Andy is wonderful. He really cares about the animals and takes the time to educate people about why it's important to help control the animal population and prevent the spread of diseases by getting your animals neutered and spayed and not feeding stray animals. You may think that you're doing them a favor by feeding them or dropping stray animals off somewhere just because you don't want them put to sleep, but in reality you are putting them in greater danger because they don't know where the food sources are or where predators are in that new foreign location. Plus you're creating another problem for someone else. Even if you catch them and have them fixed and then release them, they still need yearly vaccinations to protect them from diseases. Once only covers them for one year. Can you afford to get multiple vaccinations for stray animals EVERY YEAR, plus catch them again every single year in order to do that? Probably not. So it's not really fair or humane to just worry about feeding them and neglecting or ignoring their other needs such as yearly vaccinations. Without these being done ongoing, every year, they will eventually get sick, pass on the diseases and die in a slow painful way. At least if they do have to put them to sleep, they die in a peaceful and humane way, just like they are going to sleep with no pain. Believe me, I am the biggest animal lover ever, and I used to take in every stray cat imaginable, but after talking with Andy, it helped me better understand animal control and what role they play and how I can help the animals better as well as help prevent spreading diseases from these stray animals. I no longer view the dog pounds who do operate in an ethical way as bad. They only put an animal to sleep if they are vicious, too sick, or they have been there awhile and they need to make room for other animals. They do partner with several non profit small groups that help them to get these animals vaccinated and rehomed if possible. I have a lot of respect for what they do and how they are here to help out the community. Please help out your local community by getting your animals neutered or spayed and do not drop off stray animals to other areas or feed them! They are considered your animals once you feed them, plus dropping off animals is illegal and inhumane even if you are not caught or think that you are helping in some way.

Thanks so much to Andy and Marc for helping us adopt a new family member! #16 will have a new name! They helped me with a meet and greet at the shelter with our doberman to make sure they would be friends! Our new furry family member is settling right in💕‼️ They have some special babies looking for a good home...💕

No one ever answered and the voice machine says to call a number on weekends and holidays and turns out the number is the orange police, what in world I need a animal person not the police.
