I come in this place often. usually it's the biscuits that are extremely hard to eat, so I don't really complain about that. I buy a lot of chicken there. We usually get the Dipper Bowl,and couple cups of just Dippers, a 2 to 4 breasts, and a couple legs, plus other items. We spend about 40 bucks each time. Usually we get Dippers in our food that are hard to eat, but the last 2x the Dippers have been inedible. I'm going try and post pics of just how bad the Dippers have gotten. I won't be buying them anymore, I quit getting the biscuits to. I may quit buying food there all together.

Super clean. Great selection of snacks, souvenirs, and food. Bathrooms are absolutely spotless. Has lots of truck parking and a pet run area completely fenced in. We grabbed a couple kolaches and egg bites for the road. Yummy! Lady working the counter was absolutely adorable.

We always stop here for gas and food while on our way down south. The spices apples are delicious. Last visit I had the gizzards and they were fresh and pretty damn good. Restrooms are always clean and the store is clean. They have a little general store inside with a variety of items for sale along with local produced jellies and stuff like that. On the last visit I picked up some spiced apples for the wife who was waiting on me in San Antonio. Love this place.

The family and I drive through Menard pretty often, this is probably the most presentable and tidy spot in town for pass through traffic. Plenty of gas pumps, yes they have diesel too, the restrooms are clean, the men's does have a charging table for your daddy duties stops. Also liked the options on fried foods (Champs Chicken), yes they carry beer, plenty of drink options, local jerky, locally made coolers, knives, among other items. Over all they did a good job with the theme, and names "Watering Hole, Beer Shaft" staff was friendly. Great addition to this small town as it grows. Keep it up! I'll be seeing you guys again on my next stop.

GREAT PLACE, I stopped in there earlier today during a business trip, basically to get something to nibble on and to stretch my legs. I tried thier fried chicken and fries. it was very good. fresh and hot. the lady who served me was great. I included a drink and a couple of cookies total cost was about 12.00s. which I thought was pretty Fair. So thank you folks for a pleasant experience. I hope I will be able to stop in again in the near future.

The nicest, cleanest, most well stocked convenience store this side of a Buccees. I always stop and check out the interesting selection of clothing items, jerky, candles, and collectibles. The bathrooms are always clean and the food smells delicious. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and well stocked. Its the absolute best place to stop in Menard, and between Junction and San Angelo its the only place I will stop.

Nice and quite place to park for the night. Coffee is hot and tastes great. Truck parking is on white rock. Add this to my favorites for sure, hope the nasty truck drivers in the world don’t screw it up for the rest of us.

This place is incredible. I have never been to such clean, inviting convenience store and it has great food. If that is not enough they have a crazy collection of animal mounts including full body mounts of big whitetail fighting over the cash register.

Stopped here on way back from Colorado to RGV to refuel and use the facilities. Restrooms were clean, staff was friendly and spontaneously helpful with suggestions. Grabbed some snacks and the chicken sandwich I had was excellent - superior to Chik-fil-a, Popeyes etc. Will definitely stop here again to refuel on next trip

Pulled up to a pump but it didn’t work. Had to wait for another pump, but it worked well. Went inside for a few things, staff was friendly, restroom clean.

They take advantage of being the only gas station. Their gas is 40% more expensive than any other station in Texas. Their chicken was also not good. It gave me food poisoning

I had to drive through Menard on my way to Mexico and on my way there I stopped at Bowies for snacks and gas. Apparently I dropped my drivers license in the bathroom and somebody found a way to contact me through Facebook. By the time I was contacted I was already back home which is roughly two hours away and I couldn't make the trip for a few weeks so I asked if somebody at Bowies could mail it to me. Thankfully I was able to get in touch with the manager and she agreed to mail it to me. I received it two days later! Thank you to the staff and manager, this place definitely gets a 5 star review! Very friendly service, very clean location!

We love this store. It has very clean bathrooms and easy in and out with dieselif pulling a camper. The only issue we have is they need to keep the doggie area clean as it is sometimes full of weeds or poo.

Stopped for my 10 hour break. Nice size lot to park in. Store was very clean with a nice variety of drinks and snacks. I had some of the hot food and was tasty. Bathrooms were very clean. All the staff were friendly.

Stopped in my way to San Antonio, had good fresh coffee, all the drinks and snacks you'd expect in a good convenience store. Bathrooms were spotless which is the main seller. Not many places for trucks to stop between sweetwater and junction. This place is definitely gonna be my new stop on my south Texas runs.

Lots of parking. Clean restrooms. Clean store. Alot of the items have no price.. Credit card machine froze so no receipt unless you want to wait 3-4 minutes. I'm assuming my cashier was in training since she didn't know why the credit card machine froze. Other cashier comes up to tell her what's going on but doesn't address me, acts like I'm not there....No masks for my cashier and other lady who came to help her. Chicken bites have A LOT of pepper-they were not dry though.

This was the cleanest bathroom I have ever used while traveling. It smelled amazing and I enjoyed the Christian music playing. Will definitely be stopping there again next time we travel that way.
