We recently had to let our girl Maybell go. She was old and had some health problems and couldn’t walk or eat anymore. It broke our hearts. She was the queen of our house and we love her more than I can say. Everyone at Bark and Purr were so great. They really understood our pain and hers. They made a horrible situation a little more bearable. Thank you guys.

I was 15, and took my cat here to get him fixed. He was a stray at first so he still had fleas. During the consult i told them (lady upfront and the doctor) he had fleas and they said it wasn't an issue. Also, during the consult I asked for a clear price after tax because I wasn't going to have extra money and I was a kid paying for all of this myself (this was a year and a half ago). They told me 103$ after taxes and everything and reassured thats the final price of the fix. I was only making 8$ an hour and it was a struggle coming up with the money to begin with. Especially for my age at the time. I come to pick him up after surgery and the suddenly the price was over my budget because they gave him a flea treatment I didn't consent too nor was I informed about. I told them I couldn't pay the new price and I only paid for the fix which was the agreed price during consult. I specifically mentioned he had fleas and never once did they bring up they were going to do a treatment on him.I try to set up appointments for my new animals and said I wasn't allowed to service with them because of the outstanding balance. That i NEVER consented too. The lady upfront is incredibly passive aggressive and the company took advantage of a simple transaction between them and a 15 year old girl trying to get her cat fixed.

Would not recommend this business to anyone.The lady working the front desk was the most rude, unprofessional individual I've encountered in a while. After a lengthy conversation on why she was refusing a willing paying customer, I was told I could go somewhere else. Long story short, I wouldn't even take my dying pet there.

so i asked my to wife called back after making the appointment to check on how much it was gonna cost and you would of thought from the reaction of the lady on the phone that I committed some type of crime and when my wife got there Dr. lebus kept asking her over and over again if she need to call her husband and let him know the prices and at one point asked if she wanted him to treat our dog or tell her the prices. she said she felt like he was belittling her. she felt uncomfortable and me or her will never be back.

Dr. LeBus is a wonderful veterinarian. He is calm, joyful, down-to-earth and he loves your pets (cats and dogs only). He speaks to you as a friend and a professor, teaching you about your pet and whatever they have going on so you can understand. A very patient and kind doctor. Also, it is usually quite easy to get in quickly. We have been with him for over 9 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. He is just wonderful.

If you're a cat owner struggling to find the right vet, this is the review for you.After deciding to adopt a few cats last year, everything has been great except trying to find a vet. We were really struggling with who to choose that's close to home. I read nearly every review for Bark & Purr, and the only cat reviews seemed to be negative. Well, I can assure you, they are either fake reviews or they tried to bring in feral cats, which they clearly state that they don't see.The staff and Dr. LeBus are excellent. He and the nurses were great with our (very nervous) cats. We had them both neutered at Bark & Purr and had zero issues post-op.I would most definitely recommend Bark & Purr to any fellow cat owners!

Awesome clinic. Dr. LeBus has treated several of my pets. He's friendly and courteous. He let's you what is going on, and advises you of what the cost will be as he goes. He follows up with you, checking on your pets that he is treating or has currently treated. I have a dog that is very active, and stays a little too thin, and he has came up with a diet and treatment plan that fits her needs for her lifestyle. He treats each pet as family. I highly recommend his clinic for all your dog and cat needs..

Everyone at Bark and Purr is amazing.Every time I take my dog in he is shown care, compassion and respect. After taking my GSD to several vet's throughout his 7 years, fighting chronic ear infections, it was the knowledge and common sense Dr. Lebus that finally diagnosed his ear issue as allergies. Dr. LeBus has been our vet for 18 years. He has always been wonderful with our pets and has been with us thru good times and sad times. From walking thru the door with a new puppy to having to put our beloved babies to sleep for the last time, we are thankful he is there to care for them and us! He is very straight forward, explains options and does not believe in putting animals thru painful or expensive tests and procedures, when they may not help. We moved to Lumberton in June and I needed to find a vet for my American Bulldog puppies. I can’t say enough about the care we have received from Dr. LeBus. One of my dogs is allergic to grass (ear issues, skin irritation, paws always red and itchy). She was diagnosed when we lived in the Houston area. Our other vet just gave us the diagnosis, but did not tell us that there was medicine that we could give her. Dr. LeBus set out a treatment plan that was EXTREMELY affordable and we began her on this treatment. She is a new dog, and we have finally gotten her symptoms under control. He cares so much about the animals he treats. I wish that we had found him sooner so that my sweet puppy hadn’t had to suffer. I have referred friends of mine to Dr. LeBus and they have all come back with the same praise that I have. His assistant, Keisha, is always kind and helpful. You will NOT find a better vet in the Lumberton area than Dr. LeBus and Bark and Purr!!!

Dr. LeBus treated my lab, Lucky, for a very serious infection of his chin when I called one Friday afternoon. He checked on Lucky several times throughout the treatment and was able to get Lucky well. After that, I brought my other dog to see Dr. LeBus. Both dogs have had their teeth cleaned, yearly checkups, and vaccinations. Dr. LeBus explains treatments well, and is very gentle with my dogs. His technician is also very helpful and kind.

Dr. LeBus has been very good to my dog Buddy who is now 12 yrs. old. He has cared for Buddy for the last 6 years. He was extremely helpful when Buddy began having intense skin reactions.
