Love this place they are always very friendly. Love when you walk in gentlemen are always seating there talking almost like the good old days when people would meet up and just visit. Love it. Very reasonable price on everything. Considering prices are high everywhere.

I just moved here. I was hesitant to shop here given the negative comments. I'm glad that once again I decided to make my own opinion.The gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming. We chatted for a bit. The young man that was inside when I arrived heard what I needed and proceeded to get my order together and load it in my truck while I was paying and visiting. He was very kind, also. He had everything loaded when I walked outside.Thanks for the great service. I'll be back.

This place gives mom and pop businesses a bad name, came in looking for products to feed a baby bird and the guy was incredibly rude to me and whoever called while I was there. No civility. When i left he yelled i wouldnt find mealworms anywhere else in town but I promptly found them at petsense In a variety of sizes and a better price.

Brought my 79 year old mother here 30 minutes before closing because she was out of chicken feed and we'd had to drive into Palestine. Listened to crumbles ping against the back windshield of my truck all the way home. We will stick with the feed store in Jacksonville from now on. 👍

Unhappy with the product (iron peas) 150lbs full of beetles. When I called to warn them about their stock, he said, it happens this time of year. He said he would refund me if I brought them back but I was already 30 min away and out in the field. Plus they close in under an hour and I needed to get the seed in the ground today.He assured me they wouldn’t be bothered by the bugs and would still germinate. Obviously, he and I know better than that but I pray I get some still produce.I would’ve apologized offered a refund and told me to go ahead a plant what I had and that I’d do everything to prevent that in the future.I normally buy my seed in Buffalo but I wanted to try to spend my money in town opposed to out of town.Last $126 this company gets from me!

The owner was knowledgeable but after a while he was just full of himself. He was super rude and petty. His cat followed us out the door and I didn't notice. He was basically pushing the door on me cause according to him I was not closing it fast enough. I stayed around a bit cause I wanted to put his cat back inside for him. Once I picked him up he opened the door abruptly and said "he's going to start following you if you keep petting him like that" he took the cat from my hands and close the door rudely. If he would have actually paid attention I was not petting his cat I was just trying to help him I will never come back because customer service is so easy to display. But it seems like for him it's very hard to be kind whenever you feel like you know it all.

I've been putting off writing this review since the middle of last year. Drove by there today and remembered the experience I had. To start off with, trust the other reviews that say the owner of this place is rude. Sometime last year during the middle of summer I was walking from westwood to a business downtown. I ended up walking by this business when the water in my bottle ran out. It was about 95 degrees outside or so. I went inside and was met by 4 or 5 older gentlemen that were talking. Im sure they all didnt work there. The owner went behind the counter and asked, "what can I get ya." I asked him if he has a water fountain or anything I could use to fill my bottle. He responded with, "Not for you, I have water for my workers only." I replied with, "man I'll buy a bottle off of ya if you dont mind, or could even fill my bottle up with your garden hose." He looked at me for a second, and said, "like I told ya, water is for my workers only." So I'm standing there, pouring sweat. I didnt have a response. I buy dogfood from this place all the time because they carry a high protein food. But that was the last and final time I will ever step foot in that business.

I went in the other day for the first time, looking for a specific item. They didn't have it but could order it for me. I bought several other items, their prices are reasonable, and the man that works/owns it is very personable. I would recommend it and will go back!

I love their puppy food and dog food called Victor. And on the other brand that I use to use they would hardly eat much. Now they eat better. It's better for them and their digestive system.
