Went into Family Dollar & was pleasantly greeted. I always find what I'm looking for & more. The cashier was very courteous as we checked out.

This evening I went shopping with my 2 children an infant and toddler. My toddler needed to go to the bathroom. The VERY RUDE employee Ana Gutierrez proceeded to tell me they were out of order. I continued shopping, my kids were fussy and one wouldn’t stop about using the restroom so I decided to leave the store. I grabbed my belongings and my children. As I’m walking out the security beeper went off. The once again rude employee that had about 5 people in line told me to put everything on the floor (including my infant which I’m holding) I check my children to make sure they didn’t have anything in their hands. They did not. She tells me to pull everything out of my bag and place it on the floor. I do as she says, there is nothing. I flip through my coupon binder and there is nothing I can find. She continues to tell me it doesn’t beep for no reason. I have a whole crowd of people watching me on the floor trying to find why it’s beeping. I try to walk through the security again and it beeps. I give her my binder and she finally found a small mascara which I’m assuming my child threw in there while I was flipping for coupons. She grabs the mascara and says I should call the cops. I proceed to tell her it was an accident and to call the cops because I wasn’t intentionally trying to steal anything. This was the most embarrassing and mortifying situation I have experienced at a retail store. I understand people do intentionally steal items and it’s their job to prevent that but she handled the situation in a totally unprofessional way!!! I will never step foot in another family dollar and I will make certain my friends and family know of the situation. With small children accidents happen and this was a total accident. My toddler is of age to understand things like this so I had to then explain to him it was an accident and things happen. The way she handled the situation was so uncalled for, she could have asked me to step aside and find the item because I was being 100 percent cooperative. She could have let me take my children to sit somewhere while she searched me and not on the dirty floor. I hope this woman WILL BE FIRED for treating a customer this way. Corporate is closed but I will be calling in the morning. SHAME ON YOU ANA GUITIEREZ. Hope you are never treated how you treated a tired mother that just wanted to get her child to a restroom.

I have spent hundreds of dollars at this store, because my options in this small town are limited. So when they refused to exchange a pair of 5$ shorts because I didn't have a recipt they just lost my business. Happy to give it to someone else.

I went in the store this morning and bought some bowls and spoons and two bags of balloons for my kids ..as I walked to the door the door started to beep um I have only what's in my bag so I handed it back to her as she was walking around the counter I was looking at the things they had on the counter....she puts the bag by the door and it didn't beep okay so I walk in it and it doesn't beep.....she goes on to try and say I tried to STEAL lipstick that was on the counter FIRST AND FOR MOST I'm 28 yrs old I have never wore lipstick are you kidding me and when I said no I didn't she gave me the dirtiest look I immediately left the store and tried contacting the store for the manager no answer the two female employees wrote down my license plate and kept watchin me and my children FIRST TIME IN PEARSALL AND FIRST TIME IN THAT STORE I WILL NEVER EVER BRING MY BUISNESS THERE AGAIN
