We took out 10 month old in for training with Ms. Julie. He’s a large breed, so naturally he’s strong. Aside from learning how to implement basic commands, she taught us effective ways to walk him without having to worry about him pulling. Another thing we learned was understanding his body language and how to proceed according to it. There is so much more when it comes to the behavior and well being of a dog, that without the proper training one can struggle. We do not worry about him running out the door if it is open, and recall was definitely something that improved 100%.. Overall, he improved tremendously and we did too. We loved the communication pathway Ms. Julie established with us, she listened to all of our concerns and ensured we worked on the ones that were priority to us. She tailored the program to our needs, not only did she provide us with verbal instructions but she gave us print outs as well to read and practice with the exercises at home. We definitely will return to continue with the program with Ms. Julie, once he’s ready for the next stage. Money and time well invested!TikTok @corsopitbull (Jojo Corso)

Went in store today to get a bearded dragon, and the employee who helped us went ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Out of his way to make sure we found absolutely everything we needed and what was best for our new pet!! He help us figure out how to car for the pet, the diet, schedules, and best things to create a habitat! This employees name is Rey and he was awesome!!!

Five stars just don’t seem like enough for our trainer, Julie, at New Caney Valley Ranch PetSmart! She is amazing, really amazing! We have learned SO much from her, things I wish I’d known when I was training our now two year old Corgi. She has done wonders for our free spirited now nine month old Corgi. I would hope that if you are in need of a trainer, you would give Julie a try. If cost is a problem, the price at PetSmart is reasonable, and you can pay in four payments. As with any trainer, you’ll have to do your homework, but with Julie you will learn SO much. I’ve studied training methods of the Dog Whisperer, Zac George, and many others, and they are good, but Julie is just as good, and better than some of them. Give her a try, you won’t regret it!

The store is clean, and the staff is friendly, but my experience with the grooming salon on Tuesday, 12/19/23 was pretty bad. I usually take my cat to Petco in Kingwood to get her claws trimmed and soft claws applied. They have always done a great job and have no problems with her. They provide the soft claws, included in the price I pay for the trim and application service (which is cheaper than the same service at PetSmart, AND I had to buy my own soft claws product at an additional $15.) Unfortunately, the Petco salon was booked, so I decided to try PetSmart. The groomer arrived late for the appointment, and was not capable of performing the service. She called me and told me that she couldn't get my cat out of her carrier, even though the top can literally be removed. She called again and said that my cat was hissing at her and scratched her. Well... she's a CAT. The groomer at Petco uses special gloves for when the animals are reluctant to be handled. The groomer actually declined to apply the softclaws product that I had purchased, but did manage to get her trimmed. She was very nice, but definitely needs more training. Cats hiss. Cats scratch. If she is incapable of dealing with them, them she should not be booking appointments for cats.

Wonderful place. I used to work at several different locations selling dog food for a different company. Extremely helpful staff. Just wish they had something in place for people that find strays that need to be adopted out or cared for or need medical attention at no cost to the community or the person who finds an animal such as this. I believe if big companies could put back some of the profits to help stray or abandoned animals. It would be such a better world to live in.. let's start an initiative for people who rescue animals to have a place to bring them to. PetSmart should provide some sort of system for people who take care of their animals or even take in rescues for some reward benefactor. Then it wouldn't be so popular to dump dogs!! Shame on those people. God put us here to Shepherd THE ANIMALS. NOT TO ABANDON OR ABUSE THEM OR NEGLECT THEM. PEOPLE NEED HELP WITH THE COST OF EVERYTHING. EVEN MORE SO OUR ANIMALS TO BE SAFE AND HEALTHY. THEY ARE Sentient BEINGS AND FEEL THE SAME FEELINGS WE HUMANS FEEL. THEY FEEL SORROW. THEY FEEL ANXIETY WHEN THEIR PERSON IS GONE. THEY JUST WANT TO BE LOVED SO MUCH! LETS GET SMART ABOUT OUR PETS.. AND ACTUALLY LIVE UP TO YOUR NAME PETSMART!! LETS CREATE A REVOLUTION! AND CHANGE HISTORY. BE THE TOP DONATOR TO A PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES HELPING THOSE THAT HAVE THE HEART TO HELP SUFFERING ANIMALS. THEN ILL GIVE. You five stars. !!

This location is always clean and the staff is always so pleasant, professional and courteous. They are always willing to help find exactly what we need for all of our animals. Kudos to the staff for making our visit so awesome. Makes all the difference in the world! We will surely make this location one of our number one stores for getting everything we need for our animals. Even when we order online, picking up our items is always a smooth process, as well. Overall, great experience. :)

My daughter and I loved the store. We went looking for Beta fish. There were several options ranging from 3.99 to 19.99. The store was clean and employees were very nice and helpful. We will be returning.

Literally watched the employee *tossing* the Beta fish into their ‘containers’ in such an unprofessional and inhuman manner. It really disturbed my spirit, and felt I should mention to someone higher up, when I then proceeded to watch their management act the same way with multiple animals. I guess that is just what they do. keep your eyes open, and don’t be afraid to speak for those who can’t!

I love to shop petsmart in New Caney TX. But I went to buy live crickets, but they were out. Was told they would be in the next day so come back after 11. Not the service I am a custom to in that store.

There was a short line to get some feeder fish for a friend. There were two staff members working in the department, and they were super friendly and helpful. Their service made up for the wait! Checking out went very swiftly!

Besides typical reviews of petsmart being overpriced and such, I had a reasonable experience. They had the exact stuff I was looking for so that was perfect. Our cashier, however, was very distracted. She tried to give me the items for free because she neglected to scan them. Everything I asked her she completely ignored because she was staring off at other dogs throughout the store.

Customer service is key. They lack it all together. The line was extremely slow the man I asked to get crickets was rude and said I'm going on break and left. We waited in the long line for the check out lady to be rude to us and tell us she doesn't get crickets we will have to wait for someone else got three dozen crickets one third or a dozen was dead. We had to wait in line again which got extremely long and when we checked out the lady was rude again. This one isn't our first visit with similar attitudes. Time before that the lady had killed half the fish and gave us sick fish I made a complaint and the ne t we came in we was serviced by the lady we made the compliant about she was rude n smart with us. I'd go to different pet stores than this one.

The store is clean and air conditioned. Well lit. The shelves are always stocked with a wonderful variety of products. The employees are all so very nice and quite helpful and polite. Huge parking lot. Plenty of clean shopping carts available.
