The staff is very knowledgeable of all their dogs, their needs, and temperament. We stopped by while on a visit and really wanted to take them all home. Highly recommended as a location for your next dog or cat.Facilities were all kept very clean and sanitized I was very impressed with the upkeep of the kennels and animals themselves. Emily was very helpful!

I adopted Poly from Pampa animal shelter a few months ago. Best dog ever! I know they take good care of animals there because she is always happy to go back and visit. Kudos to Pampa Animal Control for putting the Animals first.

PAWS is the best place to come get your new fur-ever pet. There are so many animals there just wanting, craving for love and attention. They also need volunteers to help exercise the animals too. See if you can't find time to help out or donate some supplies.

I was helping fill Kongs. I'm a volunteer for Paw's and a Altrusa member. Always love going to the Animal Shelter and checking out the Kitty. I even adopted a Calico Kitten in January this year.

The workers were very helpful and understanding of our wants and needs for a baby.. I have not adopted yet and only went to look today but am going back this Sunday with my husband to pick a new baby. Super excited! :)Update: went back Sunday and the lady that was working was REALLY rude. Basically ignored me and even cut me off when i was speaking!! She obviously did not want to help us. Even rolled her eyes after we looked at the dogs amd went back to the desk.However, the other lady we spoke with about the dog we adopted was wonderful! And we have a beautiful fur baby to love very much now. So although one person wasn't the best I am still very happy to have my baby. Also the kennels were very clean and the animals seemed very well cared for. The most of the workers were very knowledgeable on each individual animal there.

A much needed upgrade to the old animal control building, but it was placed on the site of my childhood playground. Once where little kids ran and played, now dogs poop. Facility looks clean on the outside. Staff could use a bit more training on how to handle people a little better. Was told to keep the stray and try to contact the owner of the stray myself rather than take the stray and locate the owner themselves.

My dog was in quarantine for 9 days. The time she was in there she lost all of her body mass and muscle. She was shedding so bad to the point to where they never bath the dogs. My dog has never shed like that in the two and a half years I've had her. I take care of my babies. And for them to have a new facility.. why can't they take better care of the communities animals and pets?? I'm highly upset in the way my dog was neglected!!!

I had a terrible experience here. Almost every single person was extremely rude. The people there seriously don’t know how to talk to other humans. I’d give this place zero stars if I could. The play areas were covered in dog poop and it all stank so bad. The dogs that I met haven’t had baths in months. This place should be shut down for the dogs safety and health.

Pampa needs their tax paying dollars to go elsewhere. Some of the staff were really nice to me. Some in my opinion were very racist because that is the vibe they gave off to me. Seriously, how would someone feel if they were African American and called an animal shelter to come and get stray cats and the pound told you they "will not take the kittens without the mommy." However, the pound shows up to your neighborhood five years later to catch one of the same kittens born to the mommy cat for a new neighbor that happens to be White? Hmmm

Our family reserved a dog through this shelter but we were told we had to wait 2 weeks before we could pick her up. In the meantime, we bought her a dog bed, a collar, leash, dog bowls, set up a grooming and vet appt...and were SO excited to get her. Our 2 and 5 year old boys wouldnt stop asking about her. We drove over an hour to Pampa to go get her, only to be told "Oh, man, i dont know what happened, because she was adopted to someone else 2 days ago". So disheartening. These people need to get their business in order. Once that happens, people will start respecting this place. I wish the best for the pups that come out of this shelter, obviously, but we were so upset when we learned she was gone. Not professional.

Adopted a small dog here. Great dog. I was told someone dumped her on the side of the road. I can't imagine why. Staff where helpful and friendly. The shelter was clean and well organized.

You're unable to adopt a puppy 4 months and younger if you live out of town and along with unable to bring any of your own pets in to let them meet any possible animal you might to want adopt im very disappointed

Faustina had my dogs leg cut off. Then adopted him out somewheres on the day I go to pick him up!! I have had him for 10 years..... Somebody please help me

Though some of the workers were very kind, and even apologized about an inconvenience that happened with my dogs, some workers were just downright rude and had no consideration for how I might've felt in that moment.
