They are good lumber store, load things for you, have some tools etc. Pricing on lumber stuff is a little antiquated via price books instead of computers and not posted so you can't see except via salesperson but they seem competitive just can't see prices till right there in front another person making it hard to compare before buying but usually are less or equal to lowes, better quality, and I love them loading it rather than me! Also large inventory, busy, and many contractors come here.

This place has been the best decision of my home building process. I’ve worked with Scott and he has been super helpful. We were able to get a quote within a couple days. He was able to schedule the deliveries as we were framing. We changed a few things and Thomas supply was able to get us more materials delivered the same day we called on multiple occasions. Great prices in comparison to 5 other suppliers I quoted. Amazing customer service. Can’t recommend Thomas Supply enough. If your in the Lake Livingston area, this is hands down the best place to buy building materials. These guys actually have employees that have only one job, to load your truck or trailer with all your wood, shingles, stone, you name it. You first see the sales people inside and order what you need with them, one on one... I'm talking REAL customer service here. Then take your receipt outside and the team out there gets you loaded up. So forgot about Lowe's, Home Depot, whoever...these guys are the real deal.Oh and the prices, almost all lower than the big name stores.

Competitive prices on lumber. Staff doesn't appear to be the friendliest folks at first. But those guys know whats going on. Sometimes a pain to navigate that yard, getting materials. Fortunately, they have some good guys in the yard. Good local business.

I buy materials here . It easy and convenient and prices are cheaper. You go in and place your order . You go to stall were your materials are they load them up for you or you can have them delivered. Great place.

I needed a culvert pipe so I went down to pay for one. Later the same day I found out I needed a bigger one so I called them back before they delivered it. I went to pay the remaining and decided to get an even bigger pipe so again I had changed my mind and the staff was very accommodating plus they delivered it that same day. Very pleased.

My only complaint is that they don't post the products they carry or their prices online. They have a website but it's rather useless. I hate having to call and disturb someone who has better things to do than answer my stupid questions

This is a great place for home/construction supplies. I am in Thomas supply at least three times a week. I work in construction and most of time they have what I need, if not they will order it for me. Lynn is a master at matching paint colors, just bring in a sample and he'll get you fixed up. They carry everything, lumber, hardware, paint, tools.....so on. They have better prices than Lowe's on most things. I highly recommend Thomas supply.

Not rudes per-say but when you walk in as a woman here they all look at you like you don't belong lol. I had to track down help even though there were at least 8 employees staring at me & not doing anything at their desks.. The dude who helped me seemed nervous as well. Was just a strange experience.

Worst place I ever bought from. Have been buying for years. They filled an order that I specifically ask for Sherman Williams paint. They never told me they didn't carry that brand filled it with PPG.THEY WOULD NOT TAKE IT BACK! OUT 480.00 DOLLARS. NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN THE OWNER Russel Thomas threatened me when I told him I'll take them to small claims court. And I quote Do what ever you have to you son of batch I have deep pockets. Some attitude for the president. No stars.

I went to purchase a 15 in culvert, told the guy I needed it to hook right up to next one. He says no problem, I purchase bring it back and what do u know it doesn't. So I have to go back and buy a coupler yea yea only $16 but still it's the point extra trips for no reason. Oh yard guy tell me they dont slide together u need coupler for everyone. I said no u don't . The salesman even said he screwed up, I should have gotten a discount or no charge on the coupler. Nope nothing.

Saturday at 11:50 employee closed the gates. I called inside and told them I was sitting at their gate and asked why they were closing early. I was told it came straight from Mr. Thomas. I've been coming here for 30 years. I'm sure they don't care, but I will never give them my business again.

By far the best professional level building materials vendor anywhere within 100 miles. We build all over this part of the state, from the coastal bend to College Station, Bryan, Crockett, Moscow, and no matter what they deliver - on time, with new equipment. The trucks are dependable, the fork lifts make things so much easier, sometimes saving us thousands of dollars in man-hours. The materials are mostly very decent and as a professional builder, we know they will ALWAYS take care of my needs. I have been buying from Thomas Supply since 1999, and for the last 5 years we have never gone anywhere else for our lumber, and fasteners. If you need a small project package - this is the place. If you are going to build a 10,000 sq. ft. home - THIS IS THE PLACE to get your materials for a fair price, delivered to your jobsite, no matter where you are within a few hundred miles. I know I will never go anywhere else~!

Busy. N a nice place but my lasy order was wrong .Helps when they give u the right lumber.. ask for 12 sheets 1/2 in cdx they gave me 3/4 in n my 1x4 were not sapost to be treated as i needed then for finish work. Extra trip to get the right stuff n now i have to figure out what I'm Gunna do with 12 sheets 3/4 cdx...
