Had a grooming appointment at 7:30 am I got there on time and called the store several times to let them know I was waiting outside. I finally got an answer at approximately 7:50 am and a very rude girl answered and told me they canceled my appointment because I was late. I tried to explain to her I had been trying to get a hold of them and she very rudely said we only got 1 missed call. I told her I have the record in my phone of all the calls I made but she was very unprofessional and didn’t say anything or try fixing their mistakes.

If I could give zero stars I would. This was the first time I took my puppy in to get groomed. I dropped him off at 11 am for a full bath, full body trim, nail file, ear cleaning. I was told it would take 3- 4 hours. I was never notified about the status of my dog. I arrived at 3pm to check in on the status (4hours later). When I arrived I was told that they only gave him a bath so far. The girl at the front explained that he did not like the dryer and they are having a difficult time drying him. So I can understand that since it's his first time there he would be a little difficult. What I have a problem with is the fact that no one ever called to notify me on the status of my dog. He was there 4 hours and all they did was to give him a bath and leave him sitting wet. I asked how much longer to get him dry and was told 30 mins. I came back in 45 mins later and all of a sudden they managed to dry him up!!! All he got was a horrible face trim!!. They didn't even attempt to do the full body trim. If someone had taken the time to just call and let me know the status it would have been fine. Additionally the girl admitted that they were overbooked. So my impression is that she just didn't have time to deal with my pet! I would never take my pet here again!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! We had our 1 year old dog bathed for the 1st time at Petco. He is an 18lb Rat Terrier … We usually just do it at home but he has been shedding a lot more so we thought we would try the bath with fur treatment to help the shedding! They couldn’t get his nails trimmed, he didn’t really smell fresh, and we honestly weren’t really sure that anything had been done for $70! Fast forward a few days we noticed a HUGE lump on his back (the size of a tennis ball)… we took him to the vet and they said he had some trauma to his skin causing an infection! Poor thing had to have it drained and is on antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds for the next 2 weeks! So not only did we pay $70 for a bath we also paid another $270 at the vet for an infection!

The employees were very tentative and took extra time and measure in helping us select our new small pet hamster AND applied the credits on my account towards our purchase that helped make our experience even better ! :)

Once again, I had to wait 15 minutes to get crickets because they moved them to the back of the store. They seemed to have 1 cashier and 1 other employee working. The cashier could not leave her station to go get the crickets, and the other employee was busy with another customer. If the crickets were still behind the checkout counter, the cashier would have been able to get them.

Came to buy my puppy food and cashier was super sweet and upsold me to a larger bag. Even carried it to the counter and found additional discounts she did not have to do that but she did. I am glad I didn't stop by the one I go to normally in Arlington. I wish I knew her name but I was there last night about 6 and bought science brand dog food. She has lovely customer service!

I took my dog Athena in for a bath, a nail buff, and another deskunk to keep it up. She had this done when she initially got skunked over a month ago. The last time she got deskunked, our normal location, we had a great experience. This time the smell came back because she was wet when I picked her up. I know it may not go away 100% but she’s had baths since this happened and this was not the result. I was told she didn’t like the dryer but she gets groomed regularly and never had an issue. I tipped before seeing her but wish I hadn’t. I now have to do the process again because my dog was super damp when I picked her up, which made the smell worse. Service was rushed and the grooming team didn’t seem to care. I won’t use this location again. Poor experience

The customer service here is horrible. Employees here are anything but helpful. Petco falsely advertises their “free first exam”. Today, they failed to send their barcode I apparently needed for the free exam (which is not free). The employees were very quick to tell me that I would be unable to receive a refund or credit on my account for THEIR mistake for the portion of the cost that was supposed to be “free”. I will never take my dog to this Petco location again and I’d advise you to do the same.

Mrs. Erin does absolutely amazing with my cane corso, Drago. He absolutely hates baths at home, but with Erin he couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend her for any large breeds!

I took my puppy there for the first time today and I specifically said I didn't want him cut too low and not only did the cut him very low they cut a part of his leg to the skin! I am so upset right now. The groomer was very nice, but when I got my puppy home I saw how he was not cut even in his haircut look really blotched. I think I’m gonna learn how to grow my own puppy, because this is too stressful! Look at the before and after photos.

I had the worst experience of my entire life at a pet groomers facility. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with hostility.My dog is 4 pounds, 5 months old, and is very, very quiet and meek. The lady first told me that my dog had parasites and she would not touch him. I had all the paperwork! Luckily we used the vetco located inside of the Petco and was able to verify that my dog was cleared for grooming. I thought that was the end . Then I’m greeted by another angry lady who comes to me and says I’m telling you right now if I have any problems with your dog, I’m not going to shave it and you’ll just have to deal with whatever I do with it. I still held my composure because I just wanted my puppy groomed for the very first time since her birth! And just like the second lady told me I picked her up the same way I dropped her off with a $70 bill. I could wash my 4 pound dog in my sink at home. This was horrible for a chain company to have staff that act like they hate animals. I did not want to cause any chaos or confusion or bring any kind of attention to that establishment when I went to pick up my dog but low and behold the the black girl with the weave did it for me and yes I can say black girl because I am a black girl myself. She literally taunted me. Have a great day. Have a great day. Oh no, not you, ma’am I’m talking to her. I never said one word never said one word, but she continued to act immature and unprofessional. Petco will never get another dime from me. It’s 6:37 pm November 17, 2023 in case you need to know who was on staff! Ridiculous!

At Petco, not only can we take care of our furbabies' special dietary needs by buying them Hill's Science Diet, (a brand we trust,) we can also buy them other things they want or need! Petco sells the treats our furbabies love, too! They also have a good toy selection; we really like Kong brand toys for our furbabies because they are built to withstand rough and tough play and chewing! We are grateful that Petco sells the food our furbabies need and the toys they love, toys we like to get them! They sell so much more, too, from grooming products to collars and leashes ... pretty much anything your pets could want or need! Their staff is always friendly and willing to help and they keep their store stocked and clean! If you haven't shopped there, I recommend you do, at least once, to see how you like it!

Visited this location to buy some Christmas sweaters for my sweet kitties and an employee, Brandan, did such an outstanding job showing me multiple fantastic selections and helped me find the perfect fitting sweaters for my sweet fur babies! Highly recommend this location and having Brandan assist you with any of your pet shopping needs!

I took my 2 dogs there to be groomed and the manager was very rude not helpful at all. Horrible experience ever,I've been going to petsmart for years figured I'd give petco a try. BAD IDEA!!! Never again!!!

The grooming has been very good with Lief for our our larger breed dog who just needs a bath and deshed. Our small breed has had the best haircuts with Keyana. All of the staff here is always friendly and very helpful. The store is clean and well stocked.

My furbaby came home with a too close shave on his tail and itching where he wasn't before. His skin was literally showing where it hasn't ever before, and he has bumps on his chest that weren't there when I dropped him off.

I do not recommend this grooming location. They do not care about going above and beyond. I drove 45 minutes to this location and because I was early I was rudely to “I cannot take your dog”. Not even a hello. I asked what do they do when people have to work and was told that people can drop off their dog before work…well what is the difference. I was told no one could watch my dog while he waited in the kennel although it looked like several people were just sitting around. I’ll take my business elsewhere, this was just an extremely frustrating experience where somebody could have stepped up to make the customer experience a little easier and better.

I've never been here, except when I went by to determine how my personal info jumped into their system. I was sent an email thanking me for signing up for their rewards program. Went by with rewards #, the manager pulled it up but it had no phone number attached to it which is weird cuz you have to put in your phone number to start the program. So real curious how that happened. Called customer service, they found the account and deactivated it but I had to fill out some form to have my info deleted from the system, they couldn't just do it. The thing that sucks is the link for the form was not made a click able link in the email. So.....I'm gonna have to type in like 40-50 characters just to go to the form hopefully. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT PETCO.

We just went to look at the animals. We love going at least once a week to see what they have. Wish we could get a ferret but they smell too bad for us to have in the house. Plus our dogs would eat it.

My girlfriend took our dog to get groomed. We have gone in the past and never had issues. We waited for hours, went back, the employee didn’t even clean him. He smelled worse than before, was wet, and she told us when we got there “I couldn’t cut your dogs hair”. Do not come here for grooming anymore. I don’t know what changed in the last few months but their groomers are getting more complaints than ever and we are adding to that with our experience.

Grooming absolutely a joke. My son brought in his dog. He got a bath and a call he was too shaky for a haircut BUT still made him pay of 50 dollars! He's been to other groomers no issue. Guess we know why you had openings. What a rip off!!Edit: I was able to shave him when he brought him to my house. If I can do it there is no reason a "professional" can't. And no the dog Spot doesn't know me that well to test me more than a groomer.

Just took my pup in for a grooming. They did a great job of brushing out her undercoat and making her smell good and trimming her nails. The process of dropping her off and picking her up was super easy. My only problem is the manager is a Chicago Bears fan. But I'll let it slide.

I am utterly disappointed with the service I received from this grooming store. Today, I booked an appointment online for my beloved cocker spaniel. However, within minutes of booking, I received a text notifying me that my appointment was canceled. Perplexed, I immediately called the store to inquire about the abrupt cancellation.To my dismay, I was directed to Nicole, the store manager. Nicole proceeded to inform me that my pets had been referred out of their system due to apparent notes claiming that they are aggressive and "ungroomable" due to biting issues. I was taken aback, as these claims were entirely false and baseless.When I pressed Nicole to identify who had left these notes, her responses were inconsistent and questionable. Initially, she attributed it to a former groomer who was no longer with the store. I found it baffling that the store would permit a departed employee to leave such a damaging remark without notifying pet owners like myself. As I questioned this, Nicole abruptly changed her story, now blaming someone else entirely, possibly the grooming manager named Mandy. Despite my persistence, she adamantly refused to provide more information or even the corporate contact details I requested. Nicole even refused to provide her last name.Nicole's demeanor throughout this exchange was shockingly rude and unprofessional. It's disheartening to think that Petco, a brand I have trusted for years, would allow someone like her to manage one of their stores. As loyal customers who have consistently brought our pets to this location, even being members of the vital care plan, we are appalled by the treatment we received.I am left deeply disappointed by this entire ordeal. The lack of transparency, unprofessionalism, and the dismissive attitude displayed by the store manager have shattered the trust and loyalty we once had. I implore the corporate office to address this matter promptly. Our pets deserve better, and we, as customers, deserve to be treated with respect and honesty. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and it's truly disheartening to witness such a decline in the quality of service we once cherished.

Good looking petco but the fish section is very lacking and not all that big. The bettas look pretty good compared to other dfw petcos. Was helped by a shorter, chunky short haired girl with tats on her forearms. Very knowledgable and understanding on what I was doing with a possibly disabled betta I bought from that store. Gave me the old 'not supposed to sell a tank and fish together' but let's be honest does Petco _really_ care?Little disabled dude was listed as a double tail but either those tails are fused or he isn't a doubletail at all. Has a tail unlike one I have seen before. I don't trust petco's labeling to begin with.Given the quality of attention by a certain employee and good looking fish, I like this store.
