I loved this Dollar General for several years but sadly have watched this store become more and more unorganized in the last year. Shelves are empty while there's carts full of boxes to be unloaded all around the store. I don't know if it's a company issue as to why they can't keep good help or what. There's a couple long time employees but other than that there's new faces weekly. They just don't seem to stay very long.

What can I say? They were open on Thanksgiving which was great for us, being on the road and running out of toilet paper but unfortunate for the employees who have to work it. I apologize for shopping here that day and reinforcing your company's disregard for holidays as a day to spend with family and friends.

Huge selection at this dollar store. I would furnish my home decor out of here. There are so many cool rugs and pillows. Food selection is awesome along with fresh fruit.

This store has always been a bit run down and messy looking, but today..oh my lands. Merchandise everywhere on the floor and I'm assuming, the manager was not being very nice to the cashier. Dont know either names, no name tags. Yelling across the store at another employee about an error made on sales add concerning phones. Very unprofessional. Cashier was nice enough, not very attentive to customer, because too busy interacting with the other person..manage maybe... about getting stock put up.

Handy store for picking up small purchases. It is way crowded on the inside though, hard to get up and down the aisles and even into the store there are so many stack outs. Not their fault, I used to work for dollar general and corporate crams the stores with a lot of merchandise. The staff here is ok.

To be honest, I wouldn't even rate it one star. There is way too much clutter everywhere and dirt all on the floor. Even though most of the employees are nice, no one bothers to clean a thing. I see more employees sit outside and smoke rather than working. Probably will call management and see if they can get this location shut down until they can find some people willing to clean.

The best experience I have ever had. The staff was helpful and friendly. Made moving my stuff into storage easy. I would recommend this place hands down above the rest of the storage facilities in the area. Thanks for making this move so easy and no stress!!!

If you use a wheelchair, have mobility issues or practice social distancing - AVOID this store. The "remodel" here meant adding coolers and produce, but narrowing the aisles. This was a problem before the remodel, because they always left things in the aisles (and I don't mean the customers). I've only seen 1 employee wear a mask properly and now that the aisles are so narrow, there is NO way to distance yourself. The store is also very dirty. I will only go here now when no other options are available. Sad, because I actually like checking stuff out there.

It's gotten better since that one manager is gone. She was rude. She wouldn't say hi or nothing. I ask her one time where something was and she mumbled something. But I love this store, it's my favorite store. I'm glad they got new management

I avoid this place at all cost! It's super filthy and they NEVER have what you are looking for. I find it funny that every other one does, makes me think they just leave the inventory in the back... as not to stock the store. The line is always out the door. Managers point to others to get the work done when they clearly can help. This store is in shambles and really needs to clean house starting with the DM! Pitiful

Very courteous staff.its a small town store. It the staff takes there job serious.if you want t to shop and be around nice friendly cou try folks..its the best dollar General in the area. It if you go in with foolishness on your mind.they will be watching.I would suggest that you just keep on going

When someone you know stole from there you get band from there bc of what that person did and my grandma been going there over 15 year never had a problem and one person your whole family get band they won't let you pay for what that person stole

My husband and kids just went in there and were not only profiled but disrespected by the store manager. We will never shop in this location again. 😑

It was stocking day, but the staff remained friendly and helpful. Store is in a good location and many people shop here. My "go to" when I forget things on the way home.

Well horrible. When I approached the check out line there was an abundance of off duty workers talking behind the counter. How was I supposed to know they were off duty. Don't worry they informed me when I asked hey where are the matches were They promptly replied with...... I am off the clock you will have to ask her. The only girl working at the checking out line with a line of customer.Typical worthless customer service. Sorry dollar general. It's not you it's them.

If you have no other options, go ahead and stop by. But be prepared to hunt. There is only one employee and she does not have time to stock shelfs, put stuff away, clean up or help you find anything.

In a small town Dollar General has most everything I need. More convenient than driving further to Kroger and such. Prices are great also.

Hey, I just went to New Waverly dollar general. After shopping walked out to truck and a Walker county sheriffs deputy waiting. I learned a new law C.T.W. Criminal trustpassing warning. The manager, we’ll call Red, said “the last time my 53 year old friend and I (51) was moving stuff around “. I asked what does that mean. He replied that what he was told. I don’t understand!! I wanted more info/see tapes. I am so embarrassed. If I go to that that store again I’ll be arrested. Red could have said something. The same store that was shut down for weeks because a large rat problem. But that’s just what I heard. I’ll finish this on face book etc

Went to the store 2 different times and the store was so hot I could not shop. The staff was so nice and kept apologies. I go to this store at least once a week. No person should work in that conditions.

The unique part of living in a small town is that most everyone knows each other, so were you shop, you are bound to see someone you might know or haven't seen for awhile. Plus you can get what you are looking for.

The manager in this location is an idiot. She forced a vetran with a SERVICE DOG to leave because he didn't have paperwork.. this is absolutely disgusting and illegalI hope this lady is personally fined, as well as the company. This is absolutely unacceptableTexas disability act:::Provides that people with disabilities may not be required to show proof of certification for their service animal. Public establishments may only ask if the service animal is required because the person has a disability and what type of work the service animal is trained to perform.Requires public facilities and common transportation carriers to admit a person with a disability accompanied by a service dog for assistance and also to admit a trainer of service dogs accompanied by a dog for training purposes.Provides a criminal penalty for those who deny access to people with disabilities because of an assistance animal. Offenses are punishable by fines of not more than $300 and 30 hours of community service.

Eh...it's a dollar store. What do you expect? It is not fancy. It is cluttered. It could be cleaner. The cashier was nice, and the prices are low.

Dollar General is convenient and shopping is easy. Prices aren’t too bad if you use your DG coupons.
