I am very grateful that the grooming salon hired Fernando. After he joined the team, you can feel the joy and love in the salon. I have used various grooming salons within Texas, including at least 6 of this branch (Austin, Houston, Pasadena), and I couldn't find a groomer that finally understood my instructions and please my needs: do not cut any hair, no shaving any of my Shih Tzu (7 ShihTzu), no trimming, nothing. Groomers are always in a hurry, like if the next bath is about to run out of water or something; they want to do what's easier for then to do, not what you want for your pet. I often go to this store as is the closest one. One day I am there and I was speaking with Michelle, who is the manager of the sore, the lady with pinkish hair and greenish eyes and the most wonderful and delightful smile ever, and I was complaining about my frustration regarding my dogs. Michelle said, "Let me introduce you to someone," and she took me to Fernando and said, "Groomer... this is your friend!". OH MY GOODNESS! This kid is just outstanding. He always goes above and beyond with my dogs. I have extremely high expectations, and my requirements aren't simple to meet. However, if there is no spot for my dog(s), Fernando would tell me to come another day in such a pleasant way that I leave the grooming area and go to the store to spend money looking forward to seeing him again. Fernando takes his time, in the grooming are, you have also July and another girl, they are wonderful, Fernando's team is a real team, but none of them can be compared to his work, his patience, his dedication, his love for my stubborn fluffy babies. I highly recommend this salon, Fernando won't rush you even if they are people waiting because the people waiting (and I have been one of those), understands the price, not speaking about money, of having their babies with Fernando, and they are willing to pay for it. The day Fernando leaves this store, there is no more Petco for me. I just love going there and so does my fur baby! The staff are amazing and helpful! And so understand!! Not only are they good for and to the animals but the owners as well! The only down side to Petco is how expensive their pricing is, that's why we go and not so much shop! I just really enjoy going in there it's so inviting!!

Disorganized, hardly any price tags and when there is, it's not for the product that's there and lacks a lot of stuff. They'll have one part of something but not the other. Staff isn't welcoming or very helpful most times.

The grooming area is good. But the store floor near the grooming and check-out area smells terrible. It smells like dog urine. The floor looks dirty, full of old dog hair, and unhygienic. It can be done better, mainly because our four-leg friends deserve better.

The service was lousy slow and uninformed.. not worth the time.. poor selection of things..You can apologize all you want.. but it won't fix my negative experience..You can make improvements starting off by not giving these generic apologies and work on guest relations. Fire or train the workers.. Hire competent employees in the belief that the customer is always right.But by your answer and seeing nothing has changed in many years. I believe the firing and hiring needs to be done from the top of the corporation, CEO on down.

Love this place! One of the managers there, Michelle I believe is her name, is always so upbeat and cheery. She loves what she does and it's noticeable. The store is always clean and organized, makes it very easy to find what you're looking for.

Big Box pet store. I try to deal with a girl named Kari when I am buying fish tank stuff. She seems to be very knowledgeable about fish stuff and is friendly and easy to talk to. We also have cats and the cat area is always well stocked and store is kept up very well and it is easy to find what your looking for.

Had to go find an employee to help in the fish department. The selection is getting worse and never changes' bought some hermit crabs and they put them in a plastic bag. I pay for the crabs and asked for a bag. She said it was 10 cents. What the hell is wrong with you people. Why do you put hermit crabs in a plastic bag but you cant put a hermit crab already in a bag in another bag. stupidity. Plastic bags are not bad, its people noy doing what's responsible. Is petco going to stop selling food because people have fat dogs? No you keep selling dog food to make more money You don't care if they are fat or not. Only make money. How does petco get there fish from the wholesaler? I bet it's not in paper bags.

I like going here because they have everything I need for my saltwater fish and they have alot of saltwater fishes as well. This is were I purchased my nemo's They also do price match against there online website when it comes to there products . Thank you petco. Looking forward to purchasing my next fish here again.

Went an hour before closing, picked out a frog and a snail for my daughters fish tank and asked for help to get them. The employee didn’t want to help me and said he doesn’t have time and they were short staffed and had too much to do before closing. Then he made something up stating it was store policy that they couldn’t sell fish after 7:20 when I got there at 7:00 and he turned the lights out on me in the fish area saying he didn’t see me and my two kids. The customer service here used to be above and beyond. I went to Petsmart instead and got that.

We came to a appointment to get our puppy groom and I went out of my way of work to come all the way down to this location to find out Groom called in sick !I never got a call or email about her calling in sick so we won’t have to drive all the way over here and go e in late to work … No apology from receptionist either .Also they came into my business page giving me a one star that makes it very unprofessional because ,I was the one not advise on time to not drive from Humble to Pasadena and made it to my appointment on time that groomer called in sick .They have not got services from my office or business to be giving us reviews!…

There was a very sweet woman named Michelle who gave me the absolute best experience I've ever had shopping there in the 10+ years I've shopped at this Petco. We need more people like Michelle! Be like Michelle who worked at 12:40pm on 10/17/2023! Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they're named Michelle!

We went to buy something yesterday at 7 and it was closed, we watched the outside schedule and said open until 8Someone opened the door and said nothing as excuse at least. That’s not right, the hours open should be respected and don’t looking the doors to avoid customers going in, specifically being an hour before to close.

preboxed crickets 36 for 5.99 but the problem was most of them are dead but they were gonna charge full price for them. They were out of thier normal crickets. They only gave me a discount after I called them out, if not they would have charged full price. I called corporate and they pretty much said they couldn't do snything, the stores are independently own.Yea i will stick to petsmart!

They are always out of Super Worms when I go 😒 but most of the time they're super friendly. The cashier didn't look too thrilled to have to call another Petco, he just kinda said, I guess, let me call a manager. I told him nevermind, wished him a great day and my daughter and I left.

I had my poodle puppy groomed at your Pasadena location yesterday and I am not pleased with the outcome.I did point out one feature of the attempted clip and she quickly corrected that The young lady may have lacked experience, if that was the case, I feel someone with more experience should have supervised her. This is not something I would expect from Petco.
