I absolutely LOVE the canine trainer, NIKI. She is wonderful with the dogs (and puppy parents.) She knows how to convince dogs to perform their commands, while making sure all the pups are as calm and socialized as can be. She offers suggestions when things are not 'clicking' for the dogs, and has a real-life perspective on training. I drive here from Bellaire and it's worth the weekly trip.

This is the local pet store I visit to buy dog food and get my dog Buddy's nails trimmed and grounded. I also will buy him a treat here when I bring him. The store is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and personable, and cannot praise the grooming department highly enough! There are sections for all sorts of household pets: cats, dogs, fish, small mammals (hamster, gerbils, Guinea pigs), birds, and even some amphibians (news, frogs), reptiles (lizards, snakes), and I think I saw a tarantula once! There is food and treats for pets, and the sort of accommodation, supplies, and necessities relevant and particular to each. I can't recall a time when they were out of food. If they didn't have the exact treat I was looking for, there were ample alternatives. There is also a veterinary practice of some kind within, though we go elsewhere (due to location convenience and boarding), so I can't speak to it's competence or cost. I am very glad this store is close to my home.

I had an EXTREMELY unsatisfactory experience with Carmen, the groomer at this PetSmart location. She displayed unfriendly behavior, avoided eye contact, and had a low tone voice, making it clear she didn't want to help. Without even analyzing my dogs fur she made it clear she couldn’t save any of it and she had to shave it all off. I requested to preserve my golden doodle's facial, head and neck hair because the hair was not severely matted as the rest of his body was. I was okay with his body, legs and tail being shaved due to the circumstances. In the end she shaved the facial/head and neck area completely bald without explanation. To make matters worse, a $40 dematting fee was added, contradicting the earlier assertion that the hair was beyond saving. On top of that his hair was patchy and uneven. How was he bald and uneven? Great question. Moving along, my dog was at this location, CONFINED from 1:30 pm to 6 pm, he wasn't taken outside to relieve himself and ended up deficating on himself. When picked up, he was visibly shaken and ready to get out of there (abnormal behavior from him) . I strongly advise against booking with CARMEN or anyone else at this location.

Terrible customer service.1.I called 9:48 am to schedule bath foe my frenchie.2.Since 1st visit here asked me to bring in his papers.3.Was told appointment for 4pm.4.I arrive 3:45. Clerk looking and sounding confusing. Asked if I was sure I booked this location.5.Showed proof in my phone that I did.6.Next asked me to call my vet to get expiration date for rabies shot that was given less than a year ago. I asked do they usually expire before 1 year.7.Service tech then proceeded to ask me if they can not get my dog in today that they can schedule for tomorrow. I told her things are off to a disaster of a start and if my pet is not booked no need to reschedule.8.I pray that no harm comes to my beloved pet. I am scared 😱9.Will give you guys and update with pictures later today when o pick him up in about 40 min allegedly.

Somehow dissapointed with my visit at this petsmart location.They had highly overpriced betta fish in real bad conditions. The water in their plastic containers was completely green and murky, you could barely see the poor fish.

Petsmart sold me 3 frogs with Chytrid. Do not shop here. They do not take care of the creatures they are in the business of caring for.I set up a 10 gallon tank, filled it with live plants and bubblers, and let it filter for 9 days in order to prepare for the African dwarf frogs. I bought three frogs, I noticed one had a small patch of “fur” on his foot, but assumed since he was swimming normal, it was okay, nothing to worry about. The next day I wake up to the “fur” engulfing the frog’s entire leg, and the seemingly healthy frog DEAD. I tried the treatment a specialist recommended to me for the frog with the infection, and it did not work, the fur continued to spread. The next day I found the infected frog, as well as the remaining healthy frog dead. All three frogs dead in three days. My ph is perfect, I’ve been feeding them appropriately, and set up a wonderful environment for these animals. So I took the dead frogs to a specialist in friendswood, who has declared that the animals all had Chytrid, a disease amphibians contract.No surprise petsmart has diseased dying animals, they don’t care when they notice sick or dead animals in their care.This tank was supposed to be relaxing, therapeutic, and productive. Instead it has been a traumatic and heartbreaking nightmare . Thanks.

My son went into this facility on yesterday to try and adopt a cat. He had a few before that he had to re-home due to finances . So the ladies at this location weretreating him badly . They said they would not allow him to adopt because they felt uncomfortable.Whatever that means ! He felt they were being racist towards him . How sad that they would judge such a smart and respectful young man .

Danielle and Hannah did amazing with our two pomskis. They needed a little extra TLC and they went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure they looked perfect for the holidays. Definitely have earned our business and we will be coming to see them every 4 to 6 weeks. Highly recommend.

Very angry at how the cashier lady at PetsMart rudely assumed that I skipped in line in front of a boy even though the boy clearly said to everyone in the vicinity that it was okay to skip him since he was just waiting for his mother! The cashier lady insisted I go to the end of the line, but soon realized she was wrong after asking the boy if I was telling the truth, to which the boy said I was right. She did not even apologize to me! PetsMart needs to teach its employees how not to discriminate against customers based on appearances. I may be a big man, but I am no bully. How dare they allow such rude behavior! Better to get pet food elsewhere that is not the PetsMart in Pearland!

I don't recommend to use Emily, took my dog here and he returned with his beard matted in 4 spots. We had to cut it which left bald patches smh, he was also favoring his left back paw. I'm guessing she also cut too close to his nerve when doing his nails. She stated he didn't want his front done after she did his backs. I wouldn't either. I will be going elsewhere for his grooming in the future

Will never return to this location! Dog was dropped off for a surgical consult and crated entire day. Dog was left in crate entire day, with leash and harness on. Stressed with diarrhea and returned her with entire back half wet and injured paw. Survey question was, “did they treat your pet like their own?” My dog would have had better care roaming the street! Please reach out for photos!

Worst grooming experience ever!!!! Do not go there AT ALL!!! I’m an easy going person that rarely write reviews. Petsmart in Pearland has caused this review from me. I have a Female Yorkipoo. Her hair was roughly 5-6 inches. The groomer said well she needs to be de-tangled at a $20 charge. (Or I’ll have to cut her down low) I said that’s fine. Mind you, she came with a fine toothed comb on a curly haired pup to try to prove or convince an up-charge. Being passive, so I don’t appear as the “Angry Black Man”, I said that’s fine. (Shaking my head) I walked to car and immediately called the grooming department to say after the shampoo and de-tangling, can you please leave the hair at the top a little longer for her bows? To my dismay, the groomer was cutting her before the shampoo and de-tangling!!!!! I knew then, it was an issue. My pup was literally scaived with a military biz cut!!! I talked to the manager, quite naturally backing bluer employee up for her attitude and error. I called corporate, they saw where I was charged for de-tangling with no service done, charges for fluff cut, but one step from bald. Corporate specifically said that shampooing is always better cuts, ( I know that being a stylist for 30 plus years). The manager called a day later with a negative and defensive attitude with no intention of attempting to correct their mistakes! We all know those disgruntled, nonchalant, sharp tones, so I hung up!!!!! Didn’t write this review until it came across my feed to review PetSmart in Pearland. The Universe has a way of making you do things I guess, cause I’d just let the world take care of them and give them everything they deserve.“Angry Black Man”

Brought a perfectly healthy dog for a grooming appointment and now we are worried about him LOSING AN EYE! Never again will we bring him back here! Got a phone call that his eyeball was scratched and they had him in the vet!!! Vet confirmed it is a puncture! Dog is 3 so this is a big deal! He is a very sweet dog and was always told he was one of their favorites… absolute negligence on their side! After this happened we heard this wasn’t the first time an animal has been hurt here! Wouldn’t have taken him had we known!

This is the worst grooming experience ever. My heart is broken over my baby. The groomer hurt her with the tools she has blood and cuts. You can even the see the horrible hair cut the groomer did. I have before and after pictures that before pic has a date on it. The groomer also left the matting under her ears, she also didn’t clean out her eyes. I doubt she even washed her cuz she smells really bad, I didn’t notice because she put perfume on my dog. I was a loyal petsmart customer till this, my dog cried for almost 30 minutes after I picked her up. It is just wrong!

Petsmart has always been a place where I take my shih tzu for her monthly grooming appointments. They always do a great job and she comes out much happier. I also recently bought a brown bear hamster for my niece and he's been such a great addition to the family.

Edit:Having to wait 10+ minutes consistently is crazy and it hasn’t improved. Make sure to block off an hour of your day so you can wait 10-15 minutes for someone to get you crickets and then another 5 minutes of waiting in a line since they’re always understaffed.The staff is friendly. They are understaffed though so getting assistance has always been tricky and the line to check out takes awhile.There have been several occasions where I’ve had to wait ~10 minutes for someone to help me get crickets.I’d prefer to not be inside the store for 20 minutes to just simply get a few crickets.It’s also equally bothersome that they get upset when you’re getting your own crickets. I wouldn’t have to get my own if I didn’t have to wait forever for someone to help me get them. Again, I understand they are understaffed but this doesn’t excuse a business’ lack of performance.

Good place to board pets for a short duration of time. I generally drop off my dog here if I need her boarded for 3-4 days. You need to provide food and other treats your dog needs. They provide the stay, bedding, and food/water bowls.This location is new (at the time of this review). They used to be located in Pearland but they have now moved here. I've been told that they will be having a fence area in the back soon where the dogs can play.

They don't even deserve one star!! My first and LAST time taking my fur baby here for grooming services.ANGELA R. cut my fur baby!! Do not book with her or at this location. Pay attention to the reviews and your gut feeling when you're there. When I was informed my Yorky was ready for pick up, I showed up and my fur baby did not even want to walk out. It's sad to say but he was literally being dragged to me by a leash! AND, dragged over other dog hair that were on the floor. He was sooo shaky when I picked him up to hold him out! ANGELA R. was not the one handing him to me, she was called and did not come out w him. Hmm? I wonder why!?! Maybe because she knew what she did! $351.26 was my vet visit today to cure his cut. My fur baby got staples today! My Yorky has not been himself after the visit. I called the store and was transferred to the "MOD", spoke to SHELBY - it's being investigated.Will not return for grooming service!!! Horrible service!!! Save your fur baby from torture!!

Frustrating ..... I bought the bedding and food that was advertised in store and online as BOGO. However, it did not ring up on sale at register. So, I had to sit and wait 4 someone to verify sale. Why is a cashier not familiar with the current sales and why isn't it priced correctly. VERY FRUSTRATING and poor customer service..

I placed an order for an instore pickup. They did not have the size I ordered, so they made up for it by providing the same brand/flavor with 3 bags. I really appreciated this because I was low on food and would have been bummed if the order was cancelled. Great decision by whomever filled the order.

I encountered extremely rude staff while checking my shihtzu in for his appointment on August 2 at 11:30 a.m.I was finally able to bring my fur baby in for a full cut. He had some matting, all I wanted was a full cut as scheduled with DJ but he wasn’t there. Their customer service is terrible. I’ve never experienced such a mean person say very demeaning, and ignorant things to their customers. I ended up calling the staff out on their behavior and leaving with my fur baby. I’m disgusted, and disappointed that the other staff members didn’t speak up. On the way out another customer that looks like me let me know that they had the same experience with the same staff member. The behavior is very concerning.
