Leaving a review from the perspective of a former employee! I worked here for a few months to gain experience for my schooling. This is an extremely nice vet clinic and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new vet. The back of the clinic is clean and safe. The technician team is very experienced and knowledgeable (especially Kelly, her blood draw skills are the best I've ever seen). Dr. Johnson has a wealth of knowledge one can only possess after dedicating an entire career to veterinary medicine. Dr. Burge gives every owner the opportunity to feel heard and truly cares for your pet as much as you do. Impressive standard of practice!

We’ve seen both Dr Burge and Dr Johnson - hands down the best vet clinic we’ve ever been to and the only place I trust with our menagerie of animals. The staff is caring and attentive and the doctors will always spend time with you listening to your concerns and giving great suggestions. Prices are also VERY reasonable and they never push unneeded procedures or tests. The doctors and staff here truly care about the animals they see and treat them all like they’re family.

I found this great veterinary office, near me. Love Dr. Burge(sp). He is so kind, informative and always willing to listen.We had to change vets after 33 years so I was nervous about the change and looking for good one on one with a vet. This office checked all the boxes.

These incredible folks have become my extended family! They love and care for my furbabies just like I do. Dr. Johnson is so humble, gentle and wise that not only does he provide excellent vet care, he also explains it all to me. I feel respected and included in my babies' care! Our neighbors recommended us to Dr. Johnson at Neighborhood Pet Health Center when we were having problems with our Chihuahua/Papillon mix, she was constantly coughing and hacking. We had been to other vets and spent a good amount of money on various testing and appointments to no avail. Our first visit with Dr. Johnson was a major success. Not only is our dog not coughing and hacking all the time, she’s as happy as ever. We could not be more satisfied with our visit!

I am a new customer with them. I have a 11 week old puppy named Jack.. He is a Australian Shepherd. I've been there twice so far and they have been very helpful on keeping him healthy. I hope to be with them until Jack becomes a Senior. So far I am very happy with them.

This place is the real deal. They actually care about your dog, cat ect. I am so happy to find them . I have a 14 year old Female. And she's has Irritable bowel disease. When she gets there they love on her and make her feel safe. Dr Johnson is the best vet I've ever met. Do not hesitate to bring your fur baby there.

We started here with our dog, who has epilepsy, when our previous vets bills skyrocketed. My husband and I love the staff, they are so compassionate.We recently found out that our cat has kidney disease. Dr. Burge and Josh were so incredibly nice and sympathetic during the initial exam and also when the results came back. Everyone that I have had interactions with here have been so kind and they take the time to listen to your concerns and answer any questions. You can tell that they really care about their patients! Absolutely love that we started taking our pets here

Doc Johnson is a wonderful vet and person. My lab “BubbaD” became ill last Friday. After not getting better through the day I took him to see Doc Johnson. After an exam, ultrasound and an X-ray Doc found an unusual tumor by his spleen, kidney and/or intestine. Doc sent me immediately to the Emergency Clinic where they hospitalized Duke fearing this mass would rupture. They did an ultrasound also to have the exact prognosis as Doc Johnson, can’t tell exactly what this is. Duke had surgery yesterday to find that this mass was actually a testicle left in a neutered dog. Duke was neutered by another vet done by the breeder years before.I trust Doc Johnson implicitly with my dogs as he loves animals as much as I do, plus he’s fantastic!

I had to put my baby girl Roxie down on May 3rd. Dr. Burge walked me through exactly what was going to happen and allowed me as much time as I needed to say goodbye. He is very kind and compassionate.

We started going to Dr. Johnson 4 years ago when we had our senior rescue lab. Now we have a new little fur baby and they welcomed her the same as with our senior dog who since crossed over the rainbow bridge! If you are looking for an awesome place to take your pet, this is the place! I took my dog in with concerns of her stomach swelling and thought that maybe she had pyometra. I had never been here before, and this office was amazing!! The tech was the sweetest girl and the Vet is very knowledgeable! They could have so very easily ripped me off, but they did not at all!!! I love that I found a new Vet that I can trust with my fur babies! <3

If you and your fur babies do not know Dr. Johnson and his staff, you don't know what it's like to have a team love your pet almost as much as you do! Dr. Johnson will, literally, get on the floor and play with your pet as he gets to know them. He takes the time to get to know you and your pet and you will never leave feeling like you've been "rushed through a cattle call" after an exam. The staff always calls and checks up on my babies after any visit that isn't routine (yearly vaccines, etc.). The staff is always so friendly that I always leave with a smile on my face. Christi, the groomer, is awesome!!

I can’t recommend this office enough. My poor pup was so incredibly sick, we were spending many nights at the emergency clinic and bouncing from vet to vet (we were new to the area at the time) trying to find somebody to be his primary care. Dr. Finch was the only doctor in the area that actually 1) read all of Kiko’s medical records and 2) hear me when I told him everything that had been going on. He always called me back, answered any questions I had, and made me truly feel like we were in it together. They’ve done surgery on our other pup now and will be the only place we take our babies to. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

I have had several veterinarians since we brought home are beautiful Cavalier King Charles Prince.. are all the Vets we have experience or good none of them made us feel as comfortable with the positive results that we've experienced as we have had at this Clinic. We love our vet there dr. Johnson. The entire team of professionals provide professional and loving care for our Prince .Prince is living in Bryan College Station but when my other have told me that he has been drinking excessive amounts of water and not feeling well I hadn't brought all the way to this Clinic because I knew his history I knew he would receive the best care I knew they already knew him and cared about him and cared about us. He had a vet in Bryan College Station but we were just not comfortable with him. Which is really a shame considering the great accolades that Texas A&M is known for from there veterinary school. Regardless we got Prince to the clinic on Monday and he was diagnosed with what we thought he had which is diabetes. The treatment began immediately and we've already seen positive results amazingly and just a short time. Thank you so much God for this Clinic the wonderful people there. I have truly touched my heart and every time I leave there I know they've done their best. I would have been totally lost without the direction of our doctor there and the loving touch from all the assistance and staff thank you all!

I live 2 hours away & was in town visiting friends for the weekend; when my puppy had a major eye issue flair up. Not only was the staff beyond courteous but they went out of their way to help.I showed up on Saturday with no appointment & Dr. Johnson was full. Regardless of this, his staff spoke to him and he happily agreed to see me once he finished with his already scheduled patients. This means, Dr. Johnson, and other staff members voluntarily chose to stay late after, his office was closed in order to help me and my puppy! They were in NO WAY required to see me and could have easily sent me away or directed me to an animal hospital/ after hours emergency care vet!Once in Dr. Johnson's office, he was AMAZING! I had been going around & around with the vets in my area trying to diagnose/resolve this reoccurring & disturbing eye issue. Dr. Johnson who was already staying late, did not just do a quick one over on my puppy and send us out the door! He spent well over an hour REALLY looking at my son, explaining what he thought was happening to me, & running some tests! Sure enough the one visit with Dr. Johnson was more beneficial than the 7+ I had with other vets in my area!Finally, at the end of my spectacular visit with Dr. Johnson, I told him I would like to stay on as his patient & would happily drive the 2 hours to see him for the quality of care that he provided! Once again, he was more generous to me than he had to be. Instead he informed me, he would happily take me as a client but, a woman whom he mentored & trained under him for years opened up an office closer to my town; then he offered to go ahead & line everything up with her to setup my care there! And finally, 1 full exam, 2 tests later, 2 hours after closing, 3 staff members overtime, & 2 prescriptions later, I walked out of his office with a DIAGNOSIS for the FIRST time & paying less than the vets in my area charge per visit!I never write reviews but Dr. Johnson and his staffed overwhelmed me in such a good way with their level of service that I felt compelled to tell others about my experience!

I can’t say enough about this Vet Clinic!!! They care!!! They are so caring and thoughtful & will work with you & do whatever is necessary to help your pet! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! We began taking our dogs to see Dr. Johnson last year after being referred by a friend. Each and every visit (and there have been a lot!) has been a pleasant experience – from the caring demeanor of his staff and vet techs to Dr. Johnson himself. Dr. Johnson takes take to love on your babies each time you come in, and I especially appreciate how thorough he is when explaining causes, effects, results, and treatment options for my pets. I am so thankful to have found a comprehensive veterinarian that our entire family loves!

We have used Neighborhood Pet Health Center for 9 years. Dr. Johnson and his entire staff are the best. Along with their extensive expertise and knowledge they are extremely caring and empathic. Last year we lost our dog to cancer and they were so warmhearted and condolatory that it somehow made the worst thing ever more tolerable. When we got a new puppy they were extremely helpful with his socialization process. I can't say enough about Kelli (the vet tech) and the entire technician staff. The front desk crew is compassionate, competent and overall a joy to deal with. They will treat your animal as if he/she were their own. Don't hesitate to use this office for your babies.
