I ordered the chicken tenders and catfish dinners with Mac and cheese and French fries. I went to the one on BigSpring at around 5PM. The fries were cold and hard and tasted like weeks old grease. The Mac and cheese was cold and salty. The fish was dry and greasy and there wasn’t anything tender about the chicken tenders. Do not waste your time or hard earned money at this place.

So, this is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant…Let’s check off the pertinent facts:1) 2liter-sized large cup of good iced tea (it’s a REALLY LARGE CUP FOLKS)2) really juicy chicken tenders fried crispy golden3) packets of Texas Pete’s hot sauce!!Prices are good and they all three (in midland) are staffed by super friendly people.The restaurant is always clean!Check them out.STILL THE BEST

* It's been about 4 or 5 weeks now, and Ownership has yet to respond back in a way that shows their desire to make it right. I filled out the online comment card as was requested. *Yolanda (or that's what she told us her name was - she was wearing a blue shirt) was incredibly rude when we let her know she only gave us 7 chicken tenders on an 8 count meal. She said she counted them personally and knew for a fact that she gave us 8. I brought the food to her and asked if she would like to count the tenders, and she refused to do so. She proceeded to complain to her co- workers about me. I asked her again to count the tenders, which she refused to do. I then asked one of her co-workers to count them, and she wouldn't. After a minute of debating, she reluctantly gave the extra tender after complaining to additional co-workers.I later asked for honey, and she bluntly replied no. I asked a different worker and she gave me honey.She kept complaining to her co- workers, to which I approached the counter and let her know she was teaching her employees to be disrespectful.Her male co-worker said if we didn't like their service that we didn't have to eat there any more.Seriously? All that over a chicken tender?If it were my restaurant, I would review the camera footage and use it as a teaching moment with the entire crew that was working at 7:30pm on 9/7/23. Hopefully, for the sake of Golden Chick, she has not infected too many other employees with her toxic attitude. She is the type of manager who can take a small organization in a direction you do not want to go.We have oftentimes needed to approach the counter to correct an order here and had never had any issue prior to this interaction.I'm still blown away by the complete unprofessional behavior of the two workers mentioned above.As a leader at my place of business, I would be ashamed to work with a crew that fosters disrespectful attitudes and a combative spirit, especially to those that are paying money to provide food for their family.

I placed my order online, hoping to speed up the process. They didn’t have the correct pieces of chicken to fill the order and waited until I arrived to fill any part of the meals. So much for saving time and exasperation. To their credit, the server- I’m sorry I didn’t catch the name, but she seemed to be in charge- was very pleasant and obviously as frustrated as I was. It would have been nice to receive an “extra” like a cookie or a coupon to get on my good side 😬

I’m so disappointed the owner get people without paper to work just to not pay them I know people in there that they have like 5 weeks in there working hard doing the job of 3 people and is hard for the people can’t have papers and need the job and they play with them and just told them if you are disagree with our decision the pinche door is there because they have a enormous list of people who wants to works that’s no fair for anybody is not only one person is all the people in every Golden Chick that they not get pay and the people has to pay their rent theirs cars insurance and everything.

I don’t leave reviews because I usually let things go. However I needed to leave this review. My food was not hot, the okra tasted like leftovers. The chicken didn’t have season on it when I asked for spicy. I have NEVER ate a CRUNCHY FUNNEL CAKE. It also tastes like leftovers. I’m very disappointed and i probably won’t go to any Golden Chicks again.

We had a terrible experience when dining in at this location. Yolanda, in a blue shirt, was more concerned with singing to her music, than doing her job right. When we pointed out that we were missing an item, she immediately became defensive and insisted that she was right, and that she never makes a mistake when preparing orders. We brought our tray of food back to the counter to show her our order, but she refused to even look at our tray, because she insisted that she gave us everything we ordered. When we asked for honey for our rolls, she bluntly said no! She was talking obnoxiously rude about the encounter and about us with the other employees, while we were sitting down less than 20 feet in front of her. Her young male coworker joined in on her toxicity by taking her words and her side, also refusing to compare the proof of our order, and even going as far as to say that if we don't like their service, we could leave. We weren't asking for anything special, other than the items we paid for. Unfortunately this incident acted as a way to show our 10 year old, who witnessed the whole thing, how NOT to treat other humans.

I remember a time when closing time MEANT closing time.Not here. Dining room was closed when I arrived at 8:58pm to grab a mobile order and want to use the restroom.Nearly wet myself trying to make it to the next open location.Every other Golden Chick I've been to locks the doors at closing time.

Too expensive for Horrible service & old food... They didn’t know the specials that were going on & they were out of fried chicken. They didn’t even offer to drop new chicken to fulfill our order, we had to get baked chicken. Once we received our order after waiting in line for 30min the chicken was not even fresh, I could tell it had been sitting for a while. I ended up going across the street to Popeyes. I will never return to any Golden Chicken establishment, lazy employees & bad management.

Sorry, was very disappointed in the quality of product. I ordered what I thought was to be two delicious fish fillets. Unfortunately what I got was not what was pictured on the menu. What I received was two shriveled, poorly prepared and tasteless strips of what was supposed to be fish. Looked and tasted more like two pieces of rubber, breaded and deep fried and passed off as fish. Don't know what has happened to the store on north Big Springs but the food quality has declined significantly over the last two years. Lesson learned, will not be trying that fish again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The food is always great when I can actually get it but they love to close an hour before actual closing time. This time made me really upset because they got our order and gave us the total and everything. We then pull up to the window ready for chicken and to pay when they tell us they gave the last of the tenders to the car before us after they already got our order and told us the total and had us wait. They told us they turn the fryers off at 9 (an hour before closing) and they thought they made enough for our order. Last time I come here and recommend anyone to come here for that matter.

We got there 30 mins before closing, first they didn’t want to drop poppers. Okay fine whatever! We get our food everything is cold, she forgot our drinks. We get home and noticed we didn’t get our jalapeños either and she actually had the nerves to tell me she don’t know what to tell me. For starters you say sorry and find away to make it right. I will be going in bright and early to speak with a manager. This is now the 3rd time I went and the food was horrible , and now the service too! We won’t be back.

Used to be my favorite fast food fried chicken experience. Now it’s a gamble when ordering food. From forgetting to spice up my tenders, to forgetting said tenders all together. There will always be something missing in my orders. Not a 1 star because the lack of care put into my order sometimes also comes with an extra chicken strip (that i presume they don’t do it out of good will, but simply because no attention was present)

Pulled up today at 530 (dinner time). Was told they had 5 pieces of fried and 5 pieces of roasted, and that was it. Stated the fryers hadn't been turned on yet. Went ahead and took the 5 of each, to find out evidently they were left over from the lunch rush (super dry). One would think that maybe at dinner time, fryers would be on and running preparing for a dinner crowd.

Wait was ridiculous, they held up 4 cars while one sat at the window for 10 minutes, chicken was so dry, I couldn’t chew it! Guy at the window didn’t include straw nor fork, and gave me the wrong drink, but I caught it! Macaroni was awful, also dried out. I was there at 5:30 and felt like I got the lunch leftovers! This was a great place when it first opened on Big Sring Street in Midland, Tx. I won’t go back!

How are you going to tell me before you take my order that you are not going to drop anything in the fryers. I still had 45 mins before closing time. But since you don’t want to clean you are not going to take my order. Last time I go the golden chick. This is already the 3rd strike gave them the benefit of the doubt and it just backfired.
