My wife and I love this place! Best coffee, and frozen drinks we've ever had. There is a Starbucks down the street, and we haven't been there once since we found this place. I'd rather support local business as a general rule anyway, but when it's such a superior experience in every possible way... the choice is a no-brainer!Parking: Parking is always within walking distance unless there is some sort of event downtown.Kid-friendliness: They are always patient and kind to our kids, and our kids love it! Did I mention it's also a candy store?!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp for easy wheelchair access!

When I take trips my goal is always to find a local roaster to get a bag of beans to take home to Ohio. On a trip to mineral wells for a funeral my girlfriend found this place. Super well setup inside and an amazing selection with super knowledgeable staff. Answered questions talked shop ended up with an Ethiopian guji. The light roast I took home feels more medium, but I can’t knock points when it’s smooth with lots of funky notes notes from the natural process still shining through. Have had it both espresso and pour over and it works well for both. Might have to get some shipped to me here in Ohio like I told the man I would in the shop.If you are just getting into coffee the guy knows his stuff. Go in have a chat come out with some interesting coffee that from what I have seen is all sourced responsibly

Do not expect craft coffee. This is not good coffee unless you like yours burnt with the only flavor being unsweetened baking chocolate (bitter) or have it sweetened to the point you can’t tell too much about the coffee flavor. This place is selling their coffee as premium: $22 per 12oz bag. I bought 3 bags, each with detailed descriptions of the flavor profiles but none exhibited the claimed flavors. Although you’d have to take my word on the flavor, you can see in the pictures that the coffee is over roasted (the bags claim light to medium roast but are clearly very dark) and the grind is too coarse. I asked for a drip grind because I was traveling and didn’t have my grinder with me. Don’t waste your money here, cheaper bags at the grocery store taste just as good if not better than this (think 8 O’clock or Peet’s). Or you can get premium coffee for cheaper from other Texas roasters that will ship to you (Think Eiland or Cuvée).A response to the owners response:You don’t know what’s being shown in the pictures? It’s over roasted coffee that you advertised as light and medium roast and sold at a premium cost. $8 would be a fair price for your coffee, not $22. And I should have told you fine grind? Fine grind is for espresso - I told you to grind for drip which is a medium grind. To anyone who knows craft coffee, the pictures speak for themselves. And all shops use a Bunn grinder? No. Craft shops typically use Italian or German made grinders such as Ceado. Your business reply reveals a lack of understanding basic craft coffee. My review is a warning for people looking for craft. Not everyone wants craft, and I hope that those people ignore my review and keep going to your shop. If you are near Mineral wells area- this is a must visit place. See the historic Baker hotel and this shop is just infront of it.The coffee is too good. I had one hot cup there and bought a pack ground coffee too. And yeah, still VCRs are there. Owners are super cool person.

Our first time here. We were greeted pleasantly right off. There was so much to see in this shop. Not just movies and coffee. I purchased their cookies and frozen hot chocolate drink. They were both delicious. The owner gave us some history on the hotel and the town. It was very interesting.I’ll be back for sure!!

If you want good coffee and other traditionally made beverages as well as some nature minded food snacks that are irresistible, this is the place period I would say that it's the best coffee and Mineral Wells. The people in the place are very friendly they like to talk, and you'll find yourself engaged in a conversation.I thought I would make an addendum to this review. The husband is a very nice guy who will go out of his way to help you out, but the wife is a Little Bit Too Faced. She'll be all friendly and you have a blessed day - ish , but if you're hurting a little bit for change, she's all about the money and don't let anyone tell you different. found that out first-hand. I don't plan to change this review unless I see future actions to the contrary.

I absolutely love this place! They have great drinks and candy! Their shop feels like home! They have a great selection of candy, if you got a sweet tooth. The coffee is delicious, but if coffee isn't for you they also have quite a selection of teas. They also have other wonderful drinks that are a treat, as well as an assortment of flavors. It's a cozy spot to sip on a drink, snack on some candy, all while talking with a friend or working on some work. Definitely a place to visit over and over again! Plus it helps that the owners are just lovely, caring people!

Hard to say which is more inviting about this place...the smell of all of the deliciousness that it has to offer or the friendly smiles and welcoming atmosphere that the owners provide. Super friendly owner and employees! I love that we are always greeted with a smile every time we walk in the door. We always stop in here on our trip when coming to Mineral Wells for the state park. It has become a tradition for our family. They have coffee, of course! And every kind of candy you can think of, for little kids and big kids! If you can't find something you like then you hate everything. Haha. They have the plans for the Baker Hotel here and can show and tell you about its history and upcoming plans for it. We cannot wait to visit once the hotel is reopened. I know where I'll be getting my coffee every morning during our hotel stay! Thank you for staying true to your roots and remaining so positive and friendly in this crazy world of ours.

They have always been so cheerful and nice to us. If you like small town coffee shops this is a great place to go with plenty of seating and wifi!On another note this place should be supported! For those who have supported companies that have shipped items to our military over sea, ect. They have done that and I'm sure would be more than happy to continue that when places like Starbucks think they are too good for that.
