I picked up the phone, looked up Dollar General and called. A male answered the phone "yeah..." (Not Dollar General or How May I help you?). I ask if they have anchovies and he tells me they do. I also had my son call to ensure the young man actually looked it up instead of just assuming. I drive 10 minutes to the DG and alas, they don't even carry the product I called about. So I asked COLIN why he would tell me they had something they don't even carry and he lied to my face saying "I went and looked and they were there!" I proceeded to ask him if someone came and bought the rest of the product in the 10 minutes it took me to get there in his response was " they could have" and then he scoffed and ignored me. Very unprofessional and pathetic COLIN

I am so disappointed with this place. Was excited to see a dollar general while on a long trip with my 3 young children, a recently single mom. I thought I’d stop in and grab some coloring books to occupy them. Going into any store with all 3 is no easy task but at this point I was desperate. In the middle of shopping I was approached by a very angry woman with long brown hair that told me I can’t come into her store and make big messes, I need to teach my children how to clean up, and if not then we need to get out of her store. I was appalled and told her they were t making any big messes and if they dropped anything on the floor then I really apologize. I was struggling to juggle my 3 young kids, one of which is autistic, and she kept pointing to them and telling me I needed to teach them a lesson or leave. I was shocked but didn’t know if she worked there or not because she didn’t look dressed for work and she wasn’t wearing a name tag. I asked if she worked there and she said she was the GM. Even more shocking because I was in there spending $50+ supporting her store. The kids and I were very nice and well-behaved. I broke down while checking out because I was so in shock. I have never encountered anything like that in my life. You would think a struggling mom would be kindly greeted and asked if she needed any help, but the only words out of this woman’s mouth were hateful. Very disappointed that a trip to Dollar General turned into a nightmare that my children had to witness.

This store has been upgraded to a home store. They don't have a clothing section, but the selection they did have is very nice. It's a little cramped, but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this location. Especially for those looking to replace some of their Wal-Mart shopping.

I love this dollar general. It's so easy to get along with all the workers and they start remembering you and talking with you as well the more you go in. They seem like they enjoy there job and try to always be happy. Always helpful too.

Dollar General! You can't possibly expect a better rating when you have one person stocking & working as cashier. Give your managers more hours to work with so your shelves can be properly sorted and the store cleaned. I would visit more often if I didn't feel like I may need a tetanus shot after each visit. This is seriously a upper management problem, your stores are really understaffed for the work yall expect the to accomplish.

Dollar generals have been popping up everywhere lately mostly in rural areas.. I stopped at this one because it was close by, and nobody else is around the area, and to my amazement, they were well stocked with cheap prices. Definitely change my mind about dollar generals and I plan on continuing to shop there

Love our New Dollar General!! They have everything we need anytime we run our of something,,,! Well almost! They did not have Crisco baking butter sticks and do not have Hershey's Chocolate baking powder!

I guess for the past 4 years I have been using the Groves Dollar Store.... It is close to my home..... I stopped in today at the Dollar General store just south of Interstate 10 in Mauriceville oh my gosh I was absolutely amazed at how neat and clean the store was there were no big carts of groceries our product needing to be put away you could go up and down every aisle when everybody was very helpful, after spending a lovely afternoon with my granddaughter and now we'll use that dollar store that's closer to their house then mine but I go there twice a week so this should not be a problem I'm very impressed

Very clean well organized store. The employees are not however very welcoming. I'm also disappointed I can't use my app in the store due to their free wifi has no internet access and also they have cellphone blockers.

Can’t use Apple Pay because the cashiers aren’t trained for it, would be nice if managers trained employees to take common payment methods at their NEW store.
