I take my girl, Lilah, to Stephanie at the Paw Tender for her haircuts. I just have to start by saying that Lilah can be quite a handful, so I greatly appreciate anyone who can handle her with ease. And Stephanie definitely fits the bill! Every time I pick Lilah up from her, she is in such a happy and clean state, not to mention sporting an amazing haircut.But here's what sets Stephanie apart from other groomers - she truly takes the time to get to know your dog and understand what kind of haircut you want for them. It's like she forms a special bond with each furry client.During this last visit in October, Stephanie even arranged a Halloween photoshoot for Lilah! I can't decide if I'm more blown away by the grooming or the photography, because both are absolutely amazing. 10/10!!

This was my first-time bringing the chihuahua babies. 2 were ones I was babysitting and 1was mine. She didn't give me a hard time because they weren't mine. I'm high anxiety and she was fantastic from the get go. You call ahead make the appointment..then you call when you arrive and they tell you when to come in. When they are done you get a text for pickup. I dropped 3 babies off at 10 am and they were done by 1pm. I will be bringing them back. I read the bad reviews and didn't see any of what they were talking about. Mind you I didn't reads until just now.

Fantastic experience!! My dog had some issues with his skin and hair and Stephanie thoughtfully addressed. He had to get a cut shorter than we originally requested, but Stephanie called - went over it with us and gave options. We went with the shorter cut and he still looks adorable! Highly recommend.

I meant to write this review a couple weeks ago when I first met Stephanie and took my sweet Shih Tzu, Toby, to her for the first time. Stephanie is very kind and had all necessary protocols in place for the current pandemic situation (the Delta was going crazy then). She also listened to the type of cut I would prefer... all that regular 'beginning' stuff that you get with a great groomer. However, I realized that I truly 'found' my preferred groomer when I went back to pick Toby up - he wasn't stressed and he looked beautiful, and so soft. For years I had been taking Toby to one of those large pet grooming places in the area (won't name) and just thought that all that stress was just normal, well it isn't. Additionally, even though I paid for the 'premium' service, Toby's hair had never been soft - I actually thought that was just normal with age (it isn't). Not only that, Toby would also normally come home from a grooming appointment so drained that he would just sleep all day and be kind of sad acting - again, I thought that was normal... well, when I brought Toby home from Paw Tender, he was so funny - ran around with my Basset Hound and had a great time, acted all feisty and happy, too! It was such a happy change and embedded my absolute hands down high recommendation for Stephanie and her grooming! She is truly amazing.

My mom was very happy with the service and treatment of her little baby (she loves that dog lol) and I was very pleased with the customer service, everything was thoroughly explained before dropping him off.Dog looked amazing.She even had a small photo shoot with him and sent us the pics!Will definitely keep going back.

Love this place! I’ve been taking my dog here for years and always have been happy with the results. Recently they’ve started doing ‘glamour shots’ after grooming to match the season; so cute! Most importantly my dog seems to be happy upon arriving each time and never shows fear. Local and family owned/operated.

Great place to take your pet for grooming. The owner is so gentle with your pet. She genuinely cares about your animals and their well-being. My Corgi loves the attention, here she's a Star! She leave me at the door when we come in...walks around visiting with all the other dogs she kinda bossy like that..then takes her place in the grooming line.😀 Her groomer Stephaine makes her feel special...She's a Great photographer and my girl never leaves without a few pictures... Stephanie was amazing with my shih tzu! She took her time to make trix feel comfortable with her & really paid attention to her needs & got all of the mats out from her paws & tail. I would highly recommend! She loves the pets like theyre her own ❤️

I've been taking my fur-baby, Heidi, to Paw Tender for almost 2 years now. She is a very shy and timid dog , as she was a rescue with a past in neglect and abuse; however, Heidi isn't worried abut going to Paw Tenders. Sherry and the staff love on her just like I would and it really eases Heidi's anxiety into feeling safe and loved. On one of her first visits, they told me they couldn't complete the hair cut around her face because she was afraid and they didn't want to make it a negative experience. Over the next few grooming they worked with her until she is no longer worried about being groomed. If that's not care for your dogs, I don't know what is. This is the ONLY place I will bring my dog. They are amazing.

I wouldn't take my pets any place else after experiencing the care and professionalism at Pawtender. I've been all over Austin, and P-Ville, no one comes close. I highly recommend this establishment, the owner very obviously has a special connection with animals, and it shows in my dogs. I know they are comfortable here too.

First time: I saw good reviews, prices are cheap for a quick nail trim, and right down the street. It was fine.Second Attempt: We stopped by during when we thought they’d be open but door was locked. Called and left message for appt and call was never returned.Third Attempt: I called the day before to make nail appt but they said no need, just come between 10-3. They had already left around 2. She didn’t apologize just said they just leave when the last dog leaves. **Well, they work when they feel like it.**Of course this makes me ask, if I can’t make an appointment but there’s no guarantee anyone will be there if I show up...Her suggestion was to call before I head over the same day to make sure they’re still there. I’d much rather support another local business that actually seems to care at all.

These people were racist. We took our dogs to them and they were sick and they called animal control and then completely disrespected us when we went to pick up the dogs!!!!!! Plus they didn't wash our dogs after having them all day. If you are a person of color that desires to be treated with respect don't take your dog here! Please take my word for it. Worst experience of my life.

Been taking my miniature Schnauzer for about almost 2 years and I must say that I am very pleased. Although make sure you call way ahead of time because they get booked really fast.

If I could give this establishment negative stars I would the staff was unprofessional and rude. Blamed my poor little Yorkie when their respective skillset was lacking if you love your dog dont bringthem they're. Dropped my dog off at 8 am and still not ready to wrl past 3 pm.
