In May 2023, my 3 year old Great Dane, Margaret, did a 2 week board and train with Mike. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. We love our walks so much more. I am comfortable and confident with her off leash and she has so much fun experiencing her environment! She responds 100% to my commands off-leash. Cats, vultures, deer, kids, cars, people, and other dogs have crossed our path and she has passed those tests every time! We are very thankful to have the freedom to really have fun together outside our home. Thanks Mike!

In full-disclosure, this is 3-stars for neutrality as I have never used their services. I wanted to make others aware of the policy that is not disclosed openly on their page: Dobbin Dog Ranch does NOT accept pets that have not been trained on an e-collar or by the owner specifically.My dogs, both very well trained and having AKC titles, themselves, have attended day care, been boarded, stayed at hotels, airbnb’s, and participated in many events in public appropriately. I would have liked the opportunity for them to enjoy this seemingly beautiful facility. I was excited to learn about this facility in several media outlets, but the training requirements were never mentioned there either.Not all dogs require e-collars to be great guests. I was willing to pay the fees that come with first-class boarding to protect my dogs and offer them a great experience. I am not willing to strap an e-collar on them or pay additional training fees for dogs that are already well- trained. I’ve already spent thousands on training for each. I’m not against e-collars, they just are not for every dog. Additionally, it was read in other reviews they do not accept dogs over ages 6-7. Mine are 3 & almost 5. I’m not going through all this to have them not be accepted in a year or two.Again, I’m sure it’s a beautiful facility- just know the requirements before getting your hopes up! I hope the owners will just be upfront and add the additional requirement info to their pages.

Thank you Mike, Kari and all the staff at DDR for transforming our sweet Milo into a well behaved, off leash trained, and obedient family pet. We had our doubts that he was trainable, but you did an excellent job. It was an investment that will benefit our whole family for many years to come.

What a waste of time. They only take young trainable dogs. They should have told us that over the phone. The guy is still a pompass....

We have been using Dobbin Dog Ranch exclusively since their opening last fall for boarding and grooming. We also used Mike’s training service for our younger golden retriever and were extremely pleased with his program. The facility is immaculate and the space/grounds and pond(s)for the dogs use are vast and impeccable-it’s like a 5 star resort for our girls. The best and most important part for us is knowing the hands on care the girls receive. We love that Mike & Kari live on property and are completely involved in the day to day operations. Mike’s knowledge in the care of dogs is immense. We know our girls receive the absolute best care when they stay at DDR-they eagerly run in when we drive up…that says it all-that peace of mind is priceless.

We used Mike for training and recently boarded our Golden Retriever and King Charles Cavalier at their new facility. It is first class, clean, and beautiful. Kari and Mike make a great team. I love that they live on the property and have an active role in the care of all the dogs there. They are thorough about making sure all the dogs have current vaccinations. Our dogs were there for over a week and did great. Mike did a great job training our Golden Retriever. I highly recommend Dobbin Dog Ranch for training and boarding.

Mike and Kari are incredible people. I’ve trusted them with both of my dogs. My parents have trusted them with all of their dogs. It’s a great place to get your pup trained. But also a great place to leave them for a week so you can get away. The facility is immaculate and gorgeous. Everything is brand new. Where the dogs sleep over night is clean and comfortable. Every time i drive my Luna up there she jumps out the car door and runs in. Awesome place. And kinda jealous of them cuz they just get to play with dogs all day!

Awesome place. We had our Remi boarded and trained there. Very professional and personal owners. Super employees, extremely clean inside and out. Wonderful and beautiful training area outside area, great for walking, exercise, and training. They know their stuff.

We have 2 huskies and moved to the country and really wanted our dogs to be off-leash, but didn’t think it would happen with their temperaments. Reached out to Mike to have him train one of our huskies and he did such a great job that we had him train the other!Dobbin Dog Ranch costs a little more than your standard boarding facility, but once you see the place you’ll understand why. You get a lot more than you do at other facilities. DDR is far superior in what they offer and the care and attention they provide to your furry friend. The services provided are worth every penny, and I highly recommend this facility if you need training, boarding or grooming.

Went in to do a tour and when we walked in we did NOT FELT THE WELCOMED VIBE!. The lady at the front desk barley took interest in us wanting to take a tour she was just standing there. She said she was checking in a dog but just standing there. While we were just standing we decided to talk to the trainer about our dog wild behavior he told us if you don't like it put her in a kennel!! Will definitely not be taking my dogs to a place where there's no friendly energy I won't feel safe leaving my dogs here for sure!!

Our senior dog, Woody, was not in good shape. However, after an extended stay at the beautiful Dobbin Dog Ranch, he can home rejuvenated! I am seriously considering checking myself in for some R&R!Seriously, the facilities are first class, and you are unlikely to find another facility that devotes the care and attention that the on site owners, Mike and Kari, give to their clients.Thank you Dobbin Dog Ranch for taking such good care of Woody for us!

Mike is an amazing trainer! It's hard to put into words how much of an impact his training has had on our lives. He trained our 1 year old black lab puppy. Our puppy (Bentley) was out of control and caused me a lot of stress and frustration! It was getting to the point where walks were becoming dangerous because of how strong and unpredictable he was. Mike not only trained him how to be off lease, heel, place, kennel, no, here, stay (on command, no treats involved!) etc. Mike taught him how to actually listen and behave! He's the same dog, with the same personality, but he's just overall better behaved. It's incredible, I can't describe!Bentley has been home from training for almost 3 months and we've had no training regression. Everything that Mike taught him is "sticking". I would send Bentley to Mike's training over and over again and would recommend Mike to anyone. I promise the training with be 1000% worth it and you'll have NO regrets!!

Very well maintained! The kennel techs are on it and take great care of the pets that stay there. Very high on the prices but you get what you pay for I guess. I would give you five stars if I could actually afford the luxury pet pampering 😁

Horrible owners have no respect for employees and puts shampoo on dogs faces that isn’t tearless so everybody needs to watch out for their dogs and get them groomed somewhere else.
