Food was good but a little disappointed that a plate of 2 tacos was $14 and didn't come with any rice or beans. I get that they are fillers but who in their right mind would order 4 small tacos for $30 to get full, in Texas, in basically a border town to Mexico?!?!? Was interested in trying the paella but didn't get a chance to. The queso and the pâtè toast were decent and not unreasonably priced.

What a gem. Seriously. I know I haven’t been anywhere in over a year, but this place is amazing. The vibe, the music, the staff, the food. Just, one of the most charming places I’ve ever been to, even before being confined to our couch. The owner was so incredibly nice. He even brought a birthday cake to my husband. The pulled pork tacos were some of the best tacos I’ve ever tasted. Yes yes that’s a very big statement, but I stand by it. We had some super tasty wine and a meat and cheese board that looked like art and tasted like delicious food, as it should be. The aesthetic of the place and the music just blend perfectly with the food and I can’t say enough incredible things about this place. Go take a look! Have a glass of wine and some tacos! It’ll be a really nice day.

Wonderful food, wonderful people. Due to daylight savings we showed up almost an hour before they were to open. Even though they were still setting up they treated us like family. Queso was a great start to the meal. We also ordered pulled pork tacos, and chicken soup. All delicious. Great atmosphere to the place with outdoor park bench seating. Order at the kitchen window and they'll bring out the food. Felt so comfortable we thought about staying and drinking until dinner. Definitely worth a visit.

Best meal in Marfa! Extremely impressed with the food and service, as well as price point contrary to the negative reviews on here that were upset by prices “for a small town”*. You get what you pay for and that means the best smoked chicken in Texas. The whole chicken is a great value as it comes with veggies. I had the cauliflower salad and veggie tacos. The flavors in the salad were amazing and not something I could replicate at home so again, totally worth the money. Living in Texas I eat Tacos weekly and thought the veggies tacos were among the best due to the freshness of the ingredients. The staff was friendly and accommodating at answering all our questions and staying open later to allow us to place an order. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Al Campo.*ignore the one star reviews that expect a small town to have cheap food. Marfa food prices are on par with Austin, Dallas, and Houston and of the same, if not better quality.

Went here based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Tried the AC board, albeit it was definitely on the pricier end, the presentation and the flavor of all the different items were great. The short rib over cheese grits(?), it was the special for the day item, was absolutely phenomenal! The meat was super soft and tender, slipped right off the bone and full of flavor. The cheese grits underneath was subtle enough that it didn't overbear the ribs, again paired together it was just delicious. It needs to be added as a permanent item on the menu. Definitely an interesting spot and worth stopping by if your visiting or passing through Marfa.

We arrived at 7pm on a friday and while the location was busy there was still plenty of seating. They have a pleasant wine selection and an excellent menu, many of which are gluten free. We got the charcuterie board and pulled chicken tacos and they were both excellent. I would have preferred to have some sort of vinegar with the board, everything was pretty much all sweets with some spicy but no acid. All in all? I enjoyed my visit and highly recommend them.

Love the vibes of this place. All of the food was delicious - some of the best paella I've ever had - and the service and atmosphere was even better. Our waitress was a super cool chick who killed us with kindness. On top of that, it was a chilly night, and the manager brought us heavy blankets so we could sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of the wine garden. Great dining experience. Don't be deceived by small town Marfa when it comes to restaurants. They know what they're doing on the foodie scene!

Excellent dinner and great atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating and COVID safe. The beet salad was a bit heavier than we like, but the soup of the day (chicken) was bomb.Get the pork tacos! I almost went back for a second order of them.

Delicious food and friendly service. Their menu is very limited but they absolutely nail everything dish.Every dish is fully realized. The 8 hr chicken was juicy, tender and fell off the bone over mashed potatoes. The roasted cauliflower was paired with quinoa and roasted vegetables which made it balanced and tasty. And the beet salad hit every texture.I’d go back to Marfa just to eat here again! Definitely a must. Also, there’s a tiny tattoo shop in the back that will give you the perfect souvenir.

Limited menu shines in this hidden oasis! We enjoyed a lovely seat on the patio. Great atmosphere and awesome indie mix of music. We enjoyed a few drinks and ordered the mushrooms, half smoked chicken, pork tacos and carrots. All of the food was fantastic very tasty and nice presentation. I’d return in a heartbeat. Only drawback is there were way too many flies we hope the owners can somehow find a fix to this.

I wasn't expecting to eat the best chicken taco I've ever had, but that's what just happened here. I say this as someone who eats tacos very, very often.Aside from that: the service was great, the decor rustic yet modern, the wine fairly priced and quality. The mushrooms and queso were also very delicious. Couldn't be more satisfied!

This place is AMAZING! The food was amazing and even the more complicated dishes came out quickly. All of the staff were overly polite and generous. The atmosphere is amazing. If you're in town, it's the best decision you'll make all day.

Really amazing food and great wine selection. I had the Argentinian pot pie and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve even eaten. Seriously. We also had the Cauliflower salad, which was also delicious. the atmosphere was really cozy and there were lots of games and cards to play while drinking out wine before dinner. A nice touch. It was super cold outside, but it seems like that would be a fun place to hang out in warmer weather. They also had a fire going out there, which would have been nice to stand by if we would have had to wait for an indoor table.

Phenomenal! We stopped in for a quick bite and we were both blown away. I ordered the kinilaw which honestly was the best ceviche I’ve ever tasted. Typically it is served by itself but I ordered some tortilla chips which were served dusted with a tajin-type mix and sea salt. My partner ordered one of the rice plates (photographed) which had him silent from enjoyment during our meal. Decor was wonderful, a dreamy ambiance with the vines shading our table. We will definitely come back

Been here many times for the Queso, wine and atmosphere. Simply the best.Had family in town, came in for dinner and was blown away with the AC board and steak. Which was cooked to perfection and so juicy. Really enjoyed all the different cheese options.

The service was fast and friendly here. Everyone was masked up and very careful about keeping distance. I had the pork tacos and queso for one meal. They were so good i came back for the chicken tacos to go later. It seemed like a cool place to hang out.

AWESOME. Charcuterie board was one of the best we’ve ever had. Tons of space outside and service was prompt. We’ve been to so many wine bars over the years but this was one of our top 10. Only thing they could improve would be adding Texas wine to the list. Suggest Wright vineyard in fort Davis.

So happy we stumbled on to this restaurant. We were trying to find another restaurant and got somewhat lost and drove by this place. The wait was too long at the original restaurant we wanted to go to and so we tried Al Campo. We would have come here first if we would have known about it. The tacos we had were great and they had a good selection of wine and beer. The outdoor seating was nice and the atmosphere was great as well. We will definitely be back.

This is a gem of a place. The pork/chicken taco and beef salad were perfectly done, but the kinilaw (which is a Tagalog word for pickled anything) is even better. I give it an "A' for outdoor seating and customer service. The menu is eclectic and unexpected but the food hits the spot.

Where do I start? The atmosphere alone will put you in awe. The decor, the music, the lightning - I have no idea who created this magical combination, but they need their own show on HGTV. You WILL love it.Even though the atmosphere alone will make you want to come back, the food here is absolutely superb. I used to think I’ve tried the best queso at Mexican Sugar, but I was wrong. Their chips (what on earth do you sprinkle on them to make them taste so good?) and queso is just phenomenal. The steak and the veggies we’ve ordered were absolutely delicious as well (whatever flavors that the steak is in will make you shed happy tears). The service is also one of the best you’ll ever experience. It’s laid back, extremely friendly, and you’ll be well taken care of during your meal. We are already looking forward to combing back when we visit next time.

Great food and atmosphere! Love their food and setting. Wished they were open more days! Really need to improve your hours and days. Closed weekends, busiest times and when visitors are in town. Same story at alot of places. Come lunch/dinner time, it's like pulling a tooth to be able to find a restaurant to eat at.

We’re traveling from Chicago, and if you’ve been to Chicago, you’ll know Randolph Street, where best foods and fancy restaurants are. We all agree that Al Campo can perfectly fit in there (and easily beat some restaurants).Prices are super cheap. Portion is not bad. Service is welcoming. Environment is a huge plus.

Amazing spot! Great selection of drinks and food. We tried the empanadas, AC board (meat and cheese and other stuff platter), and pork paella. Everything was great. Nice atmosphere as well, they make feel right at home.

One of the few places that was open although they did close at 6:00pm. We stumbled upon this great find. They have a small yet fantastic menu. It’s so much better to do few things right. Be sure to check out the daily entree. We had the smoked chicken which was quite yummy, well seasoned. We also had the cauli salad and barbacoa tacos.

We went for a light dinner on a Friday evening. Laid back outdoor eating with many places to sit, but they still had a unique menu with excellent presentation. Huge beer, wine, and cocktail menu and smoking is cool too! The goatcheese cake was da bomb!

We ate there twice during our two-day stay in Fort Davis. The first night was just a quick stop for chips/queso and pre-dinner drinks since we had dinner reservations nearby. The queso was great! Service was great. The building itself was really neat. We went back the next night for dinner and had the best charcuterie and smoked chicken in our lives. Thank you Al Campo!

This place is nothin' but good vibes. The second you walk through the door, the service is authentically friendly and fun. I asked what their vegetarian options were and the chef was kind enough to make their delicious tacos with their brined cauliflower and they were honestly the best tacos I've had in Texas. Ashley, our server for the evening, was so nice to talk to and gave us a terrific experience. Love thinking back to the night we stumbled upon this beautiful little place in the dreamland of Marfa.

Food is ok, but for a small town I was sticker shocked at the restaurant's prices. La Paella was extremely salty (I think it was the pork in it) and the corn beef had no beef, unless I got the wrong dish, but it was good. I'm not sure who Juan is but his bread was really good.

This place is the absolute BEST! Just the perfect everything. From decor to music to wait staff and definitely the food!! Best queso I've had. Currently sitting here still with my mom in a downpour and felt the need to post how great the owner and server have been the whole time. Our server, Hupp, went to his car in the pouring rain to retrieve an umbrella so I could use the bathroom (bathrooms outside). The owner offered to get us new salads and queso as ours had been rained on a bit. The service is outstanding. Have never enjoyed being outside in the middle of a thunderstorm like this.

For a local population of around 2000, this town has tons of crazy good gourmet food. There's an array of seating options at Al Campo from indoor, covered outdoor, and more open seating, where locals and travelers struck up conversations while enjoying the food. The chicken tacos were moist and wonderfully flavorful. Half way thru was when my mouth started burning from the deceptive spicy heat that likes to sneak up on you like a panther.
