Beware. Beautiful park, large area, mostly clean except for one thing… the burs. We saw them sticking to other dogs coats too late to save our dogs the misery. Ha at least ten per paw, in their faces, tail, belly, and it took hours to get them out. Our little guys could not even walk. Will never go back. This park sucks and is the worst we have visited. Why not some grass that’s not filled with burs.

Quite honestly, one of the best dog parks in the country. I travel a lot, and when I came across this place I was quite impressed. Lots of seating, bags and tools to deal with waste, and a ton of space for dogs to run around. It’s busiest around 5-8.Restrooms: There’s a shed looking building that’s a restroom! I’ve never seen that at a dog park. Very convenient.

Lovely day. Lots of bags to pick up after dog. Bring your own water bowl. There is a fountain and the pups have little shade.

This place is a hidden gem. There's two separate areas. Both with plenty of running space and builds for pups to climb. Other visitors are friendly and respectful. Usually park is empty during the day. The party starts around 5pm. Tons a pups to play with!

My dog loves coming here. But I do have a complain in regards to a dog owner. There’s an old lady with two pugs. On Thursday 9/28 I took my dog and he loves to greet everyone he unfortunately went up to this lady and she almost hit my dog and this hasn’t been the first time. My dog was playing with her dogs and when I went up to them one of the pugs had a scab with blood on his little face and it looked infected. The next day my baby boy woke up with a scab. I do not agree that if your dog is sick it should be exposed to other animals!!! There should be policies, it is not fair that healthy animals be exposed to sick ones. I’m truly upset and I will not be taking my dog until there is some enforced policies in regards to this. I understand it’s a public space but c’mon if the dog is sick it should stay home.

It's like the only dog park in Brownsville. That I know of. You can train on one half. Other half just let your dogs play. Or big dogs on one side and small on the other. It's also right next door to the Brownsville humane society.Playground: Dog park

This is a good dog park. It has water but make sure you bring your dog's water bowl. There is a lot of dog feces because people don't pick up after their dogs so watch where you step. My dog had fun and made new friends so I am happy. The park does not have shade which is strange and not very animal or people friendly. So you should go early in the morning or late in the evening. Does not have adequate lighting so I left around 9. Dogs can be off leash and run free as long as they are not aggressive.

Just moved to the area and looking for a dog park was one of the first things on my to-do list. Found this place, and it is such a nice dog park. There are agility couses for the dogs, a cute little dog kissing booth, and all the people are so nice. Very inclusive

It's the only place in the Brownsville area I feel comfortable taking my dogs off leash. There is usually a pretty good after work crowd when the weather is nice and most dogs are well behaved. There aren't any ponds as the website would have you believe, and unfortunately the two sections of the park don't have separate access points, so you need to walk through one to get into and out of the other. This can be a problem when smaller dogs are fearful of big ones or if two particular dogs need to be separated.

Great place to meet friends and let the dogs lose. Divided into small breed and large breed gated sections. Plenty of room to socially distance outdoors. 4pm till sunset is the busiest

This place has two huge open areas for dogs. This is by far the largest dedicated dog park I've been to in several cities. Kinda wish this place wasn't this far away from the city. The only downsides are the lack of shaded areas and that there really aren't that many dog play sets. They just started to add some ramps and tunnels in recent months, but to be honest they're more for the amusement of the owners who try to get their dogs to interact with them only to give up after a few tries. But it's really cool to see the continual upgrades being made here. Shows someone's dedicated to making this place better for dogs and owners alike.

Awesome place! Great people and great dogs. I could easily hang out here for hours with my dog. Huge area as well. The only thing is some people don't pick up the dog poop which is a little annoying but it's honestly not a huge deal.

Great place, Great people, and spectacular dogs! All the dogs are friendly and there is an abundance of space for dogs to run and have fun. It is also possible to train your dogs with a few of the equipment that's in the park, although they will probably be distracted by all the other dogs. Perfect place to bring your dog!

Lovely park. It is really big. It has 2 different parks. One for big dogs & one for small dogs. It is a well maintained park. They have pools and water bowls for the dogs as well.

BE CAREFUL OF AN OLDER MAN WITH TWO GREY WEIMARANERS!! Had a pretty upsetting experience today. I've been taking my dog, my sister's puppy and my mother in laws dogs for quite some time now. Today I took my dog and my sister's cute 9 month old. An older man and lady arrived with two big grey dogs that looked like weimaraners. My sister's puppy and my dog love greeting new pups and do the usual sniff that all dogs do. However as our puppy ran up to one of the dogs, the older man started yelling at the puppy to get away. It shocked me because their huge dog was also greeting our puppy kindly. He then proceeded to yell at my dog who was greeting and being greeted by the other large dog. As I was grabbing my dog, the older gentlemen began HITTING my dog with the Chuck It tennis ball holder. Upset, I told him our dogs were not harming his large dogs and as I reached down to lift my little dog, the older man hit me in the chest and face with the Chuck It tennis ball holder. I was so upset at this point and as I was asking him what his problem was, he yelled at me to keep my dogs away! I again informed him that our dogs are small and that the one he was yelling at was a puppy! I have never spoken to this older man the entire time I have been going and could not find the reason behind his attack. After going through the small dog section to the big dog section, I saw his dogs being sniffed by the only other two dogs and I saw him whack their dogs away as well. Unfortunately their owners were speaking to each other and didn't see this until later. People need to be more aware that there is a larger dog entrance at the side of the park. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, please keep your eyes on your furbabies because some people don't understand how dogs act with each other! It's sad that his dogs are sweeties but seemed far from it. Also, Please pick up your pups poop!! There are way too many poops out there! Of course my 2 stars had way more to do with the excessive amount of poops that my experience and will definitely change when its cleaner. I just wanted to let the doggy parents who go there know to watch out!

This is a decent dog park. I could use more shaded areas given that we are in south Texas and the sun and heat here is horrible. We have been visiting this park almost daily. Dogs and dog owners are very friendly and polite.

I like it here it's a lot closer than the Harlingen one but there's so much poop at this one. I just wish people would be less dirty and pick up after their dogs.

It's one of the few or maybe the only one for our furbabies and there's owners that don't clean after their furbabies. I don't go there often but this morning I took my two furbabies and I noticed a lot but a lot of poop.
