This place is horrible. The owner Cindy takes horrible care of her pets. I walked in one day to look at the kittens and ended up going home with a Siamese for $60. He was only fur and bones, very dehydrated and had diarrhea when I brought him home. I took him to my vet and they had to keep him overnight on IVs to get him hydrated again along with giving me antibiotics the administer to him at home. I went back the next day with the vet bill in hand and demanded the $60 back to compensate for his vet bill. She acted very stupid while giving the money back stumbling over words trying to get me out of there. If it was up to me I would go and take all those animals away from her. She has been shut down multiple times. I don't know how the city keeps allowing her to pop up new pet shops in different locations. She needs to have her business license revoked and she needs to be jailed for animal cruelty.

This "Pet Store" is best described as a death trap. All of the reptiles had mites, did not have proper lighting, undertank heat, nor the proper substrate. The water bowls(if there was one) hadn't been cleaned in what looked like weeks. I purchased a snake there about a week ago and had to treat him for external parasites. He was way underweight, and readily took the first meal I offered. I was told he was "nice," well of course a snake is nice if it is so cold that it can barely move. Once I got him home, and up to a proper temperature and humidity, he is much more feisty. No complaints on the temperament. However I returned the next day to purchase another 2 snakes just to rescue them from this disease infested facility, and I was told they were no longer for sale, even though there was still price tags on the enclosures. DO NOT purchase any animals from this store unless you are prepared to invest tons in vet bills, or possibly even have that animal perish. The owner is very ignorant about all of the animals she is attempting to sell. Take your business elsewhere! This pet store is nothing but a money maker, and she does not care for the wellbeing of the animals whatsoever.

I got two pets on sunday. A sweet little kitten For me and my fiance and a toy poodle for my step mom. We brought the toy poodle to her and the first day, Everything was great. The next day, he was throwing up and had bloody diharreah. We immediately took him to the vet and found out he had coccodia, an intestinal parasite. The vet gave him antibiotics and sent him home. He died that night. He was so sick and they (the pet store) didn't even say anything. DO NOT COME HERE!!

I bought a healthy looking snake and paid a good amount for it. Once I brought it home, I discovered he had mites. I took him to the vet and they confirmed the mites and informed me that my little guy also had ticks AND pinworms. Now I'm spending the next couple weeks treating him and the rest of my collection. I'm never giving The Pet Store on Andrews Hwy my business ever again.

I had worked here for two years i worked my butt off to keep all the animals taken care of (i just recently quit because of her selfish actions) . how ever the owner of the place cindy williams is a cruel hatful selfish evil old lady that deserves to be shut down and put in jail. She cares about nothing but money that is why her prices are so high, she wont even pay for sick animals vet bills i cant tell you how many times i watched a animal suffer in her care she is terrible, she wont even take the time to feed and water all the animals on my days off nothing got done i would come back to work and some animals would have no food or water. so many people have bought sick animals and she WILL NOT do anything about it or refund you. So if your thinking about buying a pet from here think twice, it will probably end up sick and die. she will be shut down!

I wouldn't give her one star. My brother got a puppy and we thought it was just timid but as soon as he took him home he threw up blood and diarrhea. He took him to the vet and it had parvo. That lady does not look after her pets. There was a kitten there and it looked so unhealthy. She needs to be closed!

I bought a female bearded dragon from The Pet Store and took it back within the same hour because the one I already had didn't get along with the new one. The owner said that she would sell it for me and contact me when the bearded dragon was sold to give me my $200 back. After a couple of months I went back to check on her and she had a sold sign on her cage. When I asked the owner about it she said she forgot to call me and she would write my check. She did, but it was only for $100. When I asked where the other $100 was she said she was keeping half of the profit. Then when I was leaving two girls asked to hold a puppy. The owner said, "Are you in the market or just wanting to hold the puppy?" I found that to be very rude. I went home and found the signed agreement where she wrote that she would give me $200, so I took the check and the agreement back to her and she was very rude. While she wrote me the check for $200 she kept making smart remarks saying I did good there, that she had to take care of the bearded dragon for free for those few months, she said she was just trying to help me out and I screwed her over, and was asking why I would think that she would give me the full amount back. She didn't tell me she was only going to give me half of the profit back the day I took her back. The owner is rude and just wants money. I will not be doing business with her anymore and I do not recommend her to anyone!

I don't know what going on, but I'm putting a review in. I bought my Min pin here a 3 years ago, I love him to death, they were able t0 provide me a healthy puppy for 400 bucks, I love him my Bruno, he is our boss dog in the house. With out this company giving me a puppy who is my world, that's why I'm back my son wants a min pin now and im looking for a buddy for him. Please I just called from a corpus #.

The store did indeed used to be a terrible place. But it was bought by another woman who takes the upmost care of her pets she offers and treats them all as her own. I think when I business goes under new management the reviews should be deleted, And she should be given a fair chance instead of paying for whoever this Cindys mistakes were.

Hello, I have read and understand everyones comments and reviews. I am one of the people that works here now. Yes, Cindy is still in charge but, it is under different management in the store. If you were to walk in Monday-Saturday, you will find Craig. He runs the building every day. I am there Tuesday-Saturday helping him with just about everything. The business did indeed used to be a bad place when I first went there. Then, one day I came in and Craig was there. A few weeks later, he asked for my help around the store. He is very helpful with the products and animals and if he is asked a question and doesn't know the answer, he will ask me or look it up and truly will get back to you on that. Also, if there is a specific animal you are looking for, he now has a pad that he writes down your name, the breed of animal, if you are looking for a specific sex, and your number. He doesn't leave you hanging. I help with puppy shots as well. And when you buy puppies, he will tell you if they have already recieved a first shot or not and when the next shot is due. If they need the shot that day when you buy them, he will do it right in front of you. It is a lot better without Cindy constantly around and especially since she is still around doing some management, she gets calls about pups that will be coming in or any animals at all and calls Craig so he knows. She is sometimes in the store (very rarely) but, it is a much nicer store. We'd love for anyone to come in and re-check, or just check around for the first time! We'd love to help even if it has nothing to do with OUR animals. Questions, concerns, whatever. But, any tips on grooming, you can always ask me!:)Other than the store, I also have experience with many animals and have taken an Animals Science, Veterinary Science, and grooming class(es) in New York and have done internships at veterinary hospitals, grooming shops, etc. And I personally own 3 ball pythons (1 albino), a Texas Long Nose, a Black Rat Snake, a Rosy Boa, a shephard/Pitbull, 3 cats (from the pet store), and have also owned 2previous dogs from the pet store who are now in new loving homes because my big pup is just too rough with the smaller breeds. But, both of them were healthy. And all 3 of our cats are fantastic. 2 siblings and one newer kitten. Plus, the 3 non-python breed snakes are from the pet store and our largest python is from the pet store and he was free for me to bring home to see if he is alright and if he was just too nevvous there. He had nit been eating and needed to shed and now is a great part of the family but, still hasn't eaten so we are currently trying other foods than rats and mice.So please, any questions of any sorts, please stop in and ask! Bought a "toy" poodle from this place for 500.00,The poor dog was sold to me with parvo.I called the owner and told her about it and she sounded upset told me to take it to the vet where she takes her animals too.They left the puppy there for a week and a half she had to pay the bill because she didn't want to give me back my money.This place is horrible they need to close it down!!!!

It was amazing it might be a little store but it has a lot of stuff. They have good service and amazing items. The only minor thing is that they don't have a lot of dogs to buy. But there is still dogs to choose from. But if your your looking for a certain dog like a Yorkies. Than you just have to be very lucky to go there and find one. I'd just call the store before you go.

I give this place no stars my friend came in there to get a puppy and it died two days later they dont take care of the animals all they want is your money and they dont take them to the vet to get a check up on the animals so if you want to waste your money then go to them but I know I never do it Ill go to PetSmart

This is the worst place do not get your pets from here they give no shot records . No information about the pets what so ever ! Just bought a kitten and come to find out she has worms .

I bought a puppy an it died few days later after I got it took it to the vet I still can't get the image out of my head I woke up an my puppy was dead in my bed this place need to be shut down they refused to give me my money back I paid almost 600 for my puppy an it died please stay away from this place
