Received great service from Hamlin for about 8 years, including weekly cleanings and some very nice pool repairs and updates. Lately, however, their technicians don't show up. No call from the techs, no call from the schedulers, no notice and no updates at all. They just don't show up. Now my pool is green with algae. Sad to see a good company with a lot of great people deteriorate like this. Wish them the best and hope they can fix their issues, but reliability is number one with customers. So I'm moving on.

They are con artists. Passing off poor service as normal wear and tear. Saying an O-ring will expand over 1/2 an inch due to heat... I was born at night...but not last night. Fired them today...be wear...

Not too happy. I haven’t gotten a quote so how do you want me to rate you now? I bought this home with the pool which you built in 2007 (I have the contract) the cool deck was uneven due to your workers leaving wood when the cement was poured and that was a huge mistake on your end, yet even though of that horrible mistake I contacted you for a quote to remodel/update design and nothing yet still waiting for your employer to call

To be fair, I have not actually contracted with them. I did call and they're pricey. I was told that they would need a $3k deposit and they would not be able to start until December 2021! And its May. I cannot speak about quality or professionalism. However, I feel comfortable using them versus some fly by night company.

Ask for Adan! The “pool whisperer” was very helpful. I tried to give Hamlin’s smaller competitors a chance, but they either didn’t show up, missed their appointment, or tried to upsell me new equipment over the phone without even looking at my situation. (They shall remain nameless, but most incorporate animal names). Hamlin is apparently the only pro service in the valley.

They had done a great job for 5 years. In short, Father's day and 4th of July celebrations were a flop because the technician did not keep the pool clean. Recently, service has been unsatisfactory. There was a problem with the pump, and the technician did not leave a message with us. He left the pump off and then a service was scheduled 5 days after that. There is mold on the pool surface in the water!

This is the worse company I have ever encounter. They charged me with 125.00 just to send an "inspector" to collect a water sample and did nothing at all, they are very disorganized I called several times and they did not solve the problem, wich was cleaning the pool. I regret calling them . They stole my money literally !!!!

Went today to buy a pool kit and spoke to John. He not only sold me only what I needed he also showed me how to use it step by step. I had horrible experience with Hamlin pools service recently. Their workers Rick and Rudy are very unprofessional and arrogant. They repeatedly cancelled scheduled appointments on me. When I called frontdesk about this, Rudy banged my house door and left. Because of their ignorance, my high end plants died despite repeatedly educating them how to fix spa valve next to plants. Hamlin pool is overpriced for the low level of service they provide. I will reconsider my pool service provider. They need to hire better knowledgeable and customer friendly workers who are atleast willing to listen and learn if they dont know their work.

We have been customers of Hamlin pools for 7 years, since they installed our pool. Seven years ago the service was fabulous, or maybe that was because we spent a HUGE amount of money on this build. When the surface of our pool began to deteriorate, Hamlin suggested an acid wash as a low cost alternative to resurfacing. We paid $800 for this service only to discover that it severely damaged the surface of the pool, to the point that the gunite is crumbling. We were told by Taylor Hamlin that they didn't guarantee this product and would not consider applying the $800 cost of the acid wash to the $11,000 cost of resurfacing the pool with pebble tech. Evidently Hamlin doesn't value our business, so we will take it elsewhere.

They clean pools for fun, because they suck at cleaning it professionally. They will milk you for everything and charge you more than any competitors in the valley. They will come up with excuses on why things can NOT be done to your pool without forking over extra money.Another white family owned business preying on the majority Hispanic community. Just got off the phone with Taylor Hamlin and am very disappointed. I've been waiting over a year for them to come do some work on my pool.They had replastered my pool & then I got rust stains on my pool. I was guaranteed the work. They didn't build my pool 15 years ago. So his excuse is that they didn't go down to the rebar which is false-they did! I was here when they did the replastered get. He wants me to remember a year ago who his employees name was who guaranteed the work. I hired them to do the pool service for me so we wouldn't have any problems for this exact reason.

Excellent and Professional in building pools. Their pool service and/or maintenance is excellent. My pool always looks sparkling clean and spotless. Like I said before , let Hamlin build your pool but make sure to hire an outside team to do your pavers. My pavers continue shifting, But the main issue here , like I have brought up to their attention is : Ever since Hamlin built my pool and installed pavers, my patio over floods every time it rains. I had never encountered that issue before, until they installled the pavers and buried my drain I previously had. Not to mention the alternative they offered me for the water escape didn't work. It's going on three years that i constantly have to be sweeping the water out of the patio everytime it rains. i have addressed this problem to Hamlin to no avail. Pavers Foreman says they will talk to Hamlin and Hamlin throws it back , saying they will talk to the Pavers People and come up with a solution.

This review is related to our recent pool remodel by Hamlin Pools for our preexisting, “other company-built” pool. Hamlin began the rebuild in February 2020 and finished in April, completing the job within the anticipated timeline. From our first meeting with Taylor Hamlin in January, until May (including the one month of included Hamlin Pool Care) our experience with every Hamlin employee was amazing. Everyone was courteous, attentive to every detail, and respectful to our family members and property.During demolition, the crew worked diligently to carefully expose the concrete shell of the pool. They meticulously demo’ed the pool decking without disturbing the piping underneath. They carried all of the debris out by hand and cleaned up our backyard everyday.The remodel crew built our new water feature, installed the new Paramount PV3 in-floor cleaning heads, and amazing Paramount skimmers (more about that). Hamlin’s tile crew was very detail-oriented during the installation of the waterline tile and the Travertine coping. The necessary plumbing modifications were completed and the entire system was pressure tested. The remainder of the Travertine decking was installed in two days.On PebbleTec day, the crew arrived early and did not stop moving until the new surface was perfect; 8 hours later! Hamlin’s dedicated plaster/PebbleTec truck and trailer, and the infrastructure they arrived with were very impressive.All-in-all, our experience with Hamlin Pools and Taylor Hamlin were exceptional. They were pleasant to work with and provided us with the reassurance that the job would be done right! Taylor taught us how to get the most benefit out of our in-floor cleaning system and his recommendation of new skimmers has effectively slashed in half the amount of time I spend cleaning the pool. The extra-deep Paramount skimmers with mesh inserts in the baskets, have prevented fine debris from making it to the filter, thus lengthening the time between filter backwashes.When considering a new pool or remodel, you may find other pool contractors in the RGV offering a lower price or “more amenities”; we considered some of those other builders. However, it was Taylor’s knowledge of pool construction and commitment to the RGV that made picking Hamlin Pools an easy choice. Called 3 times trying to get info on building a pool. Talked to Josh briefly but he never called back with info. They must have plenty of business. I. called another company, they went to work. These guys act like they didnt care.
