I have been going to Water Garden Gems Garden to get supplies for our backyard pond and I have been happy with their selection. Today I got some lily pads. They have limited supplies of aquatic plants but you might want to call first to see if their supply truck has delivered their fresh products.You might want to take the backroads since IH10 is under construction and you will spend most of your day on the highway.I came home and started working our pond. Now I need to redo my waterfall.They are very helpful there at Gems Garden. They can answer your questions.Wish you well with your project...👍

We love taking a road trip to this garden. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. We have a 100 gallon water trough and we purchase all our plants and fish here. Whenever I have a question about my waterlily’s, I can just give them a call as well. Very tranquil place.

Very unique place! If you need water plants or fish for your pond or water feature, this is the place to go. I have never seen this type of business anywhere else!

Gary (owner) and his crew did an awesome job on my pond. My pond had to be completely torn down and re-done due to the poor construction by a previous contractor. Carlos, Enrique and Daniel were very knowledgeable, explained the process and made me feel they would make it right. Gary came over and made sure I was happy with the end result and made sure the pond looked natural. I highly recommend Water Garden Gems and the entire staff for their professionalism and knowledge. They will be completing other projects for me as well.

Updated Review I understand and really appreciate you taking in koi that people can no longer care for.But during our visit today for the show, we saw several goldfish in the pavillion with ich, and at least one dead in a neighboring tank, still marked for sale, I get that they weren't "part of the show, and that you will have sick fish and issues when you sell fish as a business, but it's just such a disappointment to see again especially since they were still marked for sale, and didn't have any quarantine notification like one of the koi tanks did.Everyone was helpful and friendly, but the fish, especially the fancy goldfish looked sparse and unhealthy including a few dead that we saw in the tanks of for sale fish.There is also a pond in the very front of the property where the koi looked starved, not the best way to start the visit. Now it's important to note that I don't think these koi were for sale, this could just be where they put there unhealthy koi, I don't know.The other ponds on the property seemed much better, with much healthier fish, and most of the large koi for sale were very nice. Unfortunately it was hard to see the smaller stock because if the air pump location in the tanks, but they seemed pretty active.They did have a good selection of pond equipment and were very helpful with customer questions.And they have some really nice concrete fountains and statues.

Staff is very knowledgeable. Well stocked with all of your pond needs from plants, fish, and equipment. The various water features give you lots of ideas that will work for you. I have to say the water lillies are my favorite. Mine are doing great purchased just two weeks ago and already blooming.

PSA! Purchased a “Hardy” water lily a few weeks ago, the plant started to die and called Water Garden Gems to see what they could do about it and they said all purchases final and would not offer any kind of warranty. I googled the symptoms of the plant and disease was one possible cause of its death. Posting this as a *WARNING* to other customers, this business does not offer warranty on plants and they are twice as expensive as other nurseries! Buy your lily’s from Rainbow Gardens in San Antonio, they are very reasonably priced at $30-$35 instead of the outrageous price Water Garden Gems sells them for at $65!!

I dont have any photos of them but when I was little I cane here with my grandma to pick out kois~! I fell in love with all of them and honestly, it was really shopper friendly and welcoming! I plan to shop here in the future when I finally make myself a koipond! This place was really cool! Thank you guys 💕💞💕💞 (Also their fountains looked phenomenal at a fairly good price 💞💕💞!)

A wide variety of equipment, supplies, ornamentation and fish for the novice to expert, and most everyone in between.Shane is a wealth of knowledge and spent a considerable amount of time with me to better help me understand the system I inherited with a home purchase and how to best rehabilitate it back to pristine condition. I can't say enough about the knowledge base of the owner and family/staff on site and their customer service emphasis.

I usually don't leave reviews but I had to do one for them :). What an amazing experience!!! The whole team is SO knowledgeable, honest and helpful!!! You can even rent a pond vacuum and they will SHIP supplies if you live too far. Great job guys!!!

I love the owners/salespeople and atmosphere at Water Garden Gems. Shane can "McGyver" anything, the product selection is great, the advice and explanations are excellent, and of course you have to love all the fish, water lilies, and ponds. I've been a customer for 20 years and have never been dissatisfied.

The owner Shane is amazing. He is very into the water features, it is definitely a hobby for him. Also, if you want to do a water feature, he will literally draw the plans out on a piece of paper for you, and make a list of what you need, and help you get the best quality products that will last the longest since they will be constantly under water. You can find cheaper stuff on amazon, but there is no way I would do it after getting his expertise and product recommendations. He also teaches classes on water gardens and has dependable contractors he recommends. Another cool thing is that he has his family work with him and has nice little scriptures around that brighten your day.

I was very disappointed today. I had purchased 4 hornwart oxygenator potted plants and they were very sparse in the pots. They were mostly mud and the plants were just thrown in the pots and covered in the mud. I had to rinse and replant them when I got home. I have bought some of these plants here before and was completely satisfied. I don't know what has happened to the service and quality of your establishment. I won't be returning here again!!

Been here a few times. It's a beautiful place. Make sure to give yourself extra time though. It's incredibly hard to just walk in and out. There is so much to see. The kids love it. Shawn is incredible, friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Shane and his family are great. I have acquired nearly everything for my pond here from liners to pumps to many of my goldfish and all my koi have come from here. I have had lots of help with questions to keep my pond in tip top condition. Wouldnt go anywhere else for my pond needs. Not to mention the koi festival is a great event for pond and fish lovers.
