So amazing! I called at 4pm on a Friday just to shoot my shot, because my lab was showing signs of having a bad ear infection. Completely expecting for them to say I needed to come in on Monday which would be understandable. They gladly took me in last minute and it was the best experience. Above and beyond! I took my dog Eve in for a Parvo test and treatment. I gotta say I was very happy about going here. This morning and the previous day Eve refused to eat play walk or anything, after the treatment today I’m very shocked at how fast she’s shaking this parvo off. She’s running jumping on furniture drinking on her own. I was hesitant when feeding her cause at first she wouldn’t eat at all about 2 hours ago she at a full meal of chicken and rice and kept it down. Thank you so much to the staff here at Pearsall Veterinary hospital. I didn’t have the money to pay the 242 for treatment so they worked with me and helped me lower the price. You guys have no idea how much this meant to me and my pup. On top of all this the staff here was very Attentive and polite and very gentle with my girl

Prices are high compared to others. They cannot give basic cost estimates over the phone, plus or minus $1000 for surgery would be ok but unclear over the phone. In the past, the vet is not very friendly, not even a "how are you doing"

ABSOLUTELY do NOT take your pet here if you want to be treated with respect and if your pet has any fears or nervousness. The younger girls that work there have ZERO customer service skills and there is NO time taken to sooth your pets nerves before doing invasive exams. I used them for a year and a half, and used to be happy with them, but NO MORE!

My daughter tried to take her dog to them today Friday at 8 am and nobody was there, we are all worried about her dog, he needed to see the vet as soon as possible but on a day they are supposed to be open there was nobody there. Don’t want to take the dogs there anymore.

Completely disappointed in this vet clinic. I know most people in Pearsall are low income so saving money on their pet prescriptions would be beneficial. My parents asked me to order their dog a medication that I normally get for my dog through 1800petmeds. They said it was getting too expensive purchasing it monthly with the vet. My vet in San Antonio approves it (and any other medication) for my dog through 1800petmeds and it saves me money each time. This vet clinic in Pearsall would not send in the necessary paperwork for my parents to get routine preventative medication. They said the only medication they offer is what we are willing to purchase directly from them. My parents couldn't even go in for a prescription to pick up. I don't understand how hard it is to write one out, fax one in, or call it in. If they really care about animals, they wouldn't care where the medication is coming from so long as the animal has what it needs. I have never received such horrible customer service from a vet clinic. I hope things change out there. I will definitely be helping my elderly parents take their dog to another clinic from now on.

I attempted to order the medication my mothers pets get online, it was more affordable and they could really use the money elsewhere. I couldn't do this because this vet wouldn't approve the order, which is required since it's a prescription which the pets have gotten many years now. Basically they told me they wont' approve any online orders because, "they sell it there at the office." Or in other words they care more about getting the money than the pets having what they need even if it's too expensive. I found a way around the issue, so jokes on them but I still wouldn't recommend a veterinary that cares more about the bottom line than the pets health. Unfortunately for the people that live there it's basically the only option unless they travel. Really sad!

My adorable 6 year Toby is my male shizu dog was so sick from his right eye I assumed an infection. Dr immediately put Toby under so he can properly identifie what was wrong with his eye and I'm so greatful of his findings my Toby had two strands of loose hay lodged in his eye Dr described it like the two strands of hay lodged in a full circle in his eye and for the 42 year's of being an a veterinary he had never seen that. He also advised me that it had to have been so painful for Toby to have gone thru this in the eye! Its been about a week plus and my Toby is doing so much better I'm so greatful the Doctor and his assistant was so kind to my Toby! I want to thank the staff at Pearsall VeterinaryGod bless you for loving animal's of all kind!

The doctor skip is rude didn't even examine my puppy that was there for a snake bite just gave him the vaccines and said to "bring him back if he don't die" didn't clean the bite or even look at it. My husband was in the room and this guy didn't acknowledge him once not even when he bumped into him he's rude and mean and doesn't care about the animals.
