This grocery store is clean and well cared for. It’s about the only option for grocery stores in the area, but it’s pretty good. Not a huge store, but will have just about any grocery you could need. The staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit high, but considering the relative remoteness and lack of other competition nearby, it should be expected.

My husband had came up here to buy me and my daughter chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day .he came home only to find out that they were rotten. they literally exploded in me and my daughter’s mouth as we were eating them. we ended up throwing them up .I then went back up to the Brookshire’s to complain and get a refund but was instead met with a employee because there was no manager ,and was told to get another one and she immediately left to the back. She gave me no time to say I needed a refund she just turned around told me to get another one and left. so I decided just to give it another chance. I open the package smelled it and it smelled fine .when I got home I put them in the freezer so that they wouldn’t be as melted .an hour later, me and my daughter tried to eat them and was once again met with sour nasty rotten strawberries. so disappointed ,I don’t see the knowledge behind keeping chocolate covered strawberries out all day on a table knowing they need to be in the refrigerator. wasted $10 on nasty rotten fruit thank you.

So I asked my son to go get me two chicken breast and this is what I paid 7 dollars for. Not only was it cut into pieces and formed to look like two chicken breast but cost me almost 7 dollars and it was butchered! I didn't want strips or my chicken cut. They made it look like two breast. I wasted my money! Do better brookshires.

Best price on gas from Ft.Worth to Athens and perhaps even further. Lady working at the gas station was very nice and helpful.

I stopped by to buy a few groceries for dinner this evening. Got to the self checkout & scanned my stuff. 1 item rang up incorrectly. Here is where the wheels fell off. First, the girl watching the self checkout goes to check the price, comes back & tells me that i didn't read the sign & the sign says something else. I explained to her that the sign was directly under the item. She then goes & talks to the office cashier who, in turns goes to speak with the manager on duty, Jamie. Jamie then tells me that is not what the sign says. I once again explained to her that the sign was under that item. It's not my fault her people can't stock the product in the correct spot. She refused to honor THEIR MISTAKE. I left the store with no groceries over a 2 dollar mistake on their part. I even gave her the opportunity to do the right thing before I called Corp & as well as leaving this review. Apparently, 2 dollars is worth more than a satisfied customer. Hate to say I will no longer support the only grocery store in my town. Poor mgmt

Used to prefer this place, but since they added 4 self checkouts and the employees were standing around watching the group of people with buggies full, trying to work them, then only opened a line AFTER most had issues with the self checkouts, I'm probably gonna find somewhere else. I get the option for self checkout, but shouldn't be forced to use them while they just stand there.

Store is very close to me and convenient, although Deli and bakery goods are rather small in space and selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

As a former brookshires employee, this is by far the worst store I have ever been to, the shelves are never stocked and it’s too dang expensive. My god, I’ve spent less at Walmart. the staff seems so rude and hateful and higher ups treat employees like grunts. Everybody in this town tells me to avoid this store because the higher-ups can run the store with their eyes closed, which already sounded like a true red flag, so anybody who’s seeking a job is merely doing “try-outs” the entire time. And you get to see if you made the cut or not. That is just cruelty. At this store you can’t afford to make mistakes and that’s the true Confidence killer. This place needs new management quick

It’s a bit of an over priced place to buy groceries and selection is a bit small if you are more accustomed to the multicultural grocers in larger areas. We love the cut and seasoned veggies makes dinner prep a breeze. Gas prices are lower than other nearby places.

Great people, great service, not the best prices, but the service is old school and they will even put the groceries in the car for you! The produce and meat selection is almost always fresh and appealing. I often go here instead of lower priced competitors for the selection and ease of quick in and out.

They are very friendly especially Micheal who was at the door asking if we needed help and gave us a buggy. Inside the store the employees were very friendly. The only one not friendly was the cashier. The only thing she she wanted was our Thank You card. Nothing else was said. When we were outside Micheal greeted us again and walked us to our vehicle to assist us. My mother is 78 and I have terminal cancer. Micheal and your friendly employees made our day!

They don't play any games of rearranging items to confuse, and keep its customers in the store longer, I want to get what I want and get out. They are not overcrowded, the employees are friendly and never rude. The prices are more expensive but that's to be expected with better quality products. Also I love the fact that they are just 5 miles from my home, now THAT'S CONVENIENT.

Everyone that works there is helpful and friendly. I always enjoy having the offer to help me with my groceries out to the car even though I'm very capable of doing it myself. It's still a nice touch. 5 stars.

Staff is always friendly and they really seem to have a larger variety then one would think for the store size. Meat and produce always seem fresh. Top notch for a small town grocery store.

Very friendly management & Employees. I spoke to the Manager & told him I drive there once month from 100 miles away to buy my 80 year old, shut in mother in law food. Could they please wave the can limits for me & He understood. Thank you for your kindness!
