airport for our macaw, Boo. They would put him the back room and it was dark. My husband found Mary’s and she is awesome. Mary retire and Hailey took over. Both ladies are great and very knowledgeable about any bird. During the snow storm in February, we just landed from Alabama and didn’t have time to get Boo. We woke to a huge snow storm and Boo would have to stay a few more days due to weather. They lost power and Hailey and her dad drove that day and got ALL of the birds and took them too her house, talk about being impressed with them. We never worry about him when he is there. We always know he will be well taken care of. There is no other place where I would take my macaw for boarding and they also do a great job with grooming Boo. This is the only place I trust and know he is being well taken care of! That you everyone who works there, you all are special to my husband, tj and I.

This is a great place to go if you are a bird lover. Mrs Mary is the sweetest most knowledgeable person I have ran across. She has an assortment of beautiful birds as well as everything you need to take care of your feathered friends. Even though the shop is an hour away from me I still will go back over and over again.

People here are very friendly and helpful. This is my one stop shop for my bird (Lilly). Grooming, Boarding, Supplies..... They have it all. I recommend this place (About birds) above all others for your birds needs. They also have a pretty nice selection if you are wanting to purchase a bird.

The customer service is always good when i go there to get my birds' wings clipped and nails trimmed! They also have a good selection of birds and they are all so friendly! :-) I love this store because i can get lots of things here that i can't get at petsmart if i went to go get something from my dogs and need something for my bird too. :-)

I love this little hideaway bird store! Mary is such a wonderful lady! She hand raises each bird, and even boards birds for owners. She stocks great quality food even! I just can't say enough positive things about this place!

I'm thinking about getting a bird, but, I can't get one until the end of summer due to traveling. I decided I would go to every bird store that I got the chance to this summer and so far, this place has been the most helpful yet! The place is very clean, the staff are very helpful and kind and the birds are healthy and happy.

We went in because we are interested in buying a baby macaw and have been visiting shops in the area. Mary had a very cute 8 month old baby Scarlet Macaw at her store. When asked about scarlet, the attendant had a hard time getting it out of the cage. Mary came over and grabbed it. The bird was clearly not interested in coming out. It squawked and shrieked, acting like it was spooked. I was surprised that a "hand-fed" 8-month old was this anti-social or maybe scared. As Mary pulled him out, the bird bit her several times, drawing blood. She grabbed him by the tail and pretty much threw it on the ground. All this while I was standing there! I can only imagine how she treats them when potential customers aren't there. She told me you have to be tough with scarlets when they're in their "terrible twos" -- I guess that's how she justified throwing the bird on the ground. After she picked up the bird, she consoled it and cradled it. I think she just lost her cool. Mary did all the things that experts and books say you shouldn't do. I would not buy any birds from this shop.

I purchase a cockatiel yesterday from them. Sarah was super friendly and helped me picking the right bird and answered all my questions. They also make handmade toys that are awesome. I highly recommend this place

I just want to say that it is nice to walk into a bird store and not feel out of place. About Birds is a family environment. The girls talk about the different personalities of the birds and they also have great prices!! Great Job!!!We will be back!

My husband and I are strong bird enthusiasts, we are always up to visit bird stores around and we found this one on Google recently; About Birds is almost an hour away from our home, but we gave it a look anyway. We have a Sun Conure, a Green Cheek Conure, a Quaker and a Cockatiel, but we agreed on getting another Quaker. Mary welcomed us and brought us to the room where all the parrots are to look at them, and we fell for a 10 year old, rehomed female Quaker. She was extremely sweet and we just wanted to cherish her for the rest of her life. We came back two days ago to get her, and now she is being vocal at home and already love us too much hahaAbout roaches: We didnt see any, and even if there was, its a really common problem in this area. And also, bird owners cant fog their place, so its not something they can do much about so its okay. Just check everytime you buy something.About the store: It is well kept, the bird room is big, they can all see each other and have enough space for themselves (compared to another bird store we went to...). The store has everything you need for your pet parrot.Too bad it is far away from us, but we had a very good experience over there! Thank you
