I was just in the Odessa store and needed to pick up some deck screws. There was an employee stocking the very shelf that had the screws I needed. I reached past him and said "I'm sorry" to get a box and he stepped back, put his hands on his hips and glared at me without saying a word. I again said I'm sorry to bother you and added "is everything OK?". He still did not speak a word to me and gestured with both his hands towardthe shelf as if to say "go ahead" still glaring at me because he was clearly annoyed. I told him "sorry, dude. I'm just trying to make a selection here and Ill get out of your way" at which point he turned around and walked off in an apparent huff. This whole interaction took maybe 30-45 seconds or so and he never once offered to help me find what I was looking for or make me feel in any way like my patronage was anything more than an annoyance to him. It was HANDS DOWN the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had with a Home Depot employee and it was 100% uncalled for. I was merely trying to pick a box of screws from the shelf. When I go into a store (of any kind) I don't expect to be treated like royalty, but I do expect to be treated with basic courtesy and not be made to feel like my presence is unwelcome. This employee did EXACTLY that and he did it without ever uttering a single word. Shame on you, Home Depot, for not training your employees to have even the minimal amount of customer service skills.

Only giving 2 stars because the first guy we asked for help was very helpful and nice but my whole trip turned around when I was checking out. I was trying to use a card on my phone through affirm and the first lady at checkout just said nope we don’t do that and walked away. So I went to customer service and the lady there was just as rude and dismissive saying no mam after everything I asked, instead of trying to be helpful and give me some kind of solution. Customer service is really at a low for this store. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Everything we rent from HomeDepot breaks down or doesn’t work and they still charge you for it. We rented a tractor this time, it worked for 30 minutes and we called them to tell them. Had us bring it back (an hour drive) to tell us we can rent another one but they’re still charging us for 4 hours of use! No thanks, will never rent another piece of equipment from here. Had rented a post digger (auger) and a backhoe from here also with similar problems. The post digger they gave us the wrong auger for so again 2 hr round trip to get the correct one and they charged us for that time!

If I can give it 0 I would. This was literally the worst experience. I will forever take all 5 of my pro accounts to Lowe’s and wash my hands with this place

Coming home from Wink, stopped for gas. My son went in and paid for $40 gas. The pump screen then said this pump not working. So after 10 mins and 4 employees trying to figure it out a manager came and offered to set another pump. I declined and ask for my $ back. Not even the manager knew how to refund cash and make the register happy. I told her I did not care about the register to simply remove 2 $20 bills and hand them to me and deal with the register later. That added 25 mins to my 4.5 hour trip. Went across the street and got gas, drama free!

All I can say is this company is a joke. They are letting people go, changing shifts around on people and dropping their pay AND they didn’t even give a heads up.And then threatening them that if they don’t like the change (the day of all the changes) they are expendable and have interviews already set up for new employees the next day.So sad because there are people there that have been there for YEARS! Trustworthy employees getting treated like trash! Shame on you Home Depot! Big corps are a joke. Don’t even care about their hard working employees before the holidays.

That is good to have someone helping you loading up your stuff from the shopping at the parking lot or at the loading parking area but those guys are not from Home Depot after they done helping you loading of course they expecting us to give them a tip, but it is not a good habit cuz we didn’t have cash in hand for that time so my husband need to rush me to dig for cash in the truck I found $2 but he keep pushing me to dig for more at least $5 to give to the guy. Finally, I found cash $5 in the truck to give to him.Feel appreciated for the help but at the same time feel that it is not a good practice whenever we don’t have cash in hand. Next time I go there so I need to have cash in hand for tipping to the guys there in the parking lot since our project is not done yet.I knew home deport have their own staffs whenever we ask to help on loading but Home deport themselves should have their own people ready to help to the customers for loading just to avoid the feeling like me when you don’t have cash ready

The indifference of the staff is not not noticable. It almost feels like they are annoyed by shoppers being in the way of their (re)stocking effort. Plus the beeping of the very slow moving forklift is beyond overkill.

So frustrating. Every time I approached a group of orange aproned people standing around they would scatter like cockroaches when the light is turned on in a Tijuana bar. Stood by the paint counter for a good fifteen minutes. Started off with the woman working there yelling to her manager behind us who yelled back a solution to her problem. She then disappeared without ever having addressed us at all. Husband sent me to go find a flat bed cart and to pick out some tile for our countertops. He found me in the tile section with one of the only flatbeds in the store not being used to display items, and we settle on tile. He goes to get new outlets and covers while I load the tile. Tried to pick up the tile but the box was still taped to the box leaning against the others and the front box fell on my shin. Safety hazard, but I survived. We proceeded back to the unfinished cabinets. We find what we need/want, but not in the bottom shelf where we could get it ourselves. Look around and see a group of employees standing around. One was helping another customer and the rest just talking. I walk up to get someone's attention and the bulk of them move to the break room while the one with the customer guides them away. The remaining associate looks me in the eye then takes off with the one guiding the other customer. I stand there completely dumb founded. A minute or so she walks back, sees me still standing there and starts to walk away again. After loudly saying EXCUSE ME a couple times she sighed exasperatedly and asks me what I need. I explain that we need a couple of the unfinished cabinets brought down so that we can purchase them. Right in the middle of an announcement on the overhead speaker she radios for assistance and walks away. We wait about ten minutes listening to the party going on in the break room, I go to find another employee to try again. I explained what we needed, she radioed and we stood back to wait. About five minutes later an associate approached us and asked what we needed. We told her and she assured us that someone was on their way with a man-up to assist us. We wait another 10 minutes before my husband sends me to get another cart for our smaller items. I get the cart and decide to swing by the paint department to pick up our paint. Three associates working behind the counter. After a few minutes I just grab the paint, find a couple of stir sticks and head back to cabinets. A cart full of empty boxes was blocking my way back to my husband. Why would it not at least be put against the side of the aisle so people can pass? About the time I return, they are finally blocking the aisles to get our stuff. We headed to the wood section to get what we needed to finish off our shelves. We are looking at an endcap that had just what we needed. Not two aisles away is a home depot employee stacking ladders onto a flat bed cart. We grab what we are able to reach and are looking and pointing at what we need, obviously out of our reach. He keeps looking at us but never says a word. I finally tell my hubby to go get him before he gets away. Again he begrudgingly heads over to assist. My husband again sends me on an errand, afraid that I am going to go Full-Karen on someone soon.I get the screws and meet my husband at checkout. I have only been treated like this at Home Depots (had a similar experience at the Midland store that soured me for years, up until I remarried and my new husband had a Home Depot card so that is usually where we went). I also noticed that the customer service doorbells are no longer in the store. I know my measly little purchases don't make much of a difference to a megastore like this, but I still do not deserve to be treated like this. Nothing is worse than being intentionally ignored by people just standing around. I get people need breaks, but they should be staggered so that there are still people able to assist customers. Since the door was left open I could count some of the people in there. 8 were within my line of sight and a few more I could hear.

I really do love Home Depot. They usually have everything I need and, while you might have to wander around a bit to find someone to help you, the staff is friendly and helpful and usually knowledgeable. This was the first time I have used the rental center (we were blowing new insulation into our attic) and the staff there was was quick to help work through a couple of problems and very accommodating. I will definitely be happy to rent machinery there in the future.

Home Depot! If you need a buggy to bad, got fetch it out the parking lot yourself. Not (1) lumber cart in the store. Most had their stock and junk on them in the back isles. I can’t possibly carry out 30 2x4s. Left and went to lowes.

I've never had a more miserable experience as a customer then I did here. Not only were most of the employees reluctant to do their job (this started with them giving my 58 year old dad a LADDER to pull 960lbs of salt from the top rack rather than using a forklift like they told us they were getting), the manager on duty today should have never been promoted past a cashier. His absolute disregard to the situation and watching him try to struggle his way through an excuse instead of taking responsibility for the situation was infuriating. It was also insulting to watch him give my father his undivided attention while purposely ignoring what I was saying to him even though I was the paying customer. Overall the service was slow, unprofessional, and the manager on duty is clearly not fit for the position and needs better training before leading any sort of team. Apparently this location is known for being "lazy" and unfortunately it seems to be true, cashier was nice though so there's that.

Went in looking to buy a generator found it but the one problem I had was getting someone to unlock the cage talk to one young guy told him I needed the cage unlock then he asked if I was going to buy well duh!!! Anyways went down by the cage and waited 10 maybe 15 mins then I decided to go find someone else then seen the guy I talked before he was over flirting with another employee I walked up and the girl asked if she could help I explained to her I was waiting on this guy to unlocked the cage she says aww I’m sorry so I go back to the cage and again wait more than 10 mins no one showed I did find the Assistant manager got her to open the cage personally speaking I guess my skin color wasn’t right Home Depot has really gone down hill on employees quit hiring people that don’t have brains and that are not racist!!!

I spent several hours on a Saturday in the store because I'm building a new home.My first helpful person was Bradin, he sat with me going over door options exterior and interior with so much patience.Next was Demi, she help me get my kitchen cabinets choices organized to the way I liked offering color options and backslash even down to the layout of the flooring.Last but not least was Patricia, she walked me through the appliances. We covered everything from the hood range to water heater and all that is necessary to finish off a spectacular look. Each person should receive their 5 stars individually because they each took time out of their day to help me.Thanks 😊Charlotte, New home owner.

It’s the Hone Depot. There’s not much error to say. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a Home Depot.

Does anyone actually work here? Is there a shortage of employees. Is there only one forklift certified employee that’s like the rarest Pokémon? We need answers!
