The food is very good. Last visit I had a hamburger, this time I had the fish plate and both were excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This was a unique place on my bucket list as I lived in Melvin, Texas the first seven years of my life. Great restaurant. Friendly staff.

I ran out of gas about 20 miles away from here. After calling my roadside assistance and sitting for 2 hours. (I even called the Texas stranded motorist hotline) I finally called the feed store where the ranch hands at Doole Pens Ranch had told me sold fuel. Out of desperation, I asked if someone might be able to come bring some gas. Being out in the middle of nowhere I exercise my Texas right to "open carry" which seemed to confuse the guy. He asked me "why do you have a gun". None the less, all he asked was to refill his gas can. Which wasn't for lack of trying to offer something more. It's good to see some of us left carrying the spirit of Texans. Show a little love and stop by for lunch. I'll definitely be back to do the same on my next trip where in not in such a rush. I'm very grateful, I hope the experience for them was also well enough to keep helping others in good faith.

Food was really good! Stuffed hamburgers hit the spot. Our first time here. We were recomended by a hunting guide and he did not disappoint us. Was VERY busy at lunch time, but the waitress did really well keeping up with everyone.If we are ever back in town, we will be stopping by.

It would be really nice if they posted the cafe hours online as well so that regular out of town customers like ourselves know if they are closed before we get excited about it and drive all the way over there for nothing.We and everyone else at our deer lease spend quite a bit of money here through out the year. The feed is good and clean. Tire shop is pricey and so is their supplies inside. You can get a Jacoby tee shirt for $15.We've ate at the cafe once. My husband had a burger he said was good (but not whataburger good) and I had the stuffed hamburger steak. It was okay but I was looking forward to it being oozy with cheese on the inside as it was described to me but that wasn't the case. Bummer... so today would have been our second time but they were closed when we got there at 4:15pm.Pic is posted for y'alls reference

Neet little place. The Cafe was very nice clean and the staff were very friendly. No cell phone service. So we had to use there Wi-Fi to contact our dispatch. They said stay as long as you need.

Would I return? Yes, and I do!As an oasis in the middle of no where, the folks at the mill and store have always been kind & professional!Unload/Delivery has always been professional and efficient!The Cafe offers a nice array of meals for all who enter! The plates are wholesome and sizeable in the portions served! The staff are kind and attentive!Prices are more than reasonable!If you have not been here, and you are passing through, stop in!

The rib eye steak was great! Great marbling and very tender. The kindness of the wait staff has improved substantially as well. Definitely worth stopping in if your in the area.

Jacobs’s has great staff and food. Friday is their catfish day - grilled and fried. They have various daily specials usually made with their home-raised beef. Their daily specials include a dessert they make themselves. In fact, there is usually a cake or icing being mixed. Today they were making Pecan pies. They are heavily involved in their community too. The feed store has a great guy working there too! He’s always in a good mood, enjoying working there. How many places don’t have staff that even know how to smile these days? Jacobs’s have two feed stores - one for animals and the other for people ;)

We had great breakfast here. The chicken fried steak was delicious. Everyone's eggs were cooked perfectly. And the sausage was so good, we purchased some (frozen) to take home.

Neat spot in the middle of nowhere. Family owned. Everybody seems to know each other. The meat is fresh as it is raised just around that area. Personally, the best thing on the menu was the strawberry cake.Besides being a restaurant, this is also a feed store, a gas station and home of the famous Jacoby brand of feed

Small town Texas! I had a cheeseburger.. It was a decent burger, I kept expecting a different taste, it never came... When you order a 11 dollar burger you expect Greatness, something to remember besides the cost, especially in small town America...A new Windmill electric farm is being built nearby allowing Jacoby to get a little deeper into the workforce pockets...When the wind farm is complete and the workforce goes home!
