We love the attention and care that our two Labradoodles get from the moment they walk in the door. They are open, honest, take time, and patiently answer all our questions. The vet our boys had seen since they were puppies refused to see one of our boys during an emergency situation even though she was going to be open for another 1 1/2 hours. She suggested that we take him to The Vet on 4th, which made us furious. But now, we're so glad that she did. They welcomed us with open arms even though we'd never seen them. They professionally assessed the situation quickly and communicated with us every step of the way to get our boy on the road to recovery. We never returned to our old vet. The Vet on 4th always has very clean and neat facilities. They always discuss costs, options, and answer our questions beforehand. We always feel confident that our dogs are receiving the best quality care and highly recommend them.

We were new to the area and found Dr Snow and couldn’t be happier. They are carrying and very good at what they do!! Within the course of 2 weeks they saw 3 of my four “city” dogs who were not familiar with all the fun stuff to get into here.

The most friendly, caring, and knowledgeable vet office I’ve ever been with. A lot of the reviews mention how expensive they are… honestly they seem very reasonable, especially with the quality of care my fur babies get. They are not an emergency clinic, but I greatly appreciate the extended hours. My pets will never go anywhere else.

Appointment was for 6:20 and after an hour wait about 7:30, the vet tech came in and assessed my cat. Then after another 30 min wait the vet came in finally.Had it not been for the fact that it's so hard to get my cat in the crate I would have left. After it was said and done I finally got to check out at 8:30 the whole experience was the worst vet wait time ever. My cat and I had to be up there for over 2 hours for an upper respiratory infection.I dont care about the price which that seems to be the main complaint but don't take two hours of my time with mediocre service and a lame apology about the wait. Do better.Next time inform someone there's an emergency and the wait time is longer than usual. I don't know what the point was of even scheduling an appointment when your time is just wasted.Definitely will go to another vet.

I brought my elderly German Shepherd in that I as fostering through Texas Star Rescue. She became suddenly ill the night before and went to hide in the woods. Found her, loaded her up into the SUV (she was very weak), drove her to our regular vet who told us to take her here.I had no appointment. I walked in and explained the situation to the Lady at the front desk. She said wait here and I'll let the Vet know what is going on, (I hadn't even brought her in yet since she weighs 80lbs and was so weak). They said they would see her, so I went to get her. The diagnoses was not good. She had DGV. The price range for the surgery I thought was very fair. Unfortunately I made the decision to euthanize her. The staff was caring, laid out all the options to me with detailed explanations of the surgery and aftercare, if I decided to go that route. If she was younger I may have gone ahead with the surgery. But at her age and already having a number of age related issues I did what I thought was best. I spent some time with her before the euthanization and was there during the process to comfort her.I'll miss you Lady.

The staff is very friendly and the facility is beautiful. They always take great care of our little Buzz and really try to help if he is not feeling his best. While he isn’t always so crazy about coming to the vet, he is met with love which would make any pet parent proud. We love that they also offer emergency after hours when needed.

Experience with the owner at the Tyler location… I brought my German Shepherd, Max for an emergency Quality of Life Exam last night. I had a morning appointment w my regular vet but I didn’t think I should wait, so I came to this clinic bc of its late hours. I was the only client at 8pm:.. I waited an hour for the Dr… he came in for a short time and decided my dog needed a pancreas enzyme test. “German Shepherd is the poster child” he told me. Never mind that I was listing different symptoms. I told the Dr. my dog couldn’t breathe, and that he had been standing and staring blankly unable to lay down for hours. When he laid down his breathing became more taxed. I was unheard. I was told his lungs sounded clear, brushed off and was (again) left waiting while they went to tend to another patient who came in close to 9:15. I was the only client and spent an hour waiting to see someone… got less than 15 minutes w the dr… and then he rushed off to tend to someone who had just come in. I was watching my dog suffer in a cold unfamiliar room… my concerns and observations were ignored. I was there an hour and a half before I left out of frustration. I intended to make the 8am appointment w our regular vet. I took Max home where he stood and stared, panting, unable to breathe or lay down… until he collapsed off his feet and died in my bedroom at 4:30 this morning. His lungs emptied of bloody fluid when he passed. MY DOG SHOULD NOT HAVE SPENT HIS LAST 7 HOURS IN INTENSE SUFFERING. He should not have died standing on his feet in agony. The Dr called to address my negative review and my “expectations” for the visit. He disputed that my timeline was incorrect. My first draft of this review stated two hours in the office… so I have revised it to meet the doctors concern. I was offered a patronizing, insufficient apology. The Dr who saw Max was the owner of the practice Robert Gribble. To the mans response——I didn’t ignore any problems for 6 months. I took him for testing and was told there was nothing wrong w him. He hadn’t started to decline until this week. I absolutely understand what a QoL exam is. There’s a checklist to score the pet…and Max hit high on every mark. the dr didn’t even go through the check. He just immediately decided it was an enzyme problem. The pancreas doesn’t have anything to do with his lungs. This dr is completely unable to take accountability as you can see by his responses to any negative review. He is condescending and patronizing. I didn’t want to pay for a $70 pancreas test when clearly his lungs were the problem. No matter the timeline that the dr is so hung up on… the point is that he didn’t listen to me. And he didn’t examine my dog well if he believes his sickness had anything to do w a pancreas. It was his lungs. I didn’t go to the emergency vet because I was discouraged that I was being insistently told it wasn’t his lungs. I was confused and decided his regular dr might listen to me better than strange ones. I didn’t know that I was right- and it was in fact his lungs, until the bloody fluid foamed out of his mouth.I didn’t pay the $25 not bc I didn’t intend to.. but bc you didn’t do your job. You made a lot of assumptions and accusations toward me in your response to deflect from your factual fault in this situation. You’re the owner and you work at every location. Everyone who looks you up should be able to see that you’re a subpar dr and a worse human to answer your reviews in the way that you do.

I saw Dr snow today. My cat hasn’t been eating much for the last 10 days. My regular vet couldn’t find anything wrong with him in 2 visits. Dr snow was very thorough in her exam, and came up with a plan. Praying he gets better. I was happy with this vets service. P.S. No ones ever happy with the vet bill!

We went in on a Sunday to have my daughter small long hair Chihuahua who is 13 yr old looked at because her private area was swollen and she was clearly uncomfortable. They asked us to pay for blood work and suggested a scan to see if anything was wrong . We said ok let’s ado that. Nurse came back with Dr. and did the found fluid cyst next to her belly and said they could operate or if we couldn’t afford it to put her down because she will die soon when it pops. My daughter was devastated. We could not afford the large amount for the surgery. They told us to put her down we took her home and decided not to put here down. The Dr came out as we were leaving and pleading with my daughter to put her down that it was the eighth thing to do. This has been 8 months ago and her dog is playful and is loving life and has been everyday since then . I don’t know why the would tell a going girl this when her dog is absolutely fine. My daughter is still traumatized to this day . She almost had her dog put down for nothing.

Dr Bankson took such good care of my little pup yesterday. They worked with my extremely tight budget and didn’t go over it. Catherine was the sweetest vet tech and made my feel better after being so worried about my little guy. They got me in the same day with an appointment. Thank you team TVO4!

I love this vet office! They are super accommodating, hours cannot be beat. Dr. Erica is literally a saint. Our cat had a chronic eye ulcer and was on the brink of losing his eye. Dr. Erica was so dedicated to his care and saved his eye. I found the pricing to be more than reasonable and due to his chronic care the staff worked with me to ensure we could financially continued his care. The staff was extremely dedicated to having his eye healed and saved. I absolutely adore Dr. Dumeyer. I’ll never take my cat anywhere else.I find the negative reviews here about pricing to be incorrect, veterinary care is expensive anywhere you go and I find their prices to be more affordable than the previous vets we have seen. They also give you a printed estimate of care PRIOR to any treatment being done, which I love, so there is no price shock when checking out. I’ve never had another vet office do this. They continuously follow up with me a day or two after care in case any further issues arise or I might have any additional questions I forgot to ask during my appointment. This is a great vet office, don’t let the negative reviews fool you.

Went here to treat my cat for worms, end up charged 1000$ and they didn't even see her for the worms they gave her vaccines and then I went home was told I was going to have to wait for test results and they would be back the same day and I could the medicine. Well it took 3 days to get the medicine and they were trying to tell me she didn't have worms when they were crawling out her butt, this place is just a glorified way of taking people's money. Don't go here it's cheaper and they actually help you all the way at a non private vet, I mean 1000$ and I didn't even pay for the medicine yet.... I had to ask them for the medicine because they didn't think she had worms. They just want monet they don't care about your animals.

we just moved to the area and was shopping around. Idk about their service per sey but i did call to inquire on bringing our dogs in so i had a few questions.the young lady did not say nothing mean but her demeanor/ tone was rude and i took it as my call was bothering her (mind you it was going to be north of $250 per dog + the prescription).I began reading the lowest reviews and i can genuinely believe them because toxic boss is likely to bring down the teams morale. Hence, if she is used to seeing her boss treat/say rudely then common sense it replicates/trickles down. It's sad bc they're the only clinic in the area w/ good opening hours and also provide Simparica Trio on the spot.Again, i personally never went there, this is all based off a phone interaction and doing a simple review search to determine my experience was not a one time inccident therefore my review is valid.Oh, also they give a credit (the amount wasn't given) if you provide a 5star rating so, personally i think that's manipulating the high rating for the facility as i wouldn't consider it genuine reviews. just my opinion though!** in response to the owner, thanks for taking the time to reply. In the future I will reconsider and actually come in person. In the meantime i genuinely wish you and your practice the best. I know it's hard work in creating what you have. congrats on that! My call log automatically deletes after 7 days and this was past that. I updated the review to 4 star.

Brought my dog in with a snake bite and they handled everything quickly & efficiently. Very nice staff, explained charges clearly. My dog was home the next morning—very thankful they have a full staff available on a Sunday.

FYI. Nice building and location but it ends there.I Looked up the other bad reviews on this place after I left and read their “owner” responses to the people’s concerns. They are childish. His name is “Dr G”. He even apparently responded too one persons complaint by making fun of two words she mispelled and not addressing her concerns at all. The rest were just bashing the customer that was complaining and giving excuses for his actions. Childish. It was the weekend and my dog cut himself on a barbed wire fence and only two places were open for stitches. This place was very friendly until the unbelievable price they quoted me. Then when I said no and started to leave they started negotiating price with me just like at a high pressure car lot. I left without negotiating.Went to the East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic on Gilmer rd. Price was 500 vs 1500 at this place. Still too high if your not in a bind on the weekend when you vet is closed which would probably be 75-100 dollars for stitches. But much more reasonable. This guy is taking advantage of pet owners with emergencies with a systematic liner closer manager system just like some high pressure car dealerships. If you’re in a bind on a weekend and your vet is closed don’t go here!!! Go to the place on gilmer Rd.Dr G you should be ashamed of yourself for doing this to these people and Grow up.

Very nice place with incredibly caring and dedicated staff. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my fur babies. They treat them with care and respect. The doctors, technicians, tech assists, reception, and office manager are all incredible and knowledgeable people. Marble and Rosie couldn’t be in better hands.Rosie was a rescue and had a diaphragmatic hernia and a broken leg. They were able to get her through a very risky surgery and take care of her vaccinations and prevention afterwards. Best veterinary clinic anyone could ask for.

My boyfriend noticed his cat had tapeworms, he went in i was helping him pay for both of our Cats getting a check-up since we wanted to make sure the worms didn't get to the other one, we decided to get them cought up on their vaccinations aswell when we were given the quoted price AFTER they were already checked in they said It would be almost 1000 dollars and after a quick google search I found the average price should've been almost half but after the appointment we quickly realized they had somehow forggoten to treat them for the worms we originally came in for so we had to go in again and then they charged us an additional $35 for the medicine making the cost $995 for what should've been at max a $500 visit

We have been to the Vet on 4th multiple times. Usually in Panic Mode with our cats. We had to rush one of our kittys in, with breathing problems. They saw us immediately, and were very open and kind. They worked with us every step of the way on providing best of care, and not breaking our bank. A few days after that kitty, my sons kitty becomes sick. We called at close to the last minute, they worked us in, and Im almost sure all stayed a wee bit later than usual. And they took care of my sons kitty. They did this with kindness, never making me feel bad about being there late. We wont use any other vet. Everyone from Front Staff to Vet and Vet Techs are kind, helpful, and understanding and do their best to provide their services at reasonable prices. Thank You Vet on 4th!!

Thank you to the precious vet tech and the Vet we saw last night, who were so kind and compassionate as we had to say good bye to our baby of nearly 15 years. She put him on oxygen and gave him a little sedative to help him breathe better and give us a few more minutes with him resting. After giving us our time with him (and not feeling rushed), these two wonderful ladies sat in the floor with me while I held my baby as he went on to a place of no more pain, no more seizures, no more meds!I am so sorry I don't know your names, but please know I will never forget either of you and your love and compassion shown to our Chip. Thank you.

CHOOSE ANOTHER VET!!!!!DO NOT GO HERE!! They raise the price that are half the cost at other VET’s IN LONGVIEW!! They aren’t for the “working class”.. More for people who think they are better!!!!**UPDATE FOR RESPONSE BY VET ON 4TH.. OH OKKAY!!! I’m pretty sure you, nor your clinic, nor your staff are better than the next.. Your “WORK” and your “LOVE” of animals is NO MORE than the next!! I was saying that you are WAY OVER PRICED!!!! There are PLENTY OTHER CLINICS THAT ARE MORE AFFORDABLE for the “working class”!! To put it bluntly.. You take advantage of the ones who do love their animals like family, I came in an was quoted a price then went to the NEXT VET FOR THE SAME SERVICE, MEDICINE, CARE ALL THE ABOVE YOURS WAS ABOUT 200$ MORE!! So, I will take my money and business else where, and want other people to do their research before choosing your BUSINESS..

From the front desk to the exam room, this facility has been so great to us! They were able to quickly find out what was wrong with our injured kitten and was very informative and supportive on the treatment plan. There was constant communication on the pricings of things as we went through the initial visit and nothing was done without clear, informed consent. We truly feel our pet is cared for and she is remembered every time. It's going to be a long road for our Minni but we are glad to have this whole team on our side. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience! When I read the Google reviews I was so worried I was going to have to drain my savings (other places couldn't get my boy in), but that was not the case. I walked out of there paying significantly less than I expected. They got my baby examined and prescribed something we could afford. They were so sweet to us and my Boy. We will definitely be back!

We have 11 dogs and a cat so we are frequently at the vet! Never had one bad experience I have one male that was traumatized at a previous vet (in west TX) so I forewarned them, he was going to act up!! That was not the case they not only listened to me when I explained what he didn’t like they took everything I said to heart! Our EZ boy has NEVER been so good at the vet the staff and drs are amazing (I’ve seen ever tech, front office person and Dr there)

This place is way over priced and seem like they are only after money... They said my puppy needed an extra set of booster shots when she really didn't need them cause I asked my previous vet about them. Also, they offer a percent off of their expensive bill to give them a 5 star rating on here, so don't believe all those positive ratings cause they are buying them from their customers! I was going to get my dog spayed here but they gave me a quote that was two times as much as my previous vet charged me,,, I thought having a vet in Longview would be a better choice but I was wrong for sure. I would not recommend this vet.
