Smallest HEB ever lol. But it has everything you need. I love that it was short aisles and the walking it did was minimal as opposed to the giant HEB. Great for fast in and out.

This is a small H-E-B in Mathis. It's not as big heb plus but still has good quality items. This is not my H-E-B, but it is a nice store.

Lets start off with this slogan, "No store does more than your nearby H-E-B" this store located at 601 E San Patricio Ave in Mathis, has missed the mark. If this is the minimum you are supposed to do, this store is in trouble. If I could give it a no star I would. Customer service there is bad. While I was in there to return some items from another store, I was told we do not open customer service till 12 noon. I look at the website, it does not state CS opens at 12 pm, no mention of that. What is baffling, the person took the time to come out of an office. You are already there just take care of the customer. Yes, you do not have any competition in mathis, but this is why people travel to corpus, sinton and alice. This is all about customer service, I will not get in to the conditions of this store it not much better. I guess taking care of customers at HEB is a lost art.

Smaller store with all the staples at prices you'd expect. Well laid out for easy shopping and the store is clean and kept up which makes for a more pleasant visit.Checkout team was swift and efficient which sped up the overall shopping event.Overall the shelves were reasonably well stocked, although a bit sparse in a few areas such a pet food. Nonetheless we got almost everything we needed and will visit this store again next time we're in the area.

I know compared to your corpus or Austin H‑E‑B locations, this little store may dim in comparison.. but for this little town of mathis, this store is a staple and a necessity. Best place in mathis to get so many different things. I love HEB coupons through their app and in store - always great savings. The staff is really kind and patient - always friendly and smiling.The stock/variety of products is a little limited, but that’s what I would expect from a small town grocery.Produce is almost always so fresh and not over ripe. And their bakery is amazing♥️Thanks HEB! Love all you do for Texas.

Was having a hard time finding something and this wonderful young man, Greg, went out of his way to help me. Very helpful and extremely polite.Everyone at this store is usually very polite and helpful but Greg went the extra mile. He deserves a raise.I go to this HEB often as I'm a personal shopper and this is where everyone orders their groceries from. I have had the best experience with the people that work there. Dannetta (hope I spelled that right) is especially kind and goes out of her way to help me out. She deserves a raise.

Smallest HEB i have ever been in. But it did not disappoint they had pretty much almost every thing i needed , kitten food what is with the shortage of kitten food? Its not just HEB its other stores as well. The cashier was friendly.

My HEB is always clean, well staffed and stocked. I love shopping here. So does everyone else though. So with their curbside pick up and delivery we've got even more options to provide us with both the food we need and the safety of either staying home or in our own vehicle.

This location is ok for some staple items when needed, but I would not do regular shopping here. From my experience produce isn't always very fresh, they are consistently low on options and variety. Every time I have bought ice cream at this location it has had freezer burn. On this particular day the ice cream freezer was empty, the refrigerator deli meats was empty and the contents had been moved to the area in front of the bakery. I found the bacon but only 1 flavor option. The bakery area was nearly bare of any fresh baked rolls or breads. I was only able to find about half of what was on my grocery list.

You can never go wrong at our local HEB here in sinton Texas the office girls are always so friendly and willing to help you find whatever you need not to mention if they don't have it and you ask them to order it they'll try their best to get it for you thank you to our HEB

Friendly service but when customers asks repeatedly for much need item to be ordered it still Has NOT been ordered by grocery manager. Still have to 27 miles drive to Annaville Store to get things needed because they order and carry items you request. Such an inconvenience to customers needs.

Easy in easy out! It was a shorter trip. If you arent familliar with the area, this HEB can and will meet all of you basic needs but it also doesny have some of the newer items and thats okay, it is just a small town! But Staff are friendly, its a clean facility, and products are fresh!

Nice place to shop, but the management needs to stop the babysitting at checkout. As adults, we can social distance. While some wear mask and others don't, management continually does not enforce their so called policy equally on all. While I can go to HEB or Walmart in Corpus Christi and choose which line I can stand in, management in mathis still wants to micro manage its customers. While some have no choice but to shop here, I do. As a life long resident and veteran, I will take my business elsewhere. I am sure many have already done the same. Management needs to reevaluate there managing of customers, and realize that they themselves are not doctors. Furthermore the so-called line they have us all standing in is not even social distanced.

Mathis Heb was a good experience today. An employee was very helpful today she noticed from across the store that i was having trouble getting a pumpkin ot of the box cause of course the one I wanted was on the bottom. Very pleasant and helpful. Also at the checkout counter the courtesy clerk was very observant and noticed bob bottom of basket, he noticed a 12 pack of beer that the checker didnt scan. It was pleasant and not that busy.

I've lived here all my life. & never had problems until today. 5/13/2021. I went to buy grass & I was helping out by loading it myself while another employee helped another costumer. & I guess the manager or some little Joe pesci looking guy came out & said they had 2 load it . Mind you there was only 1 employee helping. He didn't even bother to help the one girl loading the grass by hand. Who ever he is he's trash.

Heb in mathis is a great store if you are in a hurry. They have lots of bakery items, which my husband loves. The store is ran efficiently when there are a lot of ppl there...shh not like the alice Walmart where there workers hide. Heb hands up for good service.

I went into HEB to purchase one item for dinner today. I was looking for a 4lb bag of casserole pinto beans but I only found the 1 lb bag. Was wondering if there was a way of ordering the 4lb bag instead of me having to drive 12 miles to Lowe's in Orange Grove and pay almost $8 for the same size. Hopefully the new grocery mgr will see about getting this item for me and anyone else who uses this brand of pinto beans.
