Usually this is a great store but yesterday I bought cat food 25% off and the food gave my cats diarrhea. Fed them once and it was a disaster. Is the Wellness grain free can food as you can see in the picture.They should not be selling spoiled food.Also, I've fed my cats the Wellness brand before and they liked it fine.I was going to return it but one, I can't find the ticket and two, I really don't want them to sell it to someone else.

Visited this shop today looking for some tropical fish for my aquarium. The staff is very knowledgeable about the fish that they have. They are very honest about the products they sell. They were upfront about some of their fish tanks being observed for sickness, which I really appreciate. I will return when shopping for my aquarium needs.

This is my Husband and I go to pet store! They have the medicated food that our cat needs, as well as so many fun toys and games for our cat. They have supplies for all animals, including a convenient dog washing station. The staff are super friendly and helpful! We love going here

We stopped in to price check fish and they had fancy guppies at the best price in town that we saw so we bought some. Our 6 kids who picked fish out (we brought 9 kids) kept changing their minds but the staff was very nice and informative. All three were back with us at one point when no other customers were there helping us fish. We had a good experience.

Place seems nice and clean like that about it. I've gotten some parakeets from here a long time ago. Was a good experience having them and now have parrots! Nice selection of fish if your a fish person. Prices are high on everything right now so loose a star for the price gouging!

My card was hit for over $400. Came into have it refunded to my card. Was told all I can do is call IT. I said why can you not refund my card. I got the response I can not open the register for a refund. I said refund my card. Oh the Manger comes in at 11 am. It is 9am. Train your people right or have a manager on staff at all times.

Absolutely LOVE this store! So neat, clean and well organized! Well staffed and great customer service! Wish they had in store grooming...however, they have a fantastic option. The nicest area to self wash your pet. This has all the proverbial bells and whistles! They have 3 bays for bathing your pet, all of them can accommodate either a large (deep)or small (shallow) animal. For those of us who have bad backs and/or knees this takes the pain out of trying to bathe them in a bathtub!!! You can secure your fur baby while washing, they provide a selection of products or you van bring your own, they provide the best microfiber drying towels on the market and also the use of prof grooming blow dryers. For those who aren't familiar with the full grooming process they have these step by step posted at each bay.I believe they have an employee that is assigned to this gated areawhenever it is being used. The cost for using this is only $10.00 per pet!!! My groomers charge me $55.00 per dog (I have 2 Westies) for a full groom or $35.00 each just to bathe and dry. I should have taken a photo when I was there to attach to this review. I plan on taking both of my pups there this week. One at a time as I am single. I will be sure to update this review afterwards and will include photos !!!

I didn't buy anything here yet, but this place is very clean and doesn't have a "pet store oder". The animals look well taken care of and they have self service dog wash stations.

I have gone into this store twice. The first experience I wasn’t greeted by anyone. My kids and I were looking to get some fish and a few items for our new aquarium. We stood at the back with 0 interaction from the staff, eventually walked out and went to the other pet store. The second time was moments ago. I thought “maybe they had a bad day and as I was going to be shopping at HEB it seemed like a smart idea to pick up my filters here. I was actually greeted this time by the cashier who quickly set their cell phone down. I walked to the back, picked up my filters and by the time I walked to the front the cashier was gone. I waited for about 2 minutes before stating “Hello???” I could hear the two staff members actively talking. In the back area, I waited another 4 minutes or so then decided “this isn’t worth being ignored” and walked right out, leaving my items at the register. I NEVER write reviews (positive or negative) but having this happen TWICE (within 3 months might I add) seems less coincidence and more poor staffing.

We brought our dog to use the bathing stations, and while the bathing stations were very nice setups... The dryer's didn't work! The only drying station that was operational had an extremely slippery and dangerous mat on top that kept sliding everywhere. The three employees behind the counter offered no assistance with my obvious struggle. Furthermore my Husband had taken my son over to look at the fish tanks and most of the tanks had dead fish stuck in the filters!!! What in the world is going on!? I don't typically write scathing reviews, but something needs to be addressed with this particular store.

Went in to look at the betta fish, there was 6 or 7 on the shelf, all of them were dead. Not good at all. Won’t be purchasing a betta from here.

Great selection of dog and cat stuff. They have cats from Hill Country Humane Society. Friendly people make it so nice to shop there. They're always helping me find stuff for my fur kids. Pets are allowed and they don't care if they're pit bulls. Great people work here, great place for fur kids

Every one at Pet Supermarket treats us with genuine care. They give us great advice as if our pet was their pet. I also love the wash your pet area. They provide the dog shampoo, towels and even a hair dryer to help dry your dog faster, everything at a great price.

Usually don't have any issues at the store but went in on Jun 23 to look for a bandage for one of my pets. I wanted something that I could wrap the wound up and it not stick to their fur. It seemed like a very reasonable request but the lady there looked at me like I was crazy and told me the only thing they had were the cones for the necks. Odd for a pet "supermarket" not to have even ace wrap for the pets so I went back to the other one in town which had much better selection and knew what we were looking for when asked.

Pricey on some items but good selection. Since you're going to save money on gas to Austin, and your time, the prices may even out. Friendly and helpful staff who are easily found and truly helpful make this an option to consider, especially for exotic pet needs.

Didn't have the crickets I needed, but will go back again.EDIT: Returned & got my crickets! Also the pet washing stations are really cool. Will definitely take the dog there to get a proper wash.

I was there today and all the bird's look sick cage's are very nasty and not enough room in the cage for all those bird's.The fish tanks lights are off because the tanks are nasty and bunch of dead fish in all of them maybe you might consider closing your store so the animals won't be missed treated.

My husband and I had the best experience the young gentelman that was helping us find what we needed for our dog was also showing us around the store. While I was interested in the baby ball python they had there he had no hesitation getting him out and letting me hold him on top of that the sand Cobra and their little geckos they had we had so much fun their.

They don't honor their word I bought some clippers 4/27/20 during the time they were not accepting returns because of Corona virus but said they would still honor it after the lockdown. They did not give a limited time frame after lockdown. But apparently that was a silent rule. When I had the opportunity to return it. They said it was too late it's 6/11/20. I was not sure when they started allowing returns it's not like I check daily for this one companies procedures. I am disappointed in the lack of responsibility in keeping their word. I am not sure if this was the employees fault or the corporate but I feel this is just a dishonest company that you can't trust there word.

very very bad service. brought my grandchildren in today at noon hoping to get a pet. we walked in and no one said hi so we took it upon or self to say hello the 2 women workers said nothing. so we went on about looking and had some questions and the lady was standing right there but acting like she couldn't hear us asking her a question. very very bad service and then they just kept giving us dirty looks. BAD VIBES WE WILL NEVER RETURN

I've had nothing but great experiences with this store location. Today I called and asked for a type of dog food and they not only confirmed they had the food but they pulled it and saved it for me so once I got there I didnt have to wait. Unfortunately it wasnt the bag I needed and they didnt have the bag i needed but the gentleman there was able to hell me find the best brand that i needed. He was very knowledgeable about the breeds and what each breed needed as well as what was inside each type of food as we went over about 5 different brands of food. He was super friendly the whole time! He also helped explain my questions concerning the shot clinic that comes in for microchipping. Definitely my go to pet shop from now on.

Our daughter received a parakeet on the 3rd of February for her birthday. The little bird died suddenly. The 15 day warranty to replace the bird was just barely up but it was up so I didn’t expect a full replacement. I did think since it was so close to the full replacement warranty that they could have given a discount towards another bird. They refused. If this was months down the road it happened I could understand but the bird didn’t even live a month. I’m not sure why their bird suddenly died. Our other birds are fine. I won’t be purchasing from them again. My daughter is devastated her birthday present died after a mere 22 days. Use caution when buying from this company.

Disappointed, bought some clippers from them on April 27th and they didn't work. No biggie I'll just return them right? Well I swing by mid May and they they don't take returns right now because of the covid 19 situation BUT they promised to honor the refund. Hey I get that... wanna be safe! Cool than when the lock down is lifted, I swing on in to return these bad boys. But I am told they will not honor the refund...... okay, I asked why? She told me its been too long.... Wait but you said you'd honor the refund? She said its been over 30 days and they honored refunds for a whole month. Hmmm let's break this down.... Bought on April 27 - and tried to return May 10th. (No luck) tried to return June 11th. How did you honor returns for a month? Sooo I'm super disappointed, so disappointed, that I decided to Write all this. Dang man. I'm not angry just like.... If my friend did this I wouldnt be his friend... you know?
