I don't typically leave reviews, however in this case I do feel the need to share our story. My wife and I had to put one of our beloved Bulldogs to rest this past Friday 12/01. This was literally the hardest thing that I have had to do in my entire life. Buster lived an amazing life, he was such a blessing to our family for the years that we had him, over 9. We wanted to say thank you to the entire staff at Animal Hospital of Melissa and for showing true care and concern for our beloved Buster throughout this process and communicating and explaining everything. We would like to give a special THANK YOU to DR. DAY and her commitment, dedication to her job, her team, a Veterinarian and a wonderful person all around. She was scheduled to be off a few days this past week but when we went in for Buster's final goodbye she shows up in the room and completely stuns and shocks myself and my wife. She chose to be part of this process on her own personal time and for that we can never say thank you enough. That was truly special to have Dr. Day there to be part of his final journey. Thank you again to everyone at AHM and for Dr. Day's selfless act of kindness, care and concern.

I just lost my 3rd little fur baby in under 2 years. Dr Day at Animal Hospital of Melissa was there for me, every step of the way. She explained everything that was happening to my babies with respect, love, and compassion for me, my baby, and the situation. All of the staff from Charlene and Emily to the techs are so graciously kind and patient.Within a week, I rescued a new little fur baby boy who had his first visit with Dr Day and the rest of his new vet family. Let me say, he was not too happy about his exam. But, they all persevered and completed his exam with love for this traumatized little guy. I love the folks in this place and know they will always be my vet family as long as I live here.Peace of mind and people who love my animals as much as I do is worth the money. The prices are very fair. I have searched for a relationship with a vet… not just a “visit”, and have found that with Animal Hospital of Melissa, Dr Day and crew. I am so grateful.

They've always taken great care of my fur babies! Starte coming her 9 years ago. My old lady needed to be put down, they offered me as much time as we needed and special spot on a bench under a tree to say our goodbyes. A loving experience I'll never forget. And now they care for my 2 new babies wonderfully, easy scheduling, kindness and thorough. Love the team. Although or grooming experience was traumatic....proceed with caution.

We have been using the Animal hospital in Melissa for about two years now and we love them! Dr. Day is the sweetest and best vet I’ve had the chance of meeting. She cared for my babies as they were her own and did a success surgery removing my bostons toe! Will continue using them

EVERYBODY was so friendly, helpful and Professional. We really appreciate Dr. Day and the amount of down-to-earth advice, support, caring, and time she spent with us as we introduced our new rescue pup to the new facility/vet.UPDATE: 10 days later, after putting our pup on new medications which appear to have less effectiveness, this vet failed to acknowledge/return my phone call or texts. Not sure how much of a trusted partner they truly are. Time will tell.

We just started taking our dog to Animal Hospital of Melissa. She has had 2 visits, one with Dr. Smith & the other with Dr. Free. They both showed compassion & professionalism. We have come here for my super anxious pup for years. The staff is always helpful with working us in. They are very clear about what my pup needs, and always show a detailed line item quote of what services I will be paying for, that I can review and discuss before we get going. I have no reservations about recommending them for anyone else’s pets.

The wait is never long. The staff is attentive and friendly. All of the doctors are kind and engaged with the dogs and their humans. Everything is explained simply. It's evident how much they really care about the best treatment for your animals.

They were so good and calming when I was upset and fearful that I was going to lose my beloved pet. They did necessary tests to diagnose my boy as well being aware to help keep expenses down since we are seniors on a fixed income. I can't say enough about Bree. She has a true love and patience for taking care of pets. Our dog struggles at the vet and we were having trouble getting her nails trimmed. Called for an emergency for my dog Ruby, they got me in that day. When I came to the appointment, everybody was so sweet. I had spoken to Emily when I called and she was just as nice in person along with her deskmate (sorry, I don't remember her name). I met Dr Day's PA and she was a sweetheart. Dr Day was so nice, she treated Ruby and from what I was told Ruby was smiling the whole time. Thank you guys so much.

Don't expect to be greeted with cheerful smiles or eye contact. Staff doesn't seem too friendly.Correction....The friendliness is activated when they offer a $10 discount in exchange for a review if you want the discount. It's a little like bribery. Shameless!The staff should always be professional and friendly.

Charlene at the front is always so sweet and helpful! We also love Dr. Day - she is super thorough and takes the time to explain everything. I never feel like I’m being rushed, and I feel like the staff really cares about my pup! I also really like that they will give you a printed estimate before doing anything costly, and try to give you multiple options when possible. I never feel like they are pushing me to do anything just to make money, and I trust that Dr. Day will be upfront about necessity of procedures and costs. I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Melissa!

We've been going to Melissa animal hospital for almost a year. We had been seeing Dr W. and really liked him. He's a great vet and took great care of our bulldog. This past week we met Dr Day she is also great. She took her time to explain things so that I would understand them.I'm happy that we found Melissa animal hospital.
