Usually food is expired there if its not popular. Ive gotten sick once or twice from refrigerated goods. My dog recently recovered from being violently ill from 2 yr old treats. I should have checked the expiration dates but i you should be able to have faith in the staff being able to keep diligence on all ends when it comes to all consumer goods!Another issue is that they NEVER have 2 registers open unless someone complains. Usually its not so busy but when it is the managment should help out instead of hiding in the back.Nice staff and very friendly. But the food is sometimes a gamble...

This is the DG I use when I am in Pecos. Today it was well stocked, reasonably organized and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. They had two people working check out, which was good for the amount of customers.I noticed sneeze guards in place and store employees were observing normal precautions.

I love this dollar general, especially since they remodeled. The store carries a decent amount of grocery items, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I like to go here more than our local grocery and busy Walmart to get basics- and it saves money too!

Parking lot was trashy. Then walked into the store and felt like I was in a different country. Tejano music BLARING so loud I couldn’t even finish my conversation on the phone. Aisles are impassable with items just strung everywhere. I started looking in the to be stacked items laying around in the carts to find what I needed since the shelves weren’t filled. By far the worse dollar general I have ever been too. Suggest never visiting this store ever.

This is another store that's pretty much ransacked Everyday by people and pickles it's so packed difficult to get anything you need from Pecos. The older woman that works there is pretty much doing the best you can with what she gots. Even though there's usually a very long line she keeps her head down and does her best to give you the best customer service and possibly give you her attitude is actually pretty good for the chaos that's going on in that store. I'm speaking from personal experience I have work in Dollar General and know that when there's usually a very long line the open up another cashiers during that would seem to be the problem there is they would refuse to open the second cash register. I think I found more items to buy in Dollar General that I have found in Walmart. I gave it three Stars I mean it's trying its best but can definitely improve if employees would actually help their manager and hustle.

Honestly its nice here! It may be small but its filled with so many things, great service and parking. Great services, great furniture, food, toys, needs, etc. The store also looks nice, it doesnt look organized but it does at the same time since each item is by another item with the same category. It also seems a little cramped but thats only because its a small store with tons of items, the items are really useful, its great that such a small store can fit soooo many items! If your looking for a small store with tons of items this is the place to be! You'll find anything you want/need here! The service is also nice so if your looking for great service this is the place to be! Although it may not have some specific items your looking for, like specific toys, they dont have many of that but its okay, there are other toys to choose from. If you actually want a good store with good service then this is the place you need to be! This is honestly an amazing place that i'll be looking forward to in the future! Will be shopping back here soon!

I have never walked into a Dollar General and had the employees be so rude. I could say well they were having a bad day but to have 2 employees be rude? The chance is slim to none on just a bad day for both. The store is so disorganized and a mess, as well.

Horrible customer service. 3 workers in the store. Only one check out open... a line going all the way back to the store and 2 other workers not doing a damn thing. It's pure convenience to go there. If I had somewhere else I would never shop there again! Every. Single. Time it's like that. Horrible management if you ask me!

I work here. And though it can be difficult keeping up with everything with all the customers and such, I shop there and find the experience to be mostly pleasing. Much better than shopping at the Walmart in town.

Lady checking me out had a pair of latex gloves for her protection, but transferred someone else's germs onto my items. Gloves need to be disposed after each customer.

We stopped by to pick up some shorts for our smaller friend, some of us looked for playing cards and the employees weren't positive if they carries them. Well, we found shorts for our friend, but fell short looking for playing cards. There was only one register open at the time and was backed up about 10 minutes.

Most Dollar General stores are supplied with products but here being in high demand with town population store runs out of certain items and more or less there is no back stock. Good luck in your shopping.

Dollar general is the lifeline of a traveling man. I spend 10 months a year on the road and no matter where I'm at the DG IS FOR ME! Everything one may need from drinks,snacks, toiletries to lunch supplies. This particular DG is country small but essential in a great location.

Small store overwhelmed by oil boom. They are trying hard, but many of the shelves are empty because they just can't keep up with demand. No different than the other stores in Pecos.
