So I know it's the not the employees fault or the people In the store but they made a new rule I guess. So I bought a new PS5 controller I had like 5 months in the warranty and the X button went out. Well they said I'd have to change it in for a used controller. That's the new policy I change I suppose. That's a bit ridiculous. Then they only had one controller the light blue one, well he opens the bag hands me the controller and the joy sticks had a white powdery substance on themand the controller was literally dirty stg I had to point all that out just to be able to get a new controller as the warranty I paid for my new controller I bought.

So we came to Paris, TX want to win today to do some game shopping during their clearance special. The two employees in the store were working very hard to organize and get the store looking great and you can tell that their work was really paying off cuz it was really easy to find when I was looking for. I found quite a lot of copies of games I was looking to buy. But there was one that I couldn't find out there so I went and talked to the lady at the counter and sure enough she pulled up in a drawer of all clearance games and was more than happy to point out what she had. I could tell she was having a rough day and I told her I appreciate it all the help. Unfortunately as we left the store and went down the road we realized that the games in the Nintendo switch cases were not in there. We went back to the store and instead of them giving us the common opened but new games from GameStop the lady gave us brand new sealed versions of the games we bought. This was something that she didn't have to do and shows outstanding customer service. After leaving the store again I felt compelled to go back inside and spoke to the lady that kind of one more time. She is the manager of the store and her name is Gabby. Again I could tell she was having a rough day. So I told her that her and the other lady in the store were doing a great job and to keep her chin up. It was at that moment I realized that she was also the manager for the store in Mount pleasant. Overall if you want to go to a GameStop but not only has an organized layout but has great management and customer service you can't go wrong at this location. I cannot thank Gabby enough for her help and understanding and hope that her day gets much better.

Don't come here trying to buy anything, the CHILD that was scheduled that night was not mentally stable to be doing the job. Unprofessional is an understatement.She was on her phone the whole time, then got a text from God knows who, got upset and started slamming things on the floor.Just so you know I'm not lying check your cameras cuz she does not need to have this job if she is that mentally unwell

Had issues with my console overheating so my wife went to buy a upgraded model as a surprise for my birthday. When I received it I realized the employees had actually sold her a downgraded used model. When I asked her about it she said they had wanted her to bring the old console in so they could "refurbish" it and resell it. I will never do business here again. Just because people may not know the difference between different consoles or games should not mean they should be taken advantage of. Two stars because the store did refund our money back after a brief argument with the employee at the register.

Warning: Don't buy people gifts from this store, especially consoles. They only allows 15 days for returns or exchanges... So if you buy somebody a gift more than 15 days before you give it to them, they will treat the item as a used trade-in instead of a return, Even if the item is brand new and unused. 15 days is a fraction of the amount of time allowed for returns by just about any other national chain, including Walmart (30 days), Amazon (30 to 90 days), and Target (30 days).A big item like a console is in an investment, and there are a lot of options that can be confusing for people who aren't super tech savvy. If you buy your loved one the wrong version of something from GameStop, you're out of luck.When we ran into this situation recently, the employee we spoke with about the situation in question offered no understanding or sympathy. Since I have no way of knowing how much flexibility GameStop corporate offers its employees in regards to how this policy is enforced, I'm not going to blame them for that--but a little kindness goes a long way in situations like this and instead we were met with a brick wall. I really don't like leaving a bad review for a local business, but the bad taste left in my mouth from this experience needed an outlet.The bottom line is, if you're at all unsure about a purchase, don't give these people your money. You won't get it back.

I visited Game Stop Tuesday 1/10/23. I was hoping to purchase a Micro SD Card. I was shown two items and they were not what I needed. "If you open a microSD after purchase and it is the wrong item Game Stop will not accept it back".I have bought a few things at this business in the past and was pleased with my purchases. Always ask questions and double check and verify before purchasing. I'm giving four stars because of the return policy.

While yes the store had what I was looking for. While there a customer asked about senior discounts and the male employee stated "we only offer military and I dont see why" as a Veteran I personally have never asked for a discount there. However, as the employee its not his place to add his 2 scents its his job to fallow the companies guidelines. It was extremely discouraging to here the employee speak like this those Veterans are the one who make it possible for him to speak like that.

Anthony was very helpful and kind to my geeky children. The store was clean and well organized. I am glad we stopped by to gear up and shop at this store. They had some great deals and Anthony is a gem of an employee engaging in conversation to help point the kids in the right direction in the store to suit their individual interests. I will definitely be going back.

I've always had a great experience with the GameStop in Paris Tx. They always remember my name and what stuff my family is interested in. I always enjoy talking with them about playing games, Funko pops, and cool pre order stuff. I picked up my Hogwarts PS5 today and can't wait to play it. Even got lucky and found The Evil Within part 1 I've been looking for. Keep up the good work guys.

This used to be a good place to shop until here recently. Today I came to pick up a preorder and the cashier told me she don’t have the time to look for it and didn’t even offer to do anything about it. I asked to get my money back and she wouldn’t do it.This is the 4th time it has happened. If you pre order something don’t expect to get it on release day

I'm giving this Game Stop a 5 star rating for the sales man that worked there. This Game Stop is in Paris Texas. The salesman was very knowledgeable of the store. He gave me several interesting sales pitches that actually benefitted me. I really appreciated how informative he was. I know that he was doing his job, but it did it all to well. He had a bandana on with braided hair. He drove a nice motorcycle. Please thank him for me.

That place is a joke and very unprofessional my brother went in on 5-31-2022 with a Xbox one to sell and the offed him $80 Said he would like to think about it they said that was fine went back to sell it the next day 6-1-2022 the assistant manager as soon as we asked about sellin it got real offensive and acting weird we had no power cord or controller came out of a storage unit but took it to a friends house that has a Xbox one to make sure it works and it does they didn even want to test it told him what the guy said from the day before he acted like I was crazy will not be back hope the store closes it’s doors for good !!!

I got an excellent price for my PS4 and the staff were super helpful, they sadly didn't have any Nintendo switches when I went in but that's okay. My only problem was the awkward parking and that's really out of their control 4/5 stars!

I’ve been to quite a few Gamestop’s, but this one has always been one of my favorites. They carry a lot of merchandise, and the customer support is amazing. Every worker that I have encountered there has been helpful, interested in what I have to say, and are just polite in general.I have yet to have a negative experience in this Gamestop.The workers take the time to recognize me when I come in, and they suggest items that they think I might enjoy based off my precocious purchases. This is an excellent way to treat the customers.I love this location!

Always a pleasure to shop here. The store manager has been at this location for years and really knows her stuff. The staff is knowledgeable about games and systems. Prices are comparable to other Video Game stores and always a good selection of games to choose from.

I'm not the biggest fan of GameStops. They tend to overcharge on a lot of things. However, this is a great place to get your new items. I also have great novelty things and collectibles are usually on clearance. If you are a huge fan of Funko Pops, game collections, and switch accessories then this is the place to go. Unless they have a sale on t-shirts, don't buy any they're too expensive.

Have an Xbox one S that's not operating anymore. The guy's were very professional and gave me great advice. Even informed me of when the district manager would be in to further handle my particular situation. Not really into gaming anymore, but if I was a serious gamer this place would be my all time fav spot.

Just got off phone asked a question, was told they were a Lil busy, and referred me to go on line to get the info. I was inquiring about....in he length of time it took for her to say what she said she could have very easily answered my question, I jus wanted to know about how much a used xbox 360 usually cost. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! I have driven OVER 50 miles to shop at this store, and will drive 50 more to do my shopping elsewhere....Drill CUSTOMER SERVICE in your employees head!!!!

The pricing of used items is all over the board depending on what they paid for that specific unit, so be sure to check them all and make sure you're getting the best deal on used. The used pricing is far worse than pawn shops. I looked at GTA5 on PS3 and GameStop wanted about $25 for it. I went to the pawn shop and paid $8.The staff is pretty friendly but usually seem to feel overwhelmed. The store is somewhat cramped. While GameStop has the charm of a modernistic look the service can not begin to compare to Game Xchange across the street.

They accused me and my dad of stealing when I asked my dad to hold my backpack so I could get my game out my backpack so I could see how much I would get for my games the whole time I was doing this I saw a guy talking pictures of me and my dad and he looked scared but I didn't care because I was just there to sell my games then after we left the store to go to game exchange to get a better price but when we left game exchange a cop pulled us over and requested to see my backpack so I did the only things that was in there were my new games that I got from game exchange because they actually care about there customers unlike gamestop also we both got banned for a year from gameatop for being innocent. P.S the reason I didn't trade my games at gamestop because when I didn't want to trade my games there she said she didn't care am like I know y'all never did care.

Just got off the phone, or actually they just hung up on me after refusing to answer questions about why I was sold a completely non working game when they are supposed to be screened before they sell them as preowned. Continued to talk over me.That was all after standing in line at the store and having two employees argue about inventory instead of helping and giving customer service. I have never had this kind of horrible experience at any gamestop.

I called and was harassed by a worker named Liz who wanted to talk to be about my caller ID. She then informs me that I can sell my two week old 500$ 1tb PS4 to them for 90$ and, when I asked, informed me gamestop will turn around to sell it for around $250.Use Facebook to sell your items and don't waste your time listening to people's review of your caller ID only to be told your 500$ investment is worth $90 or 140$ store credit.

Ordered a game system on Dec 15, paid lots extra for delivery before Christmas, paid with credit card, was told if I got a computer printout of purchase then it would be pulled for shipment. Got email today the order was canceled due to out of stock and can't get any of my money back until after Christmas. Was basicly sold a system that was already out of stock. Been on hold for an hour with coporate, and Paris manager didn't have time to talk to me.

Great if you feel like getting $2 dollars back for trading in a new release. This stores more for buying games, not trading them. Go somewhere else if you plan on earning a little bit of money off of your brand new console or video game.
