We had an appointment for our dog Cooper set for at least 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived the groomer, not a vet, make a diagnosis that she was not qualified to do, and refusing to groom. I escalated to the 2 year manager and she was just as incompetent. I created a complaint with Petco corporate office and was told I would receive a call back within 48 hours. It's now been 5 days without a reply. the complaint case number is 08715689. The groomer, not a vet, and the 2 year manager offered no guidelines as to why a dog would be refused service, but rather just a hunch because he had some thinning hair. We've been going to this store for approximately 10 years but they seem to have new personnel with very poor customer service skills... obviously, this is a reflection of their management's skills. Very unprofessional, even for a dog cutter. I await the corporate response. Should be a weak one.

Came into this Petco to grab a couple things. I saw an item that I wanted to know if they had in stock in a different size different color. I had the sku/ barcodes to ask her for both sizes in different colors and Mercy at the register, refused to provide service and see what they had in stock. This just seems really lazy, like I was an inconvenience to her!I’ve come to this Petco many times and they have been able to check their inventory to see if they actually had certain items in stock.Also the few times that I have walked into this Petco within the last 2 months Mercy( older lady with short hair) has been at the register, and she’s usually very unpleasant never smiles, barely greets!In this very last instance, cause I told her it was lazy of her not to help and she asked if I wanted a manager. NO not at that point! I did not want to speak with a manager! That’s a solution she could have provided before when I was asking for customer service!I did not have the time or the patience at that moment!She’s a representative of this store, and she has always provided poor service!

Nice place took my dog there for the first time they did what I asked. My dog is little I have to carry him in, because there will be big dogs standing at the door waiting to go into the grooming department. It’s too close to the door the clinic side is nice because they have it set up where the dogs don’t interfere with customers coming and going. If they would redesign it a little bit different, it may feel safer to come in.

Horrible manager! Horrible service! Horrible attitude!I forgot my dog prescription and I’m there every week! He Could simply look up my name and confirm I buy food ALL the time!He simply said I can’t and explained it’s “LIKE SELLING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR!” What?!?!?!?I’ve bought this food in the past without a prescription as a previous employee in a different location was kind enough to look up our name and see we buy this weekly. Unfortunately, this prescription is in paper and we cannot load it on to our app otherwise we would definitely do so to alíviate these headaches.

I’ve come here many times while getting my new hamster home set up and I always run into the same person Val. They are so helpful and sweet and never missed a beat with filling me in on the new hamster stuff that came in! They are always in such a good mood and it’s a breath of fresh air. Val if you’re reading this thank you for making my experience at Petco a good one!!!

One of my favorite places to shop for anything for my fur babies! Incredible staff! I haven’t met someone in the past decade who was unpleasant. They have a wide variety of grain free treats and dog food. Highly passionate about helping me learn more about all the animals I care for. They even give extra love to my pups when we walk-in which is a huge deal for me because so many people are afraid of my dogs simply because they are pit bull breed.

I brought my long haired, large dog to get groomed here a few months ago. The people at the front desk were amazing as well as the vet techs who vaccinated him a couple weeks prior to his grooming.The grooming done on my dog was decent but I will not ever be returning due to him apparently not receiving water the entire time he was there. My dog overheats easily and was panting/drooling furiously on the way home, and drank 3 full bowls of water when we got home.Also at the end of the appointment I was lectured by the groomer for my dog not standing still during grooming. My dog is 1.5 years old and still has a lot of puppy energy, but is extremely friendly to people and other dogs. I did not appreciate being rudely lectured like I don’t know my own dog, especially after paying hundreds of dollars between the grooming and vaccination. Some peanut butter or cheese as distraction would’ve done the trick to keep him still.

I took my dog in for a nail clipping. They did a great job with her nails, ears and teeth. They even gave her a quick brushing. I will definitely take her back there. They were friendly and I could see how much they loved the dogs.

Amy in the fish department is so wonderful and sweet very knowledgeable in her department gave me tips answered all my questions. Amy truly cares about her fishes. She also helped me with picking out plants and getting that started

So initially impressed, as two people asked if they could help us and to let them know if we need help. However it was 1 in the afternoon and the isles arent very wide and they are moving large things around. We wanted to look at dog beds ..but I couldn't get back there. They were setting something up on one side of the isle and I moved to get out of the way of a pallet they were moving. The lady setting up said "I'll move the pallet when you are ready" like..I moved thinking I moved out of the way. Only for them to further block that isle off with the pallet and then proceed to unpack things in the other isle to the dog beds so I had no way back there. It was annoying. Get to checkout and the cart we used was a packing cart I guess..anyway she was quite rude about it. We had a line behind us so we pushed it with our things forward to get away from the register when another lady said "yeah that can't leave so I'll take it"...we weren't taking it. Anyway I spent $100 there and wish I hadn't spent a dime.

Lady behind the registered seemed really bothered when I asked for a product I found online. Then led me to something else entirely. When I pointed out that it was the wrong product she shrugged and said "then we're out" and walked away. Another lady was feeding the ferrets and was very friendly though. Seems they may need to do some clean up with their staff.

This is the main petco I vist for basic needs for my animals. I have a zoo basically, dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizard, mice, more fish lol. The only couple complaints I have are the prices are going up on everything at least once a month and all petcos across the US are removing or lowering benefits for vital care. They are trying to cut costs anyway they can. The employees though are extremely helpful at this location that's why this one is the main store I go to.

Our dog had teeth infection and we visited a vet at this location. He wanted to charge us 1200 dollars to pull the teeth out. We didn’t agree and he ended up charging $80+ for doing nothing. Visited another vet, and he said our dog’s teeth is just fine. Charged $25 for anti-bacteria drop and our dog recovered after 5 days. These people would say anything to just charge you more money, and they don’t care about your pet at all. Just terrible.

My very pregnant daughterscheduled a groom visit it was rescheduled twice in two months because of the groomers own issues and a power outage. Fine, stuff happens. She showed showed up with this anxiety ridden dog. Only to be told that the dogs rabbies vaccine was expired. The second vaccine was only given 11 months prior and rabies vaccine is good for 3 years according to our vet and Texas laws. The groomer was rude and wouldn't listen to my daughter. She literallyshows her he dates on the shot records. The groomer just keeps arguing further upsetting everyone including the already irritated dog. Rude and unprofessional. Never again.

It was our first grooming experience for my adopted pups. The receptionist was very helpful and explained how the services were going to be handled. It was a great experience for both the pups and for me. Rita(left) and Coco(right) came out buffed and puffed and happy pups. Thank you Petco, Pflugerville.

The puppy training classes with Carolyne have been amazing and I will be continuing with more. It’s a group class, but you get plenty of time to discuss one on one issues. I highly recommend the training classes!

This has been by the the most terrible grooming experience our dog and we have experienced. We had a grooming appointment at 12pm. We have a small mini Berne doodle who was just getting a bath , a trim and nails clipped. Nothing special. After 3 and half hours had passed we felt kind of strange that no one called us so we decided to stop by the store around 3:30pm. Sometimes cell signal can be shoddy in my area so I didn’t think it was a big deal to walk in the store and ask for a status of our dog was done or close to being done. Upon asking if our dog was close to being done we were told rudely that “we will call you when we are done”. They seemed agitated and annoyed because we stopped by to check on our dog. They informed us that it can take anytime between 5-6 hours to groom our dog. Finally we got call at 5:30pm that our dog was ready for pick up. Our dog had no access to water or potty break in between. They took ridiculous amount of time to do a simple bath, trim and nail clipping. On top of all this the quality of cut my dog received was really bad. Hair on her ear were uneven. She didn’t even look like she went for grooming.🚨 Here’s the worst part 🚨 They trimmed soooo close to her bum area that it irritated her skin and now she is in such discomfort. You can even see in the picture that there is dry blood. Poor girl has been in pain ever since she got back from her grooming. I don’t know what kind of professionals they have working in there but this is the first time my dog has had something like this. Anyone with common sense would not be rough like this around sensitive skin area. I will never go back to this location for grooming our dog and neither will I recommend anyone to take their fur bear to this location for grooming. Petco, do better.

Picked up cat food from the shelf. Waited in line 20 minutes then they tell me it is prescription only. I pulled up the prescription on my phone and they say it has to be from their veterinarian only. Why leave it on the shelf without advertising that it’s prescription only? Why not accept prescriptions from other veterinarians?

Val helped us at the cash register and they were super helpful and kind. We didn't catch his name but the manager(?) helped us catch the hardest to catch fish right before they were supposed to close. Super kind and helpful. Great experience much appreciated go to dis Petco :)

I was very disappointed in the tiny kennels you keep cats in. For a company that is about the well-being of animals, this is ridiculous! And no proper space for a meet is completely irresponsible and unsafe. Its disappointing this is a newly remodeled store and animals were not considered to be comfortable while waiting for a forever home. DO BETTER FOR THE CATS and other animals in your care. Try spending a fraction of your billions in proper habitats.

Really great experience. Our dog got a little too excited at the store and was barking nonstop.Carolyne one of the dog trainers approached us and offered to help calm him down and gave him a some treats and took him to a quieter area in the store so he could fully calm down. Easily one of best Petco experience I’ve had.

There was very little selection of collars, and the cashier was snippy. I was very unhappy to see the popup about a Petco credit card on the credit card box. I hate that it pops up every time I make a move on the website, and having it on the payment box was really bad. I'm honestly about to quit Petco over it.

We recently moved to Austin and needed to groom our Golden doodle. He is 5 years old and we always trim his hair short. He always ends up looking beautiful but they did such a terrible job. We normally paid $85 at other places but they charged 140 to do the same things and did the worse job. So disappointed. They literally shaved only some parts.

I came on Halloween for a betta fish as my store didn't have a very wide variety and I was pleasantly surprised that all the bettas at this store seemed to be pretty healthy. One or two seemed to have swim bladder but when you have so many betta in such small cups it's bound to happen to a few. Didnt see any cloudy water or upturned fish which in my experience is a far to common sight when it comes to petstores. The people who work here seem to really care about keeping the animals they sell healthy and happy. One lady had shown me and my boyfriend two tortoise that were on sale for not having been sold in a while. She proceeded to pick both tortoises up and give them pets and they seemed so comfortable! They stretched out their little legs and necks and it was adorable. It was really nice to see/hear that they had been interacting with these animals, getting them used to human contact so they're more friendly when they go to their forever home. I will have to come back to look at their rodents some time!Photo of the lovely little guy I ended up taking home 😊
