I’ve been here in marfa for a while and man let me tell you there’s never someone at the cashier. They have a cow bell you ring it once and nobody shows up.. I ring it again a wait for a little bit and still nothing. I ring it the third time and a few moments later the dollar store working comes out rude rolling her eyes at us didn’t even say a word only the total of everything we bought. As a person who works for customer service that is no way to treat a person who is purchasing at your store. This really needs to change!!

Disgusting bathroom!!!! The door knob is gone and there is a string to open it from inside. The hole from the knob missing is wide open for anyone to see. Not as bad as the lock is broke so someone can open the door and see you doing your business! I asked a clerk if there was another bathroom and she said no and offered to guard the door so noone walked in. Oh and it's a unisex bathroom at that! Dollar general can't afford a knob with a lock??!!!

It’s a Dollar Tree - it ain’t gonna be quality, but it has more stuff than most of the other stores in Marfa. Oddly - no one had sun shades but this place came through for us!

There is usually only one cashier when you shop here, so be prepared to wait if there's a lot of people. Most of the staff is friendly and it's clear employee turn over is high. It is much better than years before though, when the truck was always in the back and never on the shelf.

Quite surprised to see this Dollar General open on New Year's. Foot traffic was light due to limited shoppers around 5:00 pm, and both Jimmy and I were very pleased to see the aisles were somewhat clear of unpacked stock making our shopping experience very pleasant. Nice array of colorful winter apparel for men, women and children. For hungry souls in search of quick bargains, their palattes were appeased with impressive options to select from. Well stocked coolers ensured there were food options for even the most finicky consumers. All in all, the items we went searching for were in-stock and the personable and friendly cashier made our shopping trip, on the first day of the year, most pleasurable. We award this Dollar General 4 gold stars.

It's the only store that offers what a grocery store can't, but the management is obviously not management material and you can tell they are way out of their league there. Needs a new manager and shift leader along with good staff to be a great store again.

Always clean, fairly orderly and we'll stocked. The staff is helpful and friendly. We drive a few extra miles to visit this store because we prefer it to other options.

Went for a USB-C charger. All their phone charging cords are in the buckets that are labeled incorrectly. I literally went through 70 different cords and looked in three different areas of the store before I found one USB-C charger. That was pretty painful!

Store is dirty and has very little selection on the shelves. Most of their stock sits in boxes clogging up isle space. Staff is friendly, that's about the only positive thing about this store. I would go elsewhere, but Marfa doesn't have elsewhere to go as far as a dollar store.

I was standing in the check-out line. An off duty employee walked up and stood in front of me. When I started to get ready to check-out, she put her stuff ahead of mine. I said to her, I am next. She said back to me she was next. I left the store. This store in VanHorn should have a sign.... "American men stay out". They seem to only want Mexican women in the store.

Like 10 people in line waiting to pay, cashier stepped outside the store and took like 15 mins. To get back so people left the store including myself. It's terribly organized in everyway.

This is not your common dollar general, this store has a wide array of items, and it is your best option since the nearest walmart is 1.5 hours drive.
