Extremely friendly and helpful. I had a kitten left in my yard by the mother and no way to remove her. They provided me with the trap at about 3:30pm. I went home to set the trap. Moments later, she was caught. I called after they closed at 4:05pm and left a message. At 4:15pm someone was knocking at my door to pick up the kitten. All I can say is wow....

I took a visit at this location the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. Me and my mother walked in and were greeted very politely by one of the employees. The same employee informed us that there were dogs, that I was specifically looking for, available for adoption. She started walking us to the back area, and before walking in she informed us of the different color cards on the cages. She stayed by our sides for most of the visit. She answered all of our questions that we asked. The dogs seem to be very well kept. A lot of them had blankets to lay in or toys to play with. They have different walking and feeding schedules for each dog. And me and my mother got to watch another employee guide a dog outside to the play area. Most dogs seemed friendly and the rest seemed shy or guarded. This was my first time visiting a shelter and I left very well educated.

Worst xp ever. Decided to adopt a kitten so went here to check out what they had. Wanted a cat and to help in the area where I live.Fell in love with a little yellow tabby. We were told to fill out an application and someone would get in touch with us 24-36 hours. Hated to leave the little guy there because a larger cat was bullying the smaller ones. But patiently we waited (even dropped by to visit him again) until 36 hours passed and decided they wanted to keep all of their cats for some odd reason.Very unprofessional staff who work there and overall disappointing.Ended up driving to Pasadena (of all places) found another cutie, completed an application and brought our baby back same day.Missouri City could learn a lot from the way Pasadena does things. They were extremely busy but staff/volunteers remained professional, supportive and friendly the whole throughout the process. Not sure how out city does things but management over animal shelter needs to change.

I want to drop off a very sweet kitten the people on my street do not feed or want...I told the truth on how it's not wanted and how I am having to feed it but they would not take it... What has happened to the rights for animals they would rather have it grow up making more unwanted kittens like it's poor mother is doing now... makes me 😡

I was greeted promptly by a volunteer and given a kennel tour to see all the potential adoptees. The checkout process was painless with a small amount of paperwork to complete. The price for the pup was reasonable for me and my pocketbook. She had already been spayed, and given initial vaccines. She has adapted well with my other dog and they are becoming fast friends. I could not be happier with her.

Seem to be doing the best they can with very few resources. Staff is friendly if a bit apathetic, but responds as promised. Dedicated funding for an Office Manager/Adoption Counselor to be the vocal "sunshine" in our Show Me City's only animal control/shelter would go a long way toward promoting more adoptions and rallying volunteers and donations.

My dog got out of the yard and they picked her up and didn't find me. Charged me $25 to have her clipped so if she gets out again I will be called.

My husband was bit trying to help a stray dog. Animal services quickly caught the stray and observed him for ten days. They gave us updated information and were able to reunite the dog with its owner.

I tired to bring a stray dog to this facility a few days ago. The attendants denied taking this dog after showing him i.d from one of us that is a resident of Missouri City. He accused us of lying about being a resident, and threatene us by calling the police. Rude!

They were very kind to me and my lil "Houdini" of a dog. She escaped from our backyard and someone took her to this shelter. We just moved to the area and I was terrified that my dog was lost forever. I got her after hours and they were kind enough to let me pickup my fur baby anyway. Thank you so much.

Very disappointed with the animal control office in MissouriCity. There are numerous stray cats and No one can help pickup these cats!I did contact the animal control office to see if someone would drop off some traps at my elderly mothers house. The gentleman stated no that someone has to come pickup the traps

The dog catcher had to come out because my dog was in heat and there were dogs howling at the window all night. He handled them with professionalism and still you could tell he cared for them also

If you have a GOAT problem... Mo.City Animal Control will sort you out!Had a loose female goat running around our yard, at the rear of our building on S.Gessner... Animal Control dispatched an officer, and instead of Carnitas for lunch tomorrow (as we'd hoped), we'll have to settle for Lenny's subs or McDonalds or something. Happy ending for the goat... not so happy ending for our stomachs that were very much looking forward to roasting the little thing over an open bbq pit!!!

I brought a stray kitten to here because I was told to. I came wasted time and gas for them later to tell me no.I feel bad already since kitten might die and they couldn't careless that I was told to bring her here

Very nice and helpful, i thought i had a opossum in my back yard and o was able to get a cage from them to safely trap it, i didn't catch anything but the staff were all helpful and the process was easy

If you don’t live in Missouri City/ the animal you are dealing with isn’t in Missouri City then your are trying the wrong place. Very nice facilities, especially considering the size of Missouri City.

They need to open for a few more hours cause they might know if people might call saying theirs homeless dogs in the streets because I see dogs in the streets everyday and their always closed till five that's not right it's messed up

I'm glad the Shelter got funding for improvement. It's good to have a place for our strays. Staff was very helpful.
