The most delicious sourdough bread I have had in my 35 long life living in the US (and I truly know what a good bread should taste like). The owner of this cafe would make a fortune in New York City! And thanks to this bread the BLT sandwich was really delicious. My friend had an orange almond olive cake and it was heaven—delicate, moist, full of flavor. Aster cafe is a gem.

Cozy little place for Great breakfast or lunch.Convenient location in Marfa just tucked behind hotel Paisano. Food is hearty homemade. The bagels are excellent with tender texture and loaded with seeds. Sandwiches are made with sourdough - perfect carrier for meats and a pop of green. The place is definitely tight with 6/7 tables inside and on a nice day a seat outdoors can be just what the lunch time needs.Happy eating

We are so very lucky to have Aster in Marfa. The baked goods are AMAZING. My favs are the cheesecakes, cherry meringue pie, olive oil cake, and the oatmeal cookie (no raisins! Praise be!). The poached eggs are amazing every single time, the kale salad is out of this world, and it’s the best bagel I’ve had since I left Philadelphia. Seriously, the bagel game here is worthy of any New York deli. The staff is friendly and hard working. The owner cares about the community and took great care of them (and their customers) during the pandemic. It’s a small town and a small spot, so sometimes there’s a wait. The patio is a great place to meet new friends, read a book, and people watch.I recommend this place to anyone. The money you spend here is worth every dime and pays for equitable pay, locally sourced ingredients, and a bakery in the middle of the desert.

Found this quaint little cafe on our way to New Mexico from Big Bend. I had the Turkey & Swiss sandwich and my husband had the BLT. They were served with a side salad. The sandwiches were simple but tasty. The salad looks ordinary, but was extremely delicious. We also purchased some Big Bend Honey and have been enjoying it ever since.

Pretty expensive place for the middle of nowhere Texas. Limited menu- and since I'm allergic to sesame I settled on their weekend special eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Though pricey, it was actually the best eggs Benedict I've ever had (and I dont really like eggs benedict). That hollandaise sauce was fantastic. Space is really small though so sitting inside will be difficult during busy hours.

Our favorite spot during the Marfa trip! This tucked-away cafe offers fresh, well-flavored baked goods, salads, burgers, and warm plates with ingredients from local producers, plus a selection of mimosas. Everything was delicious and well portioned, great for sharing amongst friends. Overall great value for price and ideal spot for casual quick bites.

One of my favorite places to grab breakfast in Marfa. The bacon is crispy and the bread is perfect. This small cafe packs a flavor punch and is surrounded by beautiful trees. A great place to bring your pup too. Enjoy!

Coleyworld approved! 💜Cutest little breakfast spot tucked between two old buildings and had that old historical building structure kind of vibe. Breakfast was perfect but oh em geeee the sourdough bread and jelly were out of this WORLD.It’s the simple things.

Friendly staff, they bring your food out to you. Ordered the two eggs and iced coffee. Sadly they don’t have mimosas anymore.

The layout of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, however the staff is dismissive and cold. The food took 45 minutes and it was not even that good. I mean if you like green bread and mushy meat, I bet you'd love this place, but you probably need help. I spent 22 dollars on a single burger and I regret giving money to this place. Ew.

If I lived in Marfa, I would eat here everyday. Everything was delicious and fresh made. Friendly staff, cozy location. Breakfast sandwich is messy but worth it and very delicious. The eggs and bacon plate is just enough with their lovely baked bread. Also the chocolate croissant is perfect with a cup of coffee. Also we took some bagels and a scone togo. Loved everything!

We stopped by right before closing time and picked up some bagels to go and they were DELICIOUS. I was planning to save them for some sandwiches the next day but ended up eating most of them immediately or just snacked on throughout our day walking around Marfa. So fresh and a great taste.

Great place for an outdoor brunch in Marfa! I had the waffle and the prickly pear mimosa 😋Please note Marfa is a small town. We went an 1 hour / 30 min before closing and some of the items were sold out, understandably. I was happy with the waffle.

Good food quality but low quantity. Be prepared that the full menu may not be available. I suspect that a lack of stocking their kitchen led to the light serving sizes. Don't expect table service, you stand in line at the cashier to order and clear your own table. Very cramped and dirty dining areas. If you like a glass of water with your meal, bring your own, they will sell you a can of it for $3.

We ate at Aster twice while in Marfa. Their breakfast and brunch selections are divine! You can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

This place can get pretty busy because it’s not that big.We came for brunch on a Sunday. My friend’s portion of the cured/smoked salmon was not cool. It’s like they forgot another piece. Lol. Good for Marfa I suppose. The best thing was the apple dessert!

I didn't snap a picture as I was so hungry but the bagel I had for breakfast was amazing! The coffee was also very tasty. There was a small line waiting for them to open but the line moved pretty fast. They have some seating inside but a lovely outdoor, shaded patio is the spot. Please be kind to the staff. It's a small town and they don't have massive amounts of fresh baked goods. Get there early to get what you want and if they are out, don't be a jerk! They have plenty of other tasty options.Don't miss this place when you're in Marfa!
