Our trip to Petco for puppy paté was disappointing. The store appeared old and poorly maintained, and the staff had difficulty locating what we needed. We managed to find options ourselves, but ultimately decided against purchasing due to the high prices.

Fish are mostly healthy, which is good as some other places in the area have fish who are far from it. Staff is friendly though at times you do have to seek them out for assistance fairly decently priced inventory . Need a larger selection of aquarium lighting.

Tried to buy fish from the other place twice. Fish were quarantined. Never had a problem at petco.

Not much has changed since the last time I visited. They have some neat stuff for all kinds of animal care, everything you need to show our pets some love and fun. The prices are a little too expensive compared to other major stores and the same brands as well. The store appearance it's self wasn't very well kept and seemed very disorganized and cluttered but was still navigable, and the staff was working hard to clear it up. The staff was extremely nice, polite, and we'll educated. Although I didn't buy anything I did manage to check prices of dog food which is a staple in my house for my fur babies and impressed my son by holding a snake. So the overall experience of it was great. I will definitely be back to buy a few things my fur babies simply cannot live without. They will look so cute.

Lots, lots and LOTS of dead fish. I’m always seeing extremely dirty tanks and betta cups with algae and milky-looking water. The tanks are filthy and several fish dead, stuck to the filter intake in almost every single one. It’s very sad to see such a lack of consideration for animals, in a store meant for animals. Please fix this.

They have everything you can imagine. They should have been better service. I don't know why they treated me like I was inconveniently there. Oh well everyone is allowed to have a bad day. We loved the store anyway..

About 6 weeks ago we went to petco in Longview, it was great. The young lady there was very helpful. Don't know her name but she was skinny blonde lady. But the reason for this review is I bought fish there on Wednesday they didn't even make it home. I live in mount peasant. Now this is not the only time I have bought fish from out of town. Half my fish died. Went back today. Lady told me that was common. Don't think so. Not happy. Will not be doing business with them. Dead fish in almost every tunk. But change from the first time.

Horrible experience. I went in looking to purchase some expensive food for my service dog. I already had a brand I was going to purchase, in mind. I asked the customer service professional what she felt was the best dog food and her words were, "I really don't know about any of the dog foods except our store brand." Shouldn't she have known about the different brands?? Needless to say she ended up talking me into trying a small bag. I went to purchase and they couldn't find my number in the system (I've purchased there for 10 years, I've had the same # for 18 years!) So I didn't get my discount. I came home to look into the food which was nothing like the lady told me plus it was more expensive online. I decided to bring the food back. The lady asked what was wrong with the food. I asked if their customer service professionals know about the perks of different dog brands. The manager said, " They know about all of the foods." Wrong! The lady we talked to only knew about the Petco brand. Also, both times I went in there were dogs crying while waiting to be picked up in the grooming area. Both days staff would bang on the window and yell, "hush!" I asked the manager what I needed to do to get signed up again for my perks and she said, "I have no clue." I don't need to know, I won't be coming back.

Stores very old, seems at times unkempt. It can be a long wait for help as the store only has a few employees on the clock at a time.

This petco never fails to have something extra going on sales wise, an awesome new crew member, or yet another item I just have to have other than what I originally went in for. Highly recommend for all your small pet care needs.

We had my grandsons Chihuahua groomed there. She still smelled funky when we picked her up...but not as bad as when we dropped her off. Maybe one more lather and rinse would have done the job. Her nails look great. Friendly staff

I have no complaints about the product i purchased I have used the same thing for years and it’s good, but this older lady with salt and pepper hair who works there I always have some kind of issue anytime she is there! No one else gives me any trouble but she always finds a way to get me heated I spend thousands a year with this store they all know me and I hope she sees this review. She is probably the main reason that majority of people who live in Longview go to Tyler petco instead. Anytime Cruella Deville is there and you have to deal with her be prepared for an unpleasant shopping experience. Thank you

I wanted to purchase a mushroom scratcher here. The lady at the front was quite rude when I told her the price said $23.99 where I got it. She tried to make it seem like my fault that I didn't check the name on the shelf (which was not a very specific name anyway). I went back to see where I found it (there were two more mushroom scratchers btw, so why would I question if it was in the right place or not, that's on whoever stocked it for misleading customers), and there was no $44.99 scratcher in the aisle I was looking in. I went over to the next aisle where there were other scratchers and found a place for a $44.99 scratcher, but it didn't say "mushroom" or anything. I'm not arguing the price, I understand if it's more expensive than I thought. I was unhappy with the service though since it felt like she had an attitude with me. If she was even like "oh, sorry, it must've been put in the wrong spot" that would've been fine. Idk, the gentleman who was cashier last time was also not very friendly. Basically, their prices are way too high for their service to be poor. Won't be shopping here anymore. Prices are better at Chewy, TJ Maxx, and Amazon anyways (If the manager sees this, I moved the mushroom scratchers to a spot that reflected their price, not sure if it was the right spot but hopefully it helps customers not get their hopes up).

Has everything you need for your pets. Some items are more expensive than going to Walmart but overall we like going in there for the variety of items. Also has fish, snakes, rats, ferrets, cats, hamsters and other animals for purchase. My kids love looking at the animals so that's a plus visiting there.

Last month’s bath for my Dog was very good, but 2 days ago he got a bath and was smelling like he needed another bath the next day. We paid 70 dollars! If I do come back I will be very descriptive on what we want! They didn’t even clip his nails! We even pay the monthly fee for the discount and didn’t get that either.

First time ever at this Petco and I had to leave a review for Memory, the sweet sales associate who helped me out and answered every question I had today. There were a few associates on the floor but after I had spoken to one of them (she was very rude and didn’t bother helping me with anything at all— twice!), I walked up to the front and asked Memory if she could help me. She was the only cashier, yet she left her spot to show me everything I would need for a new pet my household had just acquired. After customers started showing up to the front to be checked out, she left me in the reptile aisle only to quickly come back after checking them out to continue helping me with anything else I could possibly need. She really went above and beyond today and I appreciate it more than she will probably ever know. Thanks so much again Memory!!! She needs a raise!! 🐢

I brought my Akita in after our romp in the dog park with absolutely no problems ! We walked to look at toys and treats and she met a couple other doggos there too. It's always nice to bring my gud gurl with me into a store. This is Cookie chewing on the bully stick she picked out!

Horrible service. Went in there looking for an item for a cat. Found the one guy working there and asked him if they stocked such an item. He appeared to be inconvenienced and huffed "I don't know. Look in the cat stuff isle" and went about his business next to the register. I found what I needed and went to the register and stood there. I had to ask him to ring me up.... This dude was a total diva.

did not have any employees speak to me while I was in the store. When I got to the register, the cashier did not even realize I was holding out money for her. She was too busy on her phone, just like when I first walked up to the register. Seems like none of the employees were interested in their customers that day....
