We have used this location since it opened. We have enjoyed the free bag of food after buying 5. The staff has always been kind and helpful.Today my husband’s experience was terrible. We tried calling the store to see if we could speak to a manager but no one answered.Two teen girls were working. The line had grown to 3 people. They waited for about 10 minutes for the two girls who were stocking shelves and talking to eachother before one of the other customers flagged them down to begin checking people out My husband chose a bag of food that we know to be $56.99 from making several other purchases. They told him it was $80 something with tax. When he said that it has always been $56.99 and that’s what it says on the sign where it is stocked, they were dismissive and were like - oh well do you want a smaller bag? No. He doesn’t want a smaller bag, he wants the correct price.So- just watch out that the store is apparently charging more than what they advertise on their website and in the section it is stockedI guess we will be heading to Tractor Supply going forward.

Personally I think it is fun to see all the animals and the way they act. Also, the workers there are really nice. But here is the bad thing they used to let you hold some of the animals. I LOVE BUNNIES and used to be able to hold them but NOT ANYMORE!😩 🤨😣😖 😤😠😡🤯😳😱

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Deplorable conditions for birds. Conures are in ridiculously small cages with only bird seed for food and no water. Absolutely broke my heart, these birds have probably never flown in their entire lives. If you care for animals at all please do not support this place. They also have a cat in an insanely small enclosure and rodents in similar conditions. I asked a girl up front for a business card because I genuinely would want to talk to a manager about how they keep their birds, if not for the terribly small cages then at least they could give them proper food, and the sales girl literally threw the card at me. It was surprising and appalling, I had no previous interaction with the staff besides when they welcomed me in and so to be treated this way for politely asking for a business card... it's disturbing. I genuinely hope they either drastically change the way these animals are cared for or they go out of business, this is no place for an animal to be kept.

I normally don’t write reviews but I just needed to take a moment and speak about my experience yesterday and give this store 10/10 ⭐️. The store was so clean and had just what I needed. I was greeted upon entry and I was helped by a very polite employee named Morgen who was above and beyond! I have never spoke with a young lady with such professional manners. This store is now my favorite when it comes to shopping for my animals!! Thank you Morgen!

I happened upon this place on its opening night a few years ago. I loved the store, the staff has consistently gone downhill. They’re generally condescending and impatient while also maintaining an attitude that they’re annoyed that you interrupted their workday. One of my visits an employee recognized my dog, scooped her up and held her. This would be cute…but I try to be careful and mindful of how she is picked up due to her age and breed type because it can hurt her back and front legs. I know she wasn’t trying to be rude but it was still weird.. she’s 25lbs she’s not like chihuahua sized. My Last visit yesterday was frustrating, the dryers have been replaced over time and are currently pretty crummy. They hardly blow with any force higher than a blow drier and they smell like feet- which means it’s time to sanitize the filters. They changed prices jumping from $9.99 per bath to a choice of $15 basic or $20 premium. Ridiculous price jump. The quality of shampoo options has lessened. The towels stink, the little grey mat they keep on the drying table smells terrible and I have to move it every time I’ve gone, unless you want your dog to smell like wet cloth that’s been sitting for days/weeks. Regardless of it being washed or not it smells god awful and it has for years. You don’t even get any tools to use with the bath area, you get one bottle of diluted shampoo in un-sanitized bottles for an increased price of $15. The bottles aren’t supposed to sit pre-diluted for more than the period of the day. They clearly aren’t being cleaned as they have rings of crust on the neck of the bottle and lid, when they let your smell it you can smell the crusty breakdown of skin and shampoo crud on the neck of the bottle. SANITIZE. Its so easy. The bath area smells like cheese, its gross, its not cleaned between customers anymore. The walls are covered in hair and the drains don’t drain, the dryers suck, the water probably changes when they’re running a load in the back, or something, but it will flick from normal to extremely hot to normal to extremely cold. The employees weren’t friendly either, when we pulled into the parking lot we had the right of way coming in and an employee zoomed across the parking lot and intersection from the adjoining lots buildings. Maybe she was late, but come on, you wouldn’t get there any earlier if you’d hit someone.This place has gone downhill significantly and has the audacity to increase their prices just to offer less. Don’t even bother with the premium bath package.

Amazing variation of fish, my 2 stars are for the service. Was on the fish tank area for over 10 min. And nobody came by to ask if need it something; honestly wanted to get about 70 $ on fish or more but the 2 ladys on the front desk where to busy talking not even a welcoming or a goodbye. Wont be visiting here will stay at Lebanon store Hopefully they get there fishtanks remodel and bring way more fishes.!

I want to take some time to compliment an employee by the name of Crystal (could be spelled with a K). My daughter has wanted a fish tank for as long as I can remember, so this Christmas we gifted her with all the essentials to run a fish tank but wanted to let her pick out her own fish. We started looking at Petco and Petsmart (both Mckinney and Prosper locations) and were very turned off by the way they kept their fish tanks. I mean, they are fish, but you are selling them in the most disgusting fish tanks I've ever seen. Fish were on the bottom dead, you can't even see the fish because the tank have so much build up in their tanks. If you ask an employee about fish, they know nothing, not sure why they even sell the fish. They put a laminated picture of rocks and a laminated picture of plants on the back and that's the home they give their fish.At Pet Supermarket in McKinney, the tanks were so pristine! I told Crystal that the tanks look awesome and I cannot believe what we saw at Petco and Petsmart. Crystal cleans those tanks and knows A LOT about the fish. She was extremely helpful with this experience every step of the way. Pet supermarket also has actual plants, objects, and real rocks for their fish tanks. You can tell they care about their fish. I love the store, it is well organized and easy to find what you are seeking. However, the upkeep of inventory on dog food has been extremely poor. I purchase once monthly 3 bags of dog food because I never know when they will have the food back in stock and the staff never seems to know if it will be on the truck for Tuesday delivery or not. I'm not sure if it is incompetence on the managerial staff, by not properly entering inventory or if it is a warehouse issue, but it is frustrating that I have to drive 30 mins to another store only to find out they too, are out of foodI have had to go to 4 different stores in one day to find the correct food. I guess I will resort to ordering directly from the brand I need.

This is a great place for all your pet needs. They have a wide variety of all types of pet supplies for all kinds of pets. The prices seem to be very reasonable and the staff is very helpful. I especially like the dog washing center. It costs $10 and includes everything. All you need to bring with you is a brush because they supply all the shampoo, conditioner, towels, blow dryer, etc. It's a great bargan and it's super easy.

Castiel and I have been to Pet Supermarket several times and the staff is always very friendly. We love stopping by! Today we stopped in for a wheel for my pet mouse after looking for one in 3 other places and found it here for a much better price than the other locations we checked. I highly recommend stopping in if you need anything for your animals!

I take my dog here every few weeks to use the self service dog washing station. They have 3 separate wash tubs which are elevated & saves my back from hurting. They provide shampoo & towels & dryers & aprons(to keep you dry). It's never crowded & the stations are kept clean. The staff is always helpful & friendly & they offer a free frequent wash program too. I always leave with a clean, happy dog.

Place is not too busy right now. But I must say, I enjoy spending time and money here on my pets. The staff is extremely helpful, polite and chatty. They have a good selection of items and knowledgeable about their products. I recommend visiting, even if you just want to wash your pet... They have pet showers to rent.

I had never heard of this place. I had been at pet smart and the employees were rude. My friend and I got to looking for another store to go to and found this one not to far away. I was quite nervous given the experience I had just had. When we walked in we were greeted happily. Someone immediately asked if we'd like some help. The two ladies that helped us were phenomenal. Very knowledgeable. Their tanks were clean animals happy and thriving. Live plants for the aquariums were just beautiful and very well kept. I couldn't have been more pleased with my visit to pet supermarket. You guys rock!! Thank you so much!

My cousin’s home was hit by a tornado and only 4 fish survived. I brought the survivors in bowls and asked for help. After deciding to buy a new tank and set up I asked if I could use their water to fill the tank since the home didn’t have running water. They rudely said no and refused to help whatsoever. They also didn’t assist or advise what I needed to set up the new tank. God bless these young people.

I absolutely loved this pet store! This was one of my best experiences in a pet store in over 30 years of buying animals & fish. The staff were a tremendous help with their knowledge of fish & aquatic plants. They also didn't treat me like I had no clue how to care for fish. Do not shop here…..at least don’t order online. Their technical capabilities are not great to say the least. I made an online order for this store and after driving a long way to get there was told it was not registered with them but corporate had charged me already.Like, seriously? Aren’t we in 2023? You can’t process on online order properly 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Wasted time and money.

By far the best part store I've been to! All of the staff is really nice and friendly. They provide complementary shampoo, conditioner, and a blow-dryer at the dog washing station, which is only 10 dollars! They actually care about the animals which they are selling, which is amazing! They are able to price match from amazon, and any other pet store. They have become part of my pet shopping routine, and so far they've been nothing short from amazing!

This place is top notch and it's less than 5 minutes from my apartment. My dog was needing a bath and we saw they had a self serve bath here so we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed. The manger Sherry walked us through how to use the wash station and explained the different shampoos. They provided complimentary treats as well! Check out was smooth and only had to pay $10 and now Griff smells and look wonderful! We highly recommend this place and will be back!!

I'm a new owner of a dog after 20 years of having one. I'm so excited to have Sherry and her staff help me at Pet Super Market.They were so helpful and friendly. Besides giving my puppy treats, they were also so affectionate and accommodating. He even did his business in the store and they were so helpful with that as well.I highly recommend going here for a personal touch for our pet care needs.
