Yesterday I took my new puppy for a haircut. He is a show dog bare faced yorkie who I paid 4.5k for, and I am very particular with his haircut for a reason. Upon entering the store I advised of very specific instructions which were also placed on the document for the groomer. Instructions to be followed: Do not cut face. do not cut body. trim the legs. Face is to be grown out” simple right?upon giving these instructions, the groomer (CINDY) tells me SHE doesn’t like that idea. SHE doesn’t think it will look right. who are you to have an opinion on a dog you did not spend $1 on? We are not friends or even associates. Just follow directive. She then proceeds to argue with me over MY dogs haircut that I am paying for- on and on about how she doesn’t think it’ll look right and she doesn’t like the idea. This is never your place. After her argumentative rant, she then proceeds to laugh, take my dog to the back, and butcher his haircut .. on purpose obviously. Below are before and after photos of his haircut. The haircut was so bad and not one directive was followed I proceeded to request the manager (JOEY) who was not only rude and disrespectful, but did not want to hear me out. After several back and forths with joey who stated “I don’t wanna talk to you” (great management skills) then proceeds to tell me I am banned from the grooming station…..Please tell me, why would I bring my dog back? That is a given. I would never come back. I planned on literally never giving you people my money again. Use your brain smart one.He looks like a chihuahua now. He looks choppy and terrible. even he is upset look at his face! cindy you are a terrible groomer. He now cannot compete for months to follow until his fur comes back. I do NOT recommend this location to anyone. And if it’s your only location, just find a personal groomer as the staff simply cannot follow directive & the manager will not hold them accountable. I would show the form where the host placed specific directions about his haircut needed, but joey kept the form.

If you have a doodle do not go to Petco! I dropped off a cute little doodle and picked up a rat! We said we would like the legs cut down and the body trimmed! If his hair were any shorter he would be bald. It’s very patchy all the way around and when speaking to the groomer they said he didn’t like his legs touched. This more than the legs. I will say that the guy that works in there is so kind and Helpful but the grooming department needs help. Another huge issue with petco is they required us pay the $125 before we saw the product. Absolutely pitiful job. I attached a before and after picture for reference.

I walked in for nail trim and buff. I didn't have to wait long and they were done quickly. And, they did a great job. My dog's nails look great! I haven't had the best of luck at other locations but the Stone Hill location always does a great job.

Saskia (spelling! :( sorry) is amazing. Galveston loves going to PetCo and they do an awesome job every time.They are attentive and responsive and our big guy takes a lot of attention and they don’t bat an eye.

I took my dog to another location today to get groomed. I told them what I was needing, no problem. Come to find out, what I was asking for wasn’t the right thing. I only told them what I got at this location because the employees here told me that the full haircut was not what I needed and recommended another package that apparently was what I needed and cheaper. The location I went to today told me that should not have been told to me, and upon further talking to the staff at the other location, it was revealed that other customers have had the same issue with this particular location. I would strongly advise against taking your pet to this location for grooming.

It was ok. Took my dog to get groomed and he came home with half his face not groomed and the other side groomed. Body was kind of choppy. I was that impressed for his first visit. He is a small dog and to pay 80 dollars for half groomed dog...wasn't happy.

Ruby’s groomer Saskia is great! Always does a wonderful job. Couldn’t give 5 stars because of other issues. The service signing in and out is a little slow if ANYONE is there besides you and I don’t like how you have to pay before they bring you your dog. But we will keep coming back because of her amazing groomer. Side note — will not ever bring our other dog (Rocco) back because his groomer at a different Petco decided to ban him from ever having his nails cut there. Rocco is almost two and has been to other groomers and never had an issue — we tried Petco because they were slightly cheaper and I wasn’t loving his haircuts before. Now I can never bring Rocco back though, due to a one-time encounter with a moody groomer. He is a SHIH-TZU and has been banned from ever having nail trims at any Petco. Ridiculous.

Had an appointment for my dog scheduled online for grooming. Online requirements said no sedated dogs were allowed. No other mention of other medication requirements. Got to store and was received and sign in by a guy at the desk. Last question he asked- is you dog on any medication? Yes, she has a low thyroid condition. She is on thyroid tablet. He had to talk to the groomers manager. I was told I needed proof of a vet prescription for the meds even though my dog has been groomed there before. Never required before. I said it’s not required on the website why now? Manager said Petco corporate said it had to be refused, but didn’t provide them with a list of medications. They had to refuse us due to meds, so they refuse ALL animals on medication without proof from a vet! She told me She made the decision to refuse all animals on meds. I was shocked! I will no longer be shopping at this store for our four cats and one dog! If medication documentation is required why no DOCUMENT it for the customer? Inform the customer. Done with Petco!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Do NOT go Here for your dogs grooming needs! The girl at check out was also very rude I was standing in line while she stood down looking at her phone ( I assumed she was taking care of a customers order) after a while her coworker comes out because there is a line and she told me " why didnt you tell me you were in line?" like WHAT? Lol

Thank you, Cindy did a great job!! This is the best haircut hes gotten so far and he smells very fresh and clean. The staff where very friendly and got me in a short notice! Will be coming back for sure:)

Although the desk to reception at groomer services is in the entrance and kinda in an awkward area small and open(when dogs are already excited/nervous). But, the groomers and receptionists make up for it 110% they are patient and have great energy to receive the dogs.I would like to thank the receptionist especially for keeping her cool when my dogs visited, one of them tried to jump the counter (hyper/friendly). And there were a-lot of toddlers and one dog who was aggressive. And although there was a-lot going on she helped make the process smooth. She deserves some kind of bonus or raise bc when I returned to pick them up there was still alot going on she helped new furr parents who brought their whole family and had lots of questions and still maintained her cool and patience with me, all while having crying puppies, aggressive dog and the service she gave was still 110% at the end of work day.The haircut was great, my doggies are hairy and shed like crazy and thats a-lot of work. I greatly appreciate it because they looked less wild and floofy but were also so happy which gives me peace of mind to return here. I will be coming back!

(Before and after photos)I took my pup for grooming for the first time there, I specifically asked for a trim, the groomer was concerned about the coat being too short since it’s winter, and I had trusted her to use her judgement. I even showed her what number to use on the board she pulled out of the drawer. A few hours and $60 later, I pick up an uneven shaved pup. I was so mortified and upset, I couldn’t even speak. My pup is a long hair mix, so to see him completely shaved was not pleasant. The more I inspected him, I found patches on his back where the fur was just buzzed off. His tail is the only thing that has long hair on it, so my poor pup looks terrible. He’s not a poodle. The bottom of his paws looked raw as well. It’s unfortunate to experience this on your first visit.

I loved my dog Shai’s cut this time. The person put a “hair” ball at the end of her tail. I really liked it because it hides the bobbed tail look. My only request is to not put rubber bands on her ears, I always have to cut them off with hair to get them out. Now her ears look funny.

Cassidy greater us and was so warm and welcoming to Biscuit. It was his first official bath at a grooming center. Cassidy was kind and comforting about the experience. She let me know why kind of shampoo they use and when he would be ready.

Everything was great. She smelled amazing, but she did have a small area on her leg that looked as if it was cut to low or she was accidently cut. Overall is was a good experience. We'll be coming back.

I specifically ALWAYS request for Shadows hair on her head to be left long because she likes to shake her head to look bigger than she is. Not only did they chop her hair on head but it looks like a butchered cut all over and is shorter than I wanted. Her nails were supposed to be ground down but they are super sharp which leads me to think they did not cut them or if they did they used a clippers. Also, the price was much higher than what I was quoted online. The groomer I normally use COMES TO MY HOME and charges me $65 and does a much better job. I have NEVER paid $80 to groom my pomeranian and especially for such a terrible hair cut!

I take my dog here for grooming. They never answer their phones which makes it frustrating when trying to schedule an appointment . However they usually get me in on short notice. About the only reason I keep going back. They do a good job usually with the grooming.

Petco did a great job with grooming my Goldendoodle! He was there for 5 hours and looked fabulous when we picked him up. I would highly recommend using their grooming service as they are very professional and courteous!

The Pflugerville grooming team goes above and beyond for me each time I come in. I have two very large, whiny dogs (Ares & Athena) that hate their nails being trimmed. Each time, the team reassures both me and my XL pets that it will be fine. Communication is always great as well. I came here after a co-worker recommended their services. I will also now happily refer others here. Thank you!

Toni (and everyone else) is amazingly friendly & super knowledgeable about the grooming process. Chance is a rescue we'd only had for a couple weeks and they all made him (and me!) feel super comfortable! From price to timeline, our expectations were set out for us and met completely.

The groomer was great and did a very good job on bathing and additional services. Knew how to handle the dogs and was confident and provided comments about each of them when I picked them up. The cost is fairly high, next time I may go to a location where I can bathe the dog but use your baths to save $. 2 dogs and with a tip was $100......can't do that too often.

The girl who did our dog's nail trim was very good getting our dog to sit still. That's why we take him in because he won't let us do his nails. She was very nice and did a great job on our dogs nails.

I have an elderly dog whose nails are difficult to cut. They did a great job without bending his knees Or causing him pain. He was even able to walk the next day. I’m so happy that they do such a great job

I love taking my dog there but the lady that checked us out was rude. I also over heard her on the phone and I didn’t like her tone with that customer either. I think she should learn to be more polite. Thank you for your time.

My roommate and I have had our Aussies groomed here several times. The groomers do a wonderful job and are very professional and patient both with the clients and the pets. This is my go-to grooming facility.
