Great people, great meat.Unexpected to find a butcher at the gas station, but the gas station is also is a fast food place!Didn't know what an armadilly egg was, but the photos are here. Cheese stuffed jalapeno wrapped in sausage wrapped in bacon. Cooked it over the fire and it worked out well.Can't wait to eat everything else I purchased.

The butcher recommended the brisket hamburger for the barbecue it was the best I think I've ever had. You get what you pay for and you pay a little more for this meat but it is high quality and worth the price

Great service, the best meat around Goodrich and Livingston TX the ground Brisket makes the best grilled burgers ever. We love the seasoned pork steaks and the filet mignon.

Update: I'm now a regular customer after two years. I'll go once or twice a week. The meat is the best. I'm pretty boring and stay with the same most of the time: Filet, Roast, Porterhouse steaks, ground brisket, pork chops, chicken breast, and more. All is simply the BEST. You can NOT go wrong here. (I still stand with my original bacon comment .... )Great store with high quality meats. I love the ground brisket and the hand cut rib-eyes. Next time we'll try the filets. And the porkchops and .... always good. The bacon is a little bit too dry (great taste though) for me and gets really boring after a couple of days in the fridge. The prices are not really high compared to quality (in fact I would say low price for high quality). I've met 3 people there now (given we just moved here for weeks ago that will change). All have been more than friendly and going out of their way to help me get exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this meat market.

We absolutely love this place we go about 5 to 6 days a week! We depend on them for our wonderful meals each night! But when time got away from us we called and said we are on the way! 5 minutes later we are at the store doors locked! Would not let us in like all of the employees before! Maybe they should rethink the employee's that weren't so kind!

Okay, as in sitting here indulging in one of the most amazing creations I've ever seen in my life! I told myself I'm getting in my phone and reviewing this place!What can I say? Amazing! For quite a few reasons!Avocado Bomb! I asked "what's the bomb made of? Lol wait why does it matter? It's avocado wrapped in meat, and hugged with bacon! But really? Go ahead and give me 4 of them though." 🤣 the bomb? A pepperjack, cream cheese mixture! So we love avocado with lemon pepper, so that's all I put before throwing them on the grill. And, I understand the Bomb now. It's an explosion of flavor. From the pepperjack to the avocado, the ground chuck, the bacon, and the hint of lemon pepper! I'm going to eat until I'm sick! (In a good way of course!We love Brisket Bombs too. The Atmadillo Eggs are like no other ones I've ever had. Hands down the best I've ever bought to grill!I love that I can buy exactly how many chops, steaks, or chicken breasts I need instead of having to buy a whole extra pack for like 2 pieces of meat. And they have some value packs for pretty decent prices. (I personally won't get one with steak in it next time, but I like my steak rare and I don't like frozen steaks if I'm grilling. It's just my personal preference but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the frozen ones I got.) OMG can't forget Stuffed Porkchops! The stuffing was still perfect, and I also threw these on the pit! So so good! My 2 year old ate almost a whole one by himself. He is a fan of this grilled meat his momma been cooking.Every person I've encountered working there has been so friendly and pleasant. They are patient and take their time with you.I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to them! They are amazing!

Always purchase stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon and air fry them. They are always fresh with lots of cheese and bacon. If you want specialty items it is awesome to have a place you can buy 1 or 2 stuffed peppers or stuffed tomatoes because I don't have to buy all of the ingredients just pick them up and take them home to cook, no mess to clean. Great quality of meat also. If you have not stopped to look around I advise you too.

Best steaks in town. I can’t even buy big box store steaks anymore because they’re so disappointing in comparison. Prices are great for the quality and we love to support local places anyhow! Lady that works here with the black hair is consistently rude but not even worth taking a star away because I can ignore someone with an attitude problem. The rest of the staff have always been inviting and great.

GREAT, GREAT Boudin!!! Although a bit overpriced, the Steaks are ALWAYS Top Notch!! If you call ahead a few days to a week, you may be able to get the BEST Beef Ribs that you'll ever make at home!!! Also have pork & chicken, some cheese, Bo Jackson sausage, and Earl Campbell sausage!!

We're in for the weekend and wanted to grill some steaks. J&m is awesome! I bought a filet and a 2" thick ribeye. Meat was very fresh and tasty. Good selection of hot sauces also. Highly recommend!

I read some of the reviews from the customers that have bad experiences, and it frustrates me. But I say don’t let one bad apple ruin a whole bushel of great ones. I’ve been buying meat from R&D’s now J&M Meat Market since I can remember and have never had a problem with the quality of meat I’ve bought there. I know the butcher (Tina Dunn) very well, and know how she cuts. She takes pride in her style of cut and the placement of the product to put on display very seriously. All of the bone out steaks are cut by hand with care, the bone-in ( T-Bone, Pork chops) are cut by saw and cleared of bone residue properly, the ground beef is made fresh every day with brisket, ribeye and sirloin with no added dyes or liquid, and she always keeps a clean work area. The customer service is good, but can be great with some proper training. I like a place where I can go in and select my steak, and if they don’t have it in the case, they will cut it for me right before my very eyes! And if they don’t have it on hand, it usually comes in the next day. You can’t get that at Walmart, HEB or Brookshire Brothers. This place will always have my business if they keep the quality and pride in their meat and work!

Great meat market. Competitive pricing with chain stores however the meat is fresh and not packaged days before sale. They also have BBQ supplies and sauces. Fresh potatoes, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. We enjoy picking up fresh meat for our BBQs.

I drove 30 miles to this market as I often go to purchase quality meats.Today I wanted a ribeye roast and the young person told me I would have to place order and pick up Thursday. I explained I drove to his store to purchase a 100.00 dollar roast and not steak. He told me he couldn’t cut the huge whole ribeye in half. I again tried to explain and his snide answer was this is the day after Christmas. I told him big deal who cares!I asked for the owner and he refused.To the owner— this little jerk just cost you a customer that has purchased for years and sent you dozens of other customers.I will never be back!!!

Went in to buy some Filets and Ribeyes. They were out of the Filets, kid behind the counter wasn't even sure when they would get more in. Rest of steaks had thick fat on them, which you pay for per pound. Not impressed. Went to the Walmart Supercenter Market and bought some delicious Black Angus Filets and Ribeyes, minus the thick fat which I won't eat. Never will go back again.
