Went in today after a long day of work to pick up dinner. I grabbed my two items and went to check out. Upon check out the cashier scanned my first item and just threw it down the conveyer belt. There was a level of arrogance with the employee that was insulting and disrespectful. Couple that attitude with the high prices the store has and it’s no wonder why other grocery stores stay packed while this place is perennially empty. From this point on I will deal with the crowds of H-E-B or Walmart even if it is for only two items.

Great people, fast service, market basket has items heb does not. I shop both but I’d rather shop these local or state grocery stores then go to Walmart a worldwide corporation.

SmokeHouse products are excellent. More expensive than other nearby stores, so shop their sales. Not as jammed packed with other shoppers. Staff always friendly and helpful. I'll pay extra not too have too fight my way through crowds.

Been shopping here for 15 years. They are always friendly and helpful. You may pay a penny or two more but it is worth it. The pharmacy is wonderful. The deli is great.

I would have given them a 5 except their prices were higher than most places I shop. Also, I did not like the way the green grapes had spoiled in the bags. They were out of the sale items but overall a very nice, clean store. I like hearing the music as I shopped and their plants were pretty and nicely arranged. Friendly staff, this was my second time in the store and I probably will be going back.

The cashiers are quick and friendly. The meat department is very helpful and clean. Amazing and very helpful produce department. The floral department manager is rude and unhelpful and her flower arrangements are sub-par and overpriced by far. The bakery manager is rude, and their hot food is greasy and burnt. The cake decorator is very talented.

Great if you need to get in, get what you need, and get out. A friendly staff makes the experience much more tolerable than going to some of the bigger stores. The prices are a bit higher than others, but I consider this a convenience tax. Overall, my favorite grocery store in the area.

Out of convenience, we shop here often for little quick trips. You can find good meat specials and the reduced/quick sale area in produce is great. Otherwise It's a little pricey. If we're going on a large grocery run, we'll usually go to HEB instead.

Twice I have been to MB first time deli told me they stopped cutting meat at 7 pm last night I went back at 6:30 pm and was told again that they stopped cutting meat at 5:30 pm. Very disappointing

Been an HEB shopper for years but it's such a big store and sometimes parking can be an issue so I've been shopping at Market Basket. I found some good specials and some very nice employees. Tara & Jordan at front end & Austin in grocery dept. 👍

Love their breakfast friendliness and cleanliness. People have alot to say about port neches... but you will NOT encounter any such unwelcoming atmosphere here... and im in this store probably 3 to 4 times week

This store is more expensive than others in the area, however the staff and customer service is top notch. The pharmacy is the best in town. Matt is always very kind and helpful.

Great local supermarket. Decent prices and nicely convenient for shopping with out having to venture out to the big corporate caverns that are now considered grocery stores. I think that it's great to shop LOCALLY and support our community.

We lived in Groves for a couple of years and would drive to this Market Basket to shop. It is cleaner and the people just seem to be in a better mood. Plus they seem to have everything in Stock all the time.

The prices are commonly stipulated in the fine print. There are often stipulations that are not even printed. Do not use your WIC here. I thought that I had learned which brands to get, but it seems to be different every time. I have no trouble at walmart doing the same shopping, but I get a different story every time I get to the register and last time I was made to pay for $8 in items clearly marked as wic. When I spoke to the manager, he refused to help based on the fact that I walked a few steps out the door before noticing.

Great place to go for items you need quick. Not the place to go and by a whole lot of gro. And save money at. Pretty expensive, however the staff are very nice.

If you like a good breakfast, then go to their deli area in the morning. Eggs, Bacon, Biscuits to die for, Hashbrowns, etc.

I went their to buy a King Cake and I found it. They are delicious there. Market Basket stores are always so clean and you can always get in and out so fast.

Always check your expiration dates, they very often carry expired products. Other than that, I enjoy shopping here. The employees are polite and professional.

Great place to buy the basics, but can be costly. More expensive than Wal-Mart or HEB. They do have a great produce section, not as good as HEB, but better than Wal-Mart.
