I’ve had my little yorkie mix groomed by Leighton a few times now. He always does such a great job on the cut, and my dogs fur turns out so soft. He also usually calls me the day of to let me know I have the option of an earlier time slot if I want. So that’s convenient ☺️

I'm grateful for the friendly and helpful staff as I was purchasing harnesses and leashes for my unsuspecting kitties and have ZERO knowledge of what I was doing. Thanks to a sweet young lady working there I was able to get the harness on one kitty although I must admit I've been unable to utilize the equipment and my kitties are not happy with me! 😀

Pet Smart is a great place for pet grooming. My Sadie is a rescued dog and Alix is very gentle and patient with her.

Brandon was so nice and helpful! I originally had said no thanks to my receipt but as I was leaving he stopped me to let me know there was a good deal on it! I really appreciate Pet Smart and people like Brandon for looking out for their customers!

I had my golden groomed by Mark and he did a superb job at an extremely reasonable price! Tex can be a little shy but he warmed right up to Mark and didn’t hesitate to go in the salon with him. The store itself is well stocked at all times and associates are always friendly. We love our neighborhood petsmart!

I always love going to this Pet Smart. Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. I had someone there who I would talk to all time about our dogs while I was checking out- he's always so nice. I've never met anyone there who didn't seem like they loved animals. Lastly, I used the groomers upon my last visit, and they did a great job with my one year old shih tzu. He always comes out wagging his tail when we visit.

My husband and I took our 2 babies info a bath and nail clippings. Long story short, one of our dogs could not stay long as she was having her seizures which she is taking medication for and is heartbreaking for us. In speaking with the amazing employee Cindy, she proceeded to explain about a product that helped animals in her family. Out of desperation and knowing that fireworks were coming as it is the 4th of July, we grabbed some. As my husband waited in the truck with gin our dog while waiting for shilo to finish up with his grooming, gin was pacing all over the truck, my husband gave gin 2 chews and not 20 minutes later she was calm! It was the most amazing thing we have experienced during this horrible seizure journey. From the bottom of our hearts, we would love to recognize and say thank you to Cindy from the Creekside location for caring enough to want to help. We will never forget this day and most definitely never forget you 🖤

Grooming is terrible here. I picked up my dog and they shaved him so bad. I have never seen a bad haircut with him u til coming here. The bottom of his tummy was shaved incorrectly. It looked like the groomer was rushing the whole process. They didn’t even clean his teeth nor his ears. DONT Come here. The groomers have no love for the dogs. As I walked in I can see the groomer (Kathleen) just yanking on the dog I felt so bad.

The inventory is chalk full of choices in every product category. Dog food for every imaginable size, age, breed, and sensitivity. The rewards program is a but stingy, but you will eventually earn a few bucks for a discount on purchase.

35 out of 40 bettas dead! I donate on the card machine every time I buy something here over all the years I’ve shopped at various Petsmart locations , you’d think some of that could go towards suitable individual tanks for the bettas. Get 10-15 small individual tanks and stock those, they will live longer and you won’t have 35 dead floating, some rotting, bettas. I’ve seen great set ups for bettas at local fish stores who don’t have a fraction of the money Petsmart does, it’s not hard to be done.I know they’re just fish, but it’s cruel having them in the tiny cups, and stocking 40 betta for a small town with Petsmarts 13 miles north and 20 miles south. If you’re going to do that, just don’t sell them. Definitely don’t order and stock FORTY bettas, that obviously don’t sell often enough for THIRTY-FIVE of them to be dead. Whoever is doing the ordering needs to be retrained.It’s also pretty disgraceful for management and staff to allow that many dead bettas to be displayed on the big shelf right when you walk in. Gives Petsmart a bad name, makes you look bad. I hope corporate does something about this, doubt they will, because $$$$ :/ This location already has tons of bad reviews. Get it together.Over supply, no demand is not how the saying works.Cashier was nice, but 35/40 dead bettas takes away the stars he would’ve gotten.The containers that look empty aren’t, the beta is just dead on the bottom.Do better please.

Took my pup here for a bath and nail grind. MacKenzie was super nice and attentive to what I wanted for my pup. She was super patient with him also since he is a recent rescue. Definitely recommend and will be returning!

Brought my doggo into the groomers here 2 days ago for a bath, defurring and nail trim. When we picked her up she came out terrified and limping. She is a bit of a drama queen so I thought she was overreacting to the new groomers, however 2 days later and she still had a slight limp and mood is deffinately still recovering from something. Never had this issue before, might have been the weekend (Sunday) crew, but, never going back here again? What did you do to my dog? For reference we took her to the PetCo in San Marcos (where we previously lived) and the PetSmart in Kyle before that, never had issues. Always came home a happy pretty girl, this time it was like she was suffering from PTSD. My review, NEVER take your pets to the groomers here. Somethings wrong and we're never going back.

Clean and well stocked but I had to give it 2 stars because it’s a pet store and saw way too many dead fish to count. Bets fist are first ones you see and several were dead. Fish tanks had many dead fish. Sad.

They had what I was looking for, but not a large selection of dog coats or vests at this time. Otherwise, there was plenty of food options to include what we needed for our pets dietary needs.

I have never given a one star without receiving service but here I am. I have a senior large dog (16 yrs). Her nails have gotten to a place I needed help and since I live nearby and saw there is a walk-in option for nail trim. I decided to take advantage and load her into the car (no easy feat!) I am a single mom that works full time so as most my time is limited. I bring her to the back and the sign on the door (as online) said Sunday 8-6. The door was open but no one is around. I left my kid with her because she moved very slowly and getting about is not easy. I tracked down one employee, I asked about the grooming and they radioed someone. Then she said “the grooming is closed for the day” without even looking at me and immediately turned and walked off. I found someone else and tried to ask how to know the grooming hours of operation. She said “I think it’s on the door” and I said “yes it says 8-6 and no one is there” she said “well if they don’t have a lot of appointments they leave for the day”. This is advertised online as a WALK-IN option. Do not advertise there is a walk-in option if you are going to randomly close! Petsmart needs to look into the management of this store and why the employees are so jaded and could not care less about the customers. I’m not all about “the customer is always right” I have worked retail many years, I get it. But I was having a hard time maintaining my calm by the shear lack of any concern, something is going on. Either it’s complete lack of training or they are tired of customer complaints about the groomer.

Rebecca the “manager on duty” needs her head checked. Went in the store to purchase a single gold fish. We have 3 aquariums that have plants and have been set up for over 4 years. She refused to sell us a gold fish. At first our water would be too cold, then it wouldn’t acclimate, then we didn’t have enough gallon in our aquarium. She simply REFUSED to sell us a gold fish. Not a koi. A $0.22 gold fish. I will not return.

I was moderately pleased with my grooming experience. My cat was clean and nails were trimmed, but she was damp on pickup (she didn't take to the dryer) and just looked messy. You hope your pret will look amazing when you pick then up, and mine didn't.

The experience was okay. The CSR that assisted when we got our African Dwarf Frog could have been a little more providing with information or knowledge. Instead they handed me a clipboard and I figured it out on my own.

This clinic misdiagnosed 2 of my dogs. One of those babies crossed the 🌈 bridge this week. The other one had a UTI that they said was cancer. Now because they misdiagnosed her, she has a bad kidney infection. That could have been avoided along with the massive $$$ bill.

Megan (MJ) has taken such good care of my little Koda and has been patient with him. He gets anxious but she takes her time and doesn't over stress Koda. When I pick him up he does not show signs of being mistreated. And he looks so good. Koda is a yorkie/chihuahua mix. MJ will be koda's groomer for as long as she remains working at this particular petsmart.

Great place to find everything pet related but this specific Petsmart seems to be low on fish everytime I go. Still, a great collection and the only place in New Braunfels to get pet related products and services.

Ever have that moment where you buy something and don’t think you need the receipt so trash it then suddenly find you need to return it? That was me this week. After a visit to Banfield to get my kitty well again, a diet change was recommended after I had just purchased her more food. With an incredible amount of patience and sympathy, the attendant was very understanding when I brought the unused food back and without the receipt. A Manager was brought in and I was able to get a refund back to a PetsMart gift card which allowed me to turn around and buy the new food my fur child needed. I’m so grateful for their help and understanding and will definitely keep shopping here. Excellent customer service!

Took my shihtzu pup for a groom. He looks the same. I understand puppies take time to get used to everything but $94 for a bath, blow dry and nail trim??? I wanted his hair cut down and face cleaned up but couldn’t because he “was not happy” with his face being messed with. I’ve taken him elsewhere and they were able to take care of him just fine.

PetSmart employees are going beyond the present standard. They are doing an excellant job even though there are less of them on the floor compared to 5 years ago. PetSmart appears to have stepped up their employee training. Quality over quantity won me over and I will shop at PetSmart again soon .
