They are the only creamery in town along with Dairy Queen. Small town vibe. It’s kind of false advertising because the Kitchen part is actually Joe’s Bar and Grill. No wait staff, you place your order at the counter and go to a different counter to pick up your food. We were the only ones there and it took 3 Kitchen Employees over 30 minutes to Make a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Chicken sandwich. The signs around there signify that they must get into conflicts about how long the kitchen staff take to make your food. One reason it took so long was they yacked non-stop while cooking our food. The young man cleaning was yacking with them and he was drinking a beer on the job at 2:00 pm in the afternoon. The girl from the bar then joined them in the kitchen and started yacking. The creamery is getting a bad wrap being partnered with Joes Bar & Grill. The creamery part and staff was kind and helpful. The young man continued to yack as I was leaving with the creamery staff. If his shift is over he needs to go home. Not an ideal place with those with physical limitations unless you have someone there to help you.

Stopped by on the way from Fredericksburg to Georgetown. We haven't driven this part of the highway and it was a nice drive. I didn't know Llano had a cute downtown. We went the restaurant to get a quick bite to eat. My lady and I each had a hamburger slider as we were not too hungry. My son had a regular burger on a pretzel bun. They were good tasting. The French fry orders are very small. I also had a side salad which consisted of filling a small bowl cup from the salad bar. The salad bar is basic, but everything looked fresh. You can sit on the salad bar part of the shop which requires you to order at the counter. We did that. The adjoining part of the shop has a bar and large screen TVs. In that location, they will take your order at the table. We finished with two cups of ice cream that is sold by the ounce. Each was $9. It was a nice place to visit. The quick food is okay.

Llano River Creamery and Kitchen had delicious burgers and shakes in Llano. The food didn’t come out quickly so if you are in a hurry, I’d probably go to a different spot. I enjoyed the ambience of the place and the quality of the food. And get a shake!

The ice cream is so delicious! I had a cherry vanilla shake. It was just right- thick & creamy with whipped cream.I took two big chocolate chip cookies back to the family. They were delicious too!

Nice little local ice cream shop and diner. We chose to eat here in the middle of a long trip with the intention of giving kiddos some time to stretch their legs and it was the perfect place, they even have a short table with coloring pages and crayons. The food is cooked fresh, so it does take a bit of time, but it was delicious! Ice cream afterwards was also delicious, especially the boozy bourbon and Snickers!Kid-friendliness: They have a variety of high chairs available and I saw at least one booster chair. Short picnic table in the front with coloring book and crayons. Did not see a changing table. No kids menu, but easy to share from adult plates.

The weirdest most unfriendly place I’ve been to in awhile. Went in for burgers and had no welcome or indication on how to order. Just harsh stares! Maybe because my girls are mixed and not up to their white standards? The confederate flag was a clear sign of that! Walked out without ordering anything!

Super cute little ice cream, eatery and shop. As everything else, prices are on the rise. I think we paid $15 for one waffle cone and a cup of ice cream. They charge ice cream by the ounce, so they measured the cone by sitting in a metal ice cream cone holder and placing it on the scale. 🤔 Super friendly and good ice cream.

We stopped here for desert on our way home fron San Antonio. The ice cream was very good and very reasonably priced. But better than the ice cream was the customer service, I wished I had got the young man's name that was behind the counter. He was very friendly and smiling the whole time. He looked to be 18 years old or so and he seemed to really enjoy his job and made the stop there very pleasant. With all the bad customer service now days, it was very refreshing to recieve some of the best customer service of our vacation on the way home at the Llano River Creamery. I hope his boss reads this and recognizes him for a job well done.

We stopped here on our way back from Fredericksburg. The ice cream was okay. The rocky road ice cream had way too many nuts in it, not many marshmallows, and not much ice cream. I had ordered a small and my husband ordered a medium in a different kind. Once we checked out and left, I looked at my cup and realized mine was stuffed full and my husband had 3/4 of his full. When I looked at the receipt, it turns out they were charging by weight and the young boy stuffed my small cup full and my husband's only 3/4. My small cup weighed .35 more than my husband's. So basically, I paid more for a small cup than my husband paid for a medium cup. I didn't really want that much ice cream, so what's the point of ordering a small then. He just basically ripped me off and made me pay for more than I wanted.
