The best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life….I’m not sure what I ordered. I asked the cashier to pick her two favorites. The homemade bread is phenomenal- the sesame seeds made it over the top. Great wine list. The chop salad was wonderful. My one regret is not trying the gelato- I was too full.It is dog friendly.

I was here for lunch and it was so good it made me want to come back for dinner. Absolutely incredible sandwiches with amazing fresh baked bread. My daughters had Italian sodas with their meal and the flavors were spot-on refreshing. We managed to get in just before they sold out of major items, so we considered ourselves lucky. Great spot to come once and then return to every chance you get.

We had an amazing meal at Bordo! We were just in town from Minnesota for a short time and several locals recommended we go here. Everything in our 6 course meal was exquisite. The presentation was equally beautiful. The drinks were so tasty as well, the passion fruit drink especially because you could smell the passion fruit with each sip. Our server, one of the owners, had such a lovely style. Thank you, what a treat.Wheelchair accessibility: My mom used a wheelchair and they prioritized seating us in an accessible location. Also, my dad uses hearing aids and is sensitive to loud music and they turned down the music for us—thank you!

This is one of the best kept secretes in Texas. My husband and I both said it was the best sandwiches ever. The ingredients were fabulous and the couple who own this beautiful spot are so amazing. They love what they do. They have such grace when you compliment them. Such joy !!!Thank you so much for a party in my mouth and stomach.

When everyone in town tells you to go to Bordo’s, you go! Life changing sandwiches, warm hospitality, and food that’s clearly made with love. Try the mortadella stracciatella sandwich with pistachio butter, heck, try two! The texture of the chewy bread is immediately satisfying and unlike traditional Italian bread, perfectly salted and not dry. The extra shaving of parmigiano and pistachio sprinkles on top of the bread can not go unmentioned either. They create an extra layer of texture that contrasts perfectly to the rich, slightly sweet slathering of house-made pistachio butter. This is sandwich art people, go to Bordo’s now!

Amazing food, great service. The employees greeted & treated us like we’ve known each other for years.Only downside during the wintertime is the outdoor seating, it was so cold/windy that it was hard to enjoy our sandwiches!

Stopped in to Bordo for lunch after our tour at Chinati (at the recommendation of our guide) and were blown away by how good the experience was. The staff execute with a laid-back confidence and clearly love what they're doing. The free slices of prosciutto I was handed while waiting to order really set the tone for what was to come: the best Italian sandwich I've had Stateside! Be sure to grab a spritz with your order, and maybe a low-key espresso before you leave. Grazie mille alla squadra.

The food, staff and even the design of the space absolutely blew me away. This might be some of the best dishes I have ever tasted in my entire life! We even ordered 2 more Italian sodas (get the Luxardo Cherry) because they were that good. I would give 100 stars if I could.

Amazing all around. Spent a weekend in Marfa and had lunch here every single day, it was the highlight of our trip. Every single detail is so perfectly curated. From the branding and color scheme to the careful selection of ingredients, you can really tell everything they do is well-thought out and intentional. Menu is seemingly simple but the level of care and quality of ingredients elevate everything to a whole new level. The pasta is made in house and perfectly cooked, the salads are simple but perfectly seasoned and the sandwich bread, which is made every day fresh in their patio, is out of this world and unlike anything I’ve ever had. Tried a couple sandwiches on their menu and although all of them were spectacular, the Serva is without a doubt the star or the show and the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The crispy potatoes are magic too.It may sound crazy but the most amazing thing about this place is not even the food but the people behind it, specially Angelo and Hannah. Upon entering you are always greeted with a smile, always happy to recommend and talk to you despite the long line out the door. They remembered us by name and thanked us for coming back every time. You can tell this is a labor of love and that is what truly makes it stand out. Bordo has my heart and I can’t wait to go back.

Bittersweet review.......I can't wait to get in to order the delicious, homecooked food and support the friendly, helpful, hardworking owners. But I can't wait to get out becauseof the high decibel level of music in such a claustrophobic space. Why must restaurants ruin what might otherwise be such a lovely dining experience where one can carry on a conversation in peace while digesting their delicious food? My solution is to call in an order and take it home.Vegetarian options: Delicious pasta dishes.

Marfa’s best new lunch spot. Cute as can be, with a pistachio and orange color palette that feels like a mirage in the desert. Crusty homemade bread of dreams, gelato, Italian cream soda, spectacular pastas and vibrant salads. The staff are so awesome; they shared some of their pasta-making knowledge with us and waved goodbye when we pulled away. We were so crushed that they were closed when we visited two days later.

Stopped on my way out of town and it was the cherry on top! Love a good sandwich and they make them the best. Got the Emiliani, which had the classic prosciutto, arugula, and parmesan, but what made it special is the chestnut honey and lemon zest! So good. The basil stracciatella gelato topped with olive oil and sea salt, sounds like a lot going on I know, but was so delightful. Love that everything is made in house too.

What a surprise - was not expecting this kind of Italian food in Marfa. Mushroom pasta was out of this world. Staff were super accommodating of dietary restrictions when we asked to swap a sandwich ingredient, which we really appreciated. Menu is limited for vegetarians but the limited options themselves are great so it doesn’t really matter. Italian soda was very fresh. Gelato flavors were unique, we got the honey sesame and it was so good. They also have a neat selection of bread, cheese, and pasta. Must visit if you are in Marfa!

Bordo is a dream! You must make time to visit. I daydream about the Cashiola sandwich and spritz and wish I didn’t live so far away! The service is the kindest you’ll experience in town. The owners, Hannah and Michael, are so passionate about the food and ensuring their guests have a wonderful time. I’ve ordered their handmade pasta online and it ships beautifully and almost makes me feel like I’m dining at Bordo again. I can’t wait to return!

Elevated Dining at the Desert RoadsideOne of the best sandwiches I've had in years came from this modest shop in Marfa, TX. I had the Serva, and loved every bite, from the bread to the pistachio to the stracciatella. Mr. Serva himself was making the bread while I ate, pointing to the freshness of everything served on the premises. The attention to building a coherent flavor, to quality ingredients, and to serving make for a complete, elevated dining experience at this little restaurant in the desert. I just wish I’d had room in my bag to take some home.

Thoughtful menu items each prepared with high quality ingredients. We had the Cashiola sandwhich, Chop Salad and Mushroom Pasta. The sandwich was excellent with house made bread and fine salamis. My mom and sister did not care for the overpowering Calabrian Chili on the salad but if you're into chili you'll dig it. The house made pasta is great and if you're a lover of quality pasta, this will be your jam.We all shared gelatos (wedding cake, chocolate and one other I can remember). The gelato is the real deal - super creamy and rich. The place is pricey but you're not going to find this level of authenticity, quality and thoughtfulness in making great Italian food unless you drive to Dallas or Houston. So don't pass up this place.

These sandwiches are worth an hour drive from I-10. The ingredients are beyond fresh and the bread is absolutely incredible. The pastas are so hearty and everything we ate was fantastic.Vegetarian options: Most of the menu is vegetarian friendly. The salads and pastas are incredible.Dietary restrictions: Everything is made fresh, and if you have a dietary restriction do not hesitate to let them know. So many diverse options, the combinations are endless.

My wife and I stopped here in March 2023 and we had a delicious experience. The cuisine is delightful - handmade breads and pastas. The owners are fun and kind. They have such a nice vision for what they want to give the Marfa community. We are so glad we visited Bordo and honestly I am still thinking about how tasty my sandwich was to this day. Go here for lunch, you won’t regret it!
