Don’t get me wrong this is a great place with a great staff. They’ve always been super friendly and I’ve never had an issue, but some of the enclosures are not up to par. I get it, they give the animals what they can in the space they’re in, but the other day I noticed these 2 ball pythons kept in the same enclosure with no clutter or hides. Ball pythons are solitary animals and require at least 2 hides on each side of the enclosure and stress in big open spaces with nowhere to hide. I hope they take this as friendly advice and not bashing!

This was an interesting find, as a recommending from my coworkers. Nice display of animals. Clean atmosphere. And it was unbelievable that it was a pet store. Nice attraction😊😁

I get my live/frozen feeders for my snakes and my bearded dragon. The feeder worms are fat and well kept. Staff is mostly friendly. Have purchased a snake from them. Beautiful markings and healthy lil guy. The exhibit is fun and has some interesting animals. Some items are marked up compared to competitors.

This place is really cool! We went here looking for feeder mice for our pet snake and the employees are all nice and it’s a great little pet store that also has a little walk through in the back that has some very interesting animals that you would definitely not find in any regular pet store! We enjoyed our time here, thank you! & alsooo just a little FYI your responses to some of these reviews that are either ignorant or judgmental have been great to read :D•these prairie dogs made me laugh 😬🤘🏼

I bought a white, blue eyed bunny which was in a cage by herself and she died 3 days later. I also have 4 other bunnies from here that are live and well. I feel I should have been given a refund for a pet doing 3 days later when paying $108.24 for each looper bunny. We were also sold a black bunny and were told it had a scratch due to other bunnies being mean to him. Come to find out the bunny actually had ringworm. We also bought turtles which were thrown into a container by a rude employee, who also told us the chameleon was sold and got an attitude when she had to look and found out he was still there. We were never told how to care for him or what he ate, we googled it, and it was wrong. We finally got the right food from a brilliant employee at petsmart. After spending over $800 in 4 days, we were still treated as if they didn’t want us there, when going to but crickets. Andrew and the pregnant girl (idk her name) are the only nice people there. Petsmart may be a little higher but at least there we are treated like decent humans. Also, you should refund my money, all $108.24, as you sold me a sick bunny that died 3 days later.

I was absolutely horrified by the conditions in this pet store. First thing I saw in the store was a DEAD budgerigar on the floor of a tiny cage with two other very sad looking budgies huddled right above it. None of the birds had room to even fully spread their wings none the less get any significant exercise. All of them looked so severely depressed, which is unsurprising given the barren jail cells they live in. The rabbits had extremely tiny enclosures with no hay, which should be 70% of their diet. Iguanas and tortoises, which have completely different temperature, humidity, and dietary needs were being housed together. Also two adult ball pythons were housed together which is a HUGE safety risk and stressor for both animals. The rodents also had horrendously small enclosures with barely any bedding and no adequate hiding spots. Their leopard geckos were being housed on some sort of sand, which is a recipe for impaction. Overall disgusted and deeply saddened by the state of all of their animals. Not to mention that they were selling fennec foxes and tamarins that were most likely trafficked and were living in completely unacceptable conditions, too. Please take your business elsewhere and stop supporting this blatant neglect. I wish I had taken pictures but I was so taken aback by the entire experience that I just left.

Bought Jack the rabbit there today for my daughter’s bday… couple days early… he loves his massive cage and has so far let me hold him.. my son and daughter have pet him. He hopped right up to us and how could we tell him no. As you can tell he loves the camera

They had lots of animals but they definitely don't look like they are being cared for. Several were real skinny. Lots of the snakes were shedding but wasn't normal shedding. It was like flakes of skin they are extremely dry on their skin. Some of the replies were real boney. The birds look good I suppose. The animals just didn't look healthy to me.

The name is fitting for this pets store. There are animals, reptiles, birds, spiders and fish from all over the world. The exotic exhibit room is worth the $3.50 per person. There is so much to see at Walter's. Plan on spending at least an hour. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

I mean it's a pet store, so if that's what you're looking for, cool. They have stuff from ferrets to lizards, turtles to rabbits, and all the stuff you'll need for them. Not dogs and cats, "other" types of pets. Prices seem high, but other than that I don't know how to judge a store like this.

I highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly there's a wide selections and they're not afraid to answer any questions you might have. I got my hedgehog a few days ago and when I went all of the ones were only a few weeks old. While I was there I saw rabbits ferrets all sorts of birds and there were so many more things and they had all the equipment you might need. If you're looking for a pet try giving them a call. They are amazing.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️10/10 would go again

Walters world is the best pet store everrr!!!!! They are very knowledgable about any exotic animal i have ever asked about! And super friendly!! I live goin into this store! I stopped ordering my glider food online just so i could go in and talk to them! Thank you guys so much!!!

While the staff is (mostly) friendly, the husbandry I see at this place is pretty questionable. Wild caught animals for sale, sick birds with visible mites and missing feathers from self mutilation, strictly solitary animals like hamsters and bearded dragons being kept in groups. It really feels like the owner is more worried about making a quick buck selling exotics as opposed to obtaining healthy, ethically bred pets. The staff also becomes defensive when asked about the animals, very reluctant to share where animals are coming from and not transparent on laws regarding certain exotics, such as their primates. Overall just seems sketchy, but not a bad place to buy things like invertebrates.

Great pet store and mini-zoo! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, a variety of pets and supplies. They do not have much towards fish aquarium supplies, but there are plenty of aquatic reptiles and amphibians. The mini-zoo boasts a honey badger, cobra, spider monkey, anacondas, a sloth, and much more. Definitely worth the visit!

The smell is overwhelming when you walk in the door. The animals in the main area (rabbits) were out of water (2 bottles). The fox that was in there, was clearly uncomfortable, being in such a high traffic area & not an average 'pet'.

I came here for a miniature hedgehog and left with a frigging lion bro! Like, a lion. I named her God, going to start a religion, she's the church because ef taxes right? Anyway, we meet in the parking lot of Dennys every third Tuesday at 9am. Two paws up!!

This is the best pet store there is! We wanted a ferret, so we started calling around and doing research. We looked and looked and called so many places, asking if they had ferrets. Every single one said no! But that was until I called walters world of pets, and they said they had some. So we make our way over to the store, to not only find my new ferret, but really enjoyed looking at the sugar gliders and the parrots. Overall, I recommend this pet store 100% and give it five stars! ✨⭐️🤩⭐️✨

This is the only place I know that sells live bait for your exotic pets. My snake loves the rats I get from here. I've never had a problem. I know exotic pets are expensive but sometimes the prices seem a little high for some items. Over all I would definitely recommend to go check out the cool animals they have there!

Went in to get a tarantula as a gift for my grandchild, and they had one all set up in a habitat ready to go. They gave me all the pointers and instructions I needed. They were very knowledgeable and helpful!

good pet store for supplies, but why keep the prairie dogs captive? I went there the other day and they were trying to find a way to jump out. No need to keep prairie dogs captive when there's a prairie dog town here. And to reply to your comment, because cats are cats? they're supposed to be pets unlike prairie dogs. and how do you even know i have a Persian cat?? Not to mention y'all are a terrible business anyways, with the sloth and monkey back there with their tiny enclosures with nothing cleaned and rotten fruit on the ground. You wanna comment about my cat but y'all dont even take care of the animals. weird you want to look at my socials.

They have a fair collection of animals and birds. I was looking for cockatiels. However, due to pandemic, it wasnt available. Bought a pair of parakeets for $60.

I love this place, it is the best pet shop i’ve been too. The staff is very kind, and allow you to take your time. My previous snake died so I came from Midland to purchase a new one. The staff was great and showed me a nice variety of snakes, and didn’t mind me taking nearly a hour to decide. The prices are good and fair, the animals seemed well taking care of. I bought a continental python, and I named him Mochi. He is a very kind snake but he is a odd eater compared to my last. After I purchased my snake they allowed me to have tour of the back animals which was really amazing and generous. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area.

Love this store i get all my pets food here im saving to get a 3yo ball python! But they have a nice staff, awesome animals... I hear they have a sloth... I haven't got to see him/her yet but all around thumbs up!!!! 👍❤💙💚

It's a cool place that has exotic animals but they are super cramped. I bought an Asian Forrest scorpion and it's been living in this plastic tub. It's tail couldn't fully extend because the scorpion is too big for the tub.Please if any employee sees this comment please put them in better habits to walk around in. -this was a few months agoEdit: Today I swung by to see what yall had and I noticed you changed the tarantulas, scorpions, & centipedes enclosure. They have much more room now ☺️. I was worried for the big scorpion cause it's tail was getting scrunched by the lid but yall put them in bigger boxes and stuff now.I will say I greatly appreciate that yall listened to your community. I have changed my review to 5 stars. I plan to buy my boyfriend a badass tarantula there here soon. Respectfully thank you for taking better care of the animals that shows yall care and notice small things.
