My complaint is not about the store. I love Kroger's & the wonderful deals & quality I can get there, but tonight we bought Kroger Deluxe Spumoni ice cream. The chocolate is good, but the cherry part is very artificial tasting & the pistachio has no flavor & no nuts. Very disappointed.

I have noticed that in the evenings… the service and the employee’s attitude changes at the Kroger on university.. I’ve noticed this for awhile and tonight I was there about 5:30. I walked in and one of the ladies that gathers the groceries for p/u was cursing and one of the managers was yelling back at her. I noticed that there was one checkout lane open and no employee around to checkout customers. I went to the self-checkout and a nice young man came over to help with the purchase of a bottle of wine. He was the only employee that took notice of customers. There were 6 employees standing in front of the customer service area being loud and cutting up. One of employees was a manager. As I left to exit the store, I noticed a lady that had gone through theOne lane that was open for checkout. Her groceries were half bagged and she was bagging the rest of them herself. No one was there to finish bagging her groceries and put in the buggy for her. The same 6 employees still standing in the same spot being loud and cutting up. I have stood for several mins being the only customer at the self-checkout waiting for an employee to ID me for a bottle of wine while employees stood around goofing off. I have become irritated many times trying to get help or checked out.I’ve asked the bakery dept for help with items that the Kroger on North St normally have on hand. I get told to either go buy it there or if they had more help, the selection would be better.It’s not always been a bad experience shopping at the Kroger on University. But I noticed for several months that I have seen a decline in customer service and employee work ethics. I prefer to shop at the Kroger on University, b/c I do not like getting in and out of the parking lot on North St.

This is the comment I sent to Kroger. My wife and I visited the store on University Drive in Nacogdoches, TX on August 20 at 4:30 pm to make a return. We were told by "Ray Ray" that the cashier on aisle 3 could help us. We went to aisle 3 and she pointed to the booth which was closed. I told her we were told by Ray Ray, who was at the self checkout aisle that, that she could help us. Then she sent us to aisle 1 after picking up the phone briefly. Then the cashier at aisle 1 didn't know how to do a return and called Ray Ray over there. I tried to tell Ray Ray that he had sent us to someone who didn't know how to do a return. I was just trying to tell him that he shouldn't tell someone that unless he knew they could do a return. He totally ignored me when I was trying to tell him about this and just tried to solve the problem and get us out of the store quickly. I could tell he didn't want to hear about it. I work at a store and if I give someone the wrong information I at least apologize. Considering the fact that y'all hire young people, you need to teach them some communication skills and that they need to listen to criticism even if they don't like it. I don't really want to go back to that store because of that experience. You guys do have competition and also the fact that the only guy there who knew how to do returns only reluctantly helped after we had been to two other people shows that you have a lack of training in that location. My wife also told me that he didn't scan one of the items so she has to go back to the store. He was in a rush to get us out of the store and had an attitude. That's why he made that mistake and I don't appreciate it. You need to train your employees that they need to find the answer to a question or find someone who does and take the time to do it. They need to admit to the customer they need help and even leave their post to find someone if necessary. I often see them standing around at the other Kroger, just joking and laughing with each other and not even opening up lanes when it gets busy and there's a long line. You really need to hire better workers ,communicators with more maturity. I spend a lot of money at your store and WalMart is starting to look pretty good right now. Also, you might look into the source of your avocados because yours always go from green straight to rotten after I have them at home while WalMarts avocados seem to ripen perfectly. I would actually rather go to an HEB but there is not one in this town. Really getting fed up with your employees and their lack of customer service

The worst Kroger I have ever been to. I really get the vibe that it is a dying store. It just needs to go ahead and close. IF IT IS ON SALE THEY WONT HAVE IT! When I walked in today a wave of heat hit me. It was so hot and unbearable, really makes you get in and out, with no time to spend extra $ looking around. ALL OF THE PRODUCE WAS MOLDY! I picked up strawberries, onions, tomatoes, and they all had mold. The meat section wasn’t any better, no selection, every thing is always sold out. The COVID excuse is over, actually stock. The people saying it is always stocked have not been there recently. FYI after about noon you are expected to check yourself out. While you are checking yourself out, check the dates on your items, i almost always find something out of date.

My favorite grocery store in Nac! It might be smaller than many of the others, but they're always stocked well, organized, and have the friendliest staff. When I pick up orders, they're always correct at this location!

Not having cashier's make this place trashy. I had to spend 3 times as long putting my 1 dollar bills through the stupid robot because Kroger is to cheap to hire a cashier when there were 3 "cashiers" at the self check out.

I've said countless times that I'm going to give up on this location. I've never had issues with the employees I have interacted with, they have always been pretty friendly and have been helpful. There are a few in particular that I encounter quite frequently that I really enjoy for their outgoing and positive attitudes. My real issue is with the produce area. It is seriously a disaster. I am always so frustrated and disappointed, I think the only reason I come back here is simply for the nice employees and the convenient location. But holy crap, the produce is just pathetic. I'm sorry, but please get it together. Every single time I visit they either have at least two or three of the items I need out of stock or the selection is just sad...so utterly depressing. Things are molding, overripe, severely bruised, and so on. It really is ridiculous. The only reason I gave the location two stars is because of the employees who have kept me from throwing the already bruised and crappy produce off the stands and onto the floor out of frustration each time I walk into the store...because that is where it belongs. I mean, at least discount it for goodness sake.

This location is less congested then that of the North St. location. Staff is always personable and positively polite. They greet not only me but my children as well. Not to mention my children are always given a sticker or piece of sugar free candy (on occasion) when we leave. Store is clean and easy to navigate given they haven't upgraded their location as the other one located on North St. There are no self-check out registers however the clerks are fast and efficient so there isn't a need.

It's a nice store. I applaud there energy conservation, but evidently they don't want customers that come in late in the evening to be able to see what they are buying. I was there at 11pm and glad I had the flashlight on my phone to read the labelsGood quality produce and meats, the store is clean and the workers are very friendly.

The only reason I didn't give this place a 1 star review is because they are clean and we'll stocked.Every time I've been here I've been disappointed. From dog food that was literally $10 higher than the exact same amount of the exact same brand at Walmart, to no register accepting cash when I've watched the person in front of me pay with it, to them straight up lying to me, this place is horrible.Last time I paid a visit I called 3 HOURS AHEAD to insure that the money services desk would be open. Got told it would be open until 8:00 PM, then proceeded to walk a mile to get there at 5:00 PM only to be told they had closed money services hours earlier! So... Who lied to me on the phone?I will not be back again. This place is a joke, please don't spend your hard earned money here.

We go to Kroger almost every week. My wife gets coupons from the store on several items which helps on our bill. It's a great store and the employees are friendly and very helpful.

I've been shopping there for years. It doesn't seem to have the heavy traffic, however at certain times of the day. I like Kroger on University Dr. they are a smaller. If you get coupons from Kroger, the products might not be available on University Dr. The cashiers are consistently polite and have great patience with all the customers.😁

I love my Kroger. Great employees and great prices. Make sure to get a Kroger card and use it for more savings and points towards free gas. Kroger's own brands will save money without compromising quality. Want coupons? Kroger will send you some based on your shopping habits. Be sure to watch the mail for yours.

Went into the store at the last minute to get a birthday cake. The Baker Cassie was already leaving for the day. That didn't stop her from putting all of her stuff down so she could assist me and take the time to decorate the cake I wanted. Fantastic Customer Service..THANK YOU

Their Simply Truth milk is sour most of the time, even when the date on the carton has not passed, so I have to go to Walmart instead when I need milk. Other than this there aren't any major complaints.

Old, cramped, minimally stocked, outrageous meat prices. Seems there were fewer items to choose from compared to last visit in February. Has anyone noticed that East Texas has the old stores and larger cities such as Houston or Dallas have nice new huge stores, such as Kroger and HEB, every ten miles or closer. Why are we expected to shop at these old small stores when customers in large cities are rewarded with an excellent shopping experience.

Even though there are several different options for grocery shopping nearby, the Kroger on University continues to keep and gain regular shoppers.The personal service is what sets this location apart. The employees always greet you, ask if they can help you, etc.The store was recently remodeled and is clean and well lit.

I like Kroger. Great selection, well stocked, but still small enough to get in and out of, quickly. Also, very important to me, good, fresh produce. Nice, clean department, too. Usually a good selection of reduced items, in most departments. I used to do my grocery shopping at Walmart, so I could pick them up while shopping for general merchandise. That way I only had to make one trip. But, now, Walmart (North st) is such a mess, I'd rather make two trips, and Kroger makes that worthwhile.

Rented a Rug Doctor for 24 hours on Monday. Called the next day asking for an extension and repeatedly asked over the phone if this was okay to do over the phone, if I would need to pay for an extra day, and if who I was on the phone with would need any information from me other than what was taken the day I rented it. The woman on the phone said, no, that I would not be charged an extra day and that on my information sheet she would simply changed the dates of my rental and return due date. Today I turned in the Rug Doctor and Doris in customer service treated me with attitude. She asked if anyone told me that I would be charged an extra day and if I even knew it was due yesterday. Her demeanor was unkind. I told her about my phone experience, to which she responded sharply, "Why would you think you wouldn't be charged?" And she then proceeded to point a finger at a young woman worker in aisle three to point blame that she may have told me wrong. I didn't care who told me incorrectly, and I don't like that she was quick to blame another. She then tried to tell me what the rules were, which I already knew, so I asked that she would ask her other employees to be clear next time and not to lead a customer that she was okay to reserve and extra day. I don't feel like Doris talked to me like a "number 1 customer service" employee would do.

I have shopped with Kroger for years. I'm sure everyone likes saving money, which I do by shopping here, not only on groceries but gas as well. My husband and I are both retired and on a fixed income and we have to pinch our pennies and make them go as far as we can. The other day I was at this Krogers and i was on the shaving cream isle. There was this one employee named Amanda, she was so unbelievably rude. I was there to buy some stuff with my coupons and while I was cutting them out she was giving me rude looks like I wasn't welcome there. This lasted about ten minutes and she went to get the assistant manager, robin, which she proceeded to tell me to "clear the isles, we've been there too long". I'm sorry but I didn't know there was a limit to how long you could be in this store. I'm very disappointed at how rude Amanda was, she kept bumping into me, and giving rude looks, and telling me "there was a limit on coupons" ( when I was only cutting out a few). In my opinion, this behavior is very unacceptable and I will not continue going to this store, because of the bad experiences I've had the past few times I've been in there.

Out of WIC approved eggs on the 1rst of the month. Still out on the 3rd of the month.Constantly out of sale items. I use to shop here all the time but majority of my shopping has been at the Kroger on North St. It's just better to me
